Confrontation

After the talk. Arlette and Elise ran to their parents that still stay at the palace. Right, both father gives me a threatening glare at dinner but their daughter scold them.

George and Aine smile at me and pats me "You had grown big now, Arthur. This sister is very proud of you."."Hahaha... You're just like your Father. The difference is that only your mother attracts your father." George said. Their smile softened when talking about my parents.

Even though they are butler and maid. Both of them still family to us. Then at night, I got intruder, Arlette and Elise get inside my room with a red face. They avoid glancing at my face and just sleep at my bed. I could feel their stare behind my back before both of them doze off to sleep while I keep meditating.

In the morning I got my answer. Both mother apparently talks about the first night for a couple to them. Now both of them giggling at each other while their daughter avoiding any sort of eye contact in the room. Their father produces tears and drinking in the morning.

I could see them sneaking out and not long a drunken yell could be heard outside. Of course, the news got heard by the maid and move toward the soldier.

Some soldiers that been protecting the Princess didn't agree but what can they say. So, they try to humiliate me.

One day, when the morning practice. Gillhart shout to their late soldier. "What are you? Do you think you're strong? We have to wake up earlier to train so we can strong enough to protect the princess and the royal family." While hearing this, I don't know if they made it up or not but the timing couldn't be more perfect.

I ignore them only throw a glance and back to my corner. As always I made a drawing which means it's the line but this day. The soldier starts getting aggressive with their bully. On the next 3 days after the morning call event, one soldier decided to cross my line and drop to the ground fuming bubbles out of his mouth.

The other soldier quickly panics and took out their swords. "What have you done to him? As I thought, you really had an evil thought.". Then I release the mana around.

People start to grit their teeth enduring it. Some drop on their knee, even getting blood trailing down from their nose. "I told you to stay away from the line. You weakling." I said and attract my mana back.

Gillhart notices the commotion. "We're sorry for our behavior, but attacking his Majesty subject isn't a light crime.". I look at him, he did apologize sincerely that his man is in the wrong. "Then how about a spar? Aren't you too weak that even the king needs you to only defend his daughter?" I taunt him to accept.

He organizes his breathing and thinks deeply. I compliment him for not taking rash action "Nice one, you don't fall into my trap but.". Then the king and queen get into the court.

Their face looked horrified. They sense my mana that I leak back then. Since it's alarming they rush here. "Even though you avoid direct confrontation with me, in the end, you lose the battle. Next time, you better control your man. Good luck." I said to him leaving them.

I greet Leon and Edlyn "Father, Mother. What makes you wake up early?". I said with a slight bow to them. Edlyn smile while Leon blushing since this is the first time he had a son-in-law.

"Uuuhh... Umm... Nothing. You can get back to your training." Leon said after looking around but I could see the tint red in his face. Both of them walk toward the gathering soldier.

They start to tell the story while also got scolded not that they got demoted or fired but hopefully they learn.

The hero then comes to the training ground. Both the king and queen along with the soldier change place not to cause an event. When they got to the training ground, they confuse since they don't have any trainers.

"Right, the one that has a skill for sword and weapon. You guys can spar while waiting for the trainer. As usual, mage train magic with Arlette. Bow with Elise. The trainer will be here shortly after a short moment of briefing." I said.

Since the first time they got here, I notice no one really against it. Even Daiki and his group are calm. Since only these people, I want to try new magic.

I take a wooden sword and levitate it with dirt and wind then I compress the wind and then fire behind the hilt and firing it like a bullet.

The sword flies somewhere, and it failed but cause too much commotion. So I start to pretend nothing happen. Arlette and Elise giggle behind me.

Yatanagi then comes to me "I want to ask something." I turn and looked at him. His serious face really something. 'How can people keep that face all the time?' "Okay, ask away."

"You're with us from the start and from the king said you might be one of the heroes. So are you one of us or not?" Yatanagi said.

"Right, how to answer to that? Let's see. Yatanagi-san right?" He nods and waiting for my answer "Can you keep a secret?". "Sure, as long as the secret didn't harm any of my friends." Yatanagi said.

"Right, since you're smart. I will tell you. I'm Ryūtarou and the secret might harm other classmates if you told them." I said without remorse. "Then, how can I believe you and what makes it harmful for us if you're Ryūtarou." He said but I could see he's shocked by his change of expression and sweat that starts dripping from his head.

"Isn't this enough? How can I know you're the class president? and also the name of your friend that died? You want me to tell you my story? I'm an orphan, I work when I'm 12 and live by myself." I start reciting one by one. "Okay, okay. I believe you but Ryūtarou-san." I cut him in the middle.

"I'm Arthur now." I said and he corrects himself. "Right, yes. Arthur-san. How can it harm us if I told the other?" Yatanagi said since he just talks to his dead friends.

"First, I got bullied by Daiki group but now they're calmer. Iseri for some reason is creepy, she kept looking at us when you said my name. Oi... Don't look at her. Also, I kinda stole Rime's Sword art. I only need one thing by telling you this." I said then apologize to him. Yatanagi then took a deep breath and positioning his glasses. "Then do you have information that the king disclose?"

"I don't know about that but the information in this world some become legend while some we don't even know the truth. Like there are so many kinds of stronger creatures that roam this world. We can only saw it with our own eyes." I said to him. He nods and thank me for answering his question but then asks me again. "What makes you believe in me? and what is your request?" Arthur then answers it "Because I need a friend, from Earth that is.". Yatanagi for the first time let out a smile "Friend, it is." Then he went back to the other.

Arlette decide to confront Yatanagi "What did you discuss with my fiancé?" Even though it looked like she's curious about the discussion. It's more like she declaring me for herself since some began to sneak some glance at me.

People start to shout "Fiancé??". Then Arlette adds more "Yes, he is mine and Elise's fiancé." She said with declaring pose while glaring at the girl that glancing at me.

She really is like her mother. Using every chance there is. I then walk beside her "Are you really that Arlette? You used to be airheaded around me." I ask while whispering. She maintains noble like a smile "What can I do? Everything went blank back then every time I look at you.". I smile wryly looking at her behavior.

Soon, the soldiers are back from the scolding. They avoid gazing at me and turn to the heroes to train them. the king and queen about to return but I call Leon.

"Oi old man, why are you blushing this morning when I call you father?" I whisper to him and I could see a tick mark on his head. He tried to calm his anger and speak with a lower voice "Who are you calling old man!?"

"Then it's alright to call you father?" I ask him while giggling. "What do you want really?" He asks me after sighing.

"Teach me lightning magic." I said quickly with puppy eyes technique. He looked at me surprised, Edlyn giggles beside him and whisper "He really looked like you.".

Leon blush again "Shut up, Honey. Fine boy, let's go to that corner. I will train you to be able to protect my daughter."

Then Leon teaches me about lightning magic by blasting me with it. At first, Arlette quickly ran to me and scold his father but I explain to her. Even though she embarrass she still said she won't talk for a day with Leon.

With Leon teaching me also at the same time blast me, I could train my light magic to heal. Now I could heal myself.
