Contemplation

Lenora watched the girl finish her soup and then lick the bowl clean. Once finished, the girl flashed her teeth or rather lack thereof. She'd been missing a couple of front teeth. "Thank you very much!" A little odd on the pronunciation but she had the spirit.

"You're welcome," Lenora patted her head one last time before the girl ran away with the other boy.

Meanwhile, Jacob the pickpocket stood on the side. "What do you want me to do? Something dangerous right? That's why you want someone from the slums to do it."

"It is something dangerous but not for you," Lenora said. "You have the 'swift hand' skill, don't you?"

"How'd-" he paused. "And?"

"That's a rather rare skill, even master thieves lack. I want you to put that to use for other purposes. You'll learn craft and help me build some things."

"If I refuse?"
