He was not fine

Lenora wandered around, without paying attention to where she was going. She walked but didn't look at her feet and didn't look at the passersby either. She just walked around and nearly crashed into every incoming stranger.

Drifus sometimes steered the lady, when the passersby didn't just move away.

"What?" After a while Drifus just stood there. "What happened? Worried about the kid?"

"I think we should go back."

"Why? You think Elfrieda might attack again?"

"More than likely. We only bought some time."

"But you knew that and still chose to come here. Surely, you had a plan. So why are you getting worried now?"

They stopped a war, gave enough time for the nobles to regroup and form a proper response team, and then left. Surely Droban would be fine, right?

"I," Lenora sighed and smiled. "Nevermind, let's figure out if we can do anything about the gateway to hell."
