Chapter 5: Beggars Can't Be Choosers

Looking them dead in the eyes, "Where's Mammon, this is his newest realm isn't it," and hearing me say that to them, Sally was confused, but Milly became focused.

Opening her mouth, Milly said, "Mammon is the devil king of greed, is he the same one that invaded your realm?" she asked vividly, she's trying to investigate.

"No, unlike earth realms depiction of Mammon, he hails the same title, but isa demon prince of the open realms" I stated as I'm not going to let her investigate me much.

"Really? So like, demons and devils are actually real" the other girl Sally butted in, and we both nodded to her. But as the mood didn't shift, I said, "He also saved my life" 

Looking down at my knees, to appear depressed by the situation that happened, "As Yeenoghu the demon lord of savagery and the gnolls attacked, I managed to get help from him only after finding out almost everyone in my realm had been killed, including my king and queen" 

But then looking up at them, "But seeing as how he's not a recognizable name, or deity here, he must have sent me to earth realms rather than another abyssal realm" 

After finishing, I looked to their reaction to see if I was right, but Milly crossed her arms as Sally got confused.

"Nada, the solar system we're in is called Green Star, not earth, and as for traveling to realms, it's unheard of too" I was shocked upon hearing that, "But how!?" I shouted...

Looking at my hands, "But we're in Paris, a country in-" 

"Paris, sure. That's the name of our settlement, but we're not exactly on a world, we're on a moon base, not realm" I couldn't wrap my head around what she was saying.

And looking at her with a twitching eye, "What?. . . " 

She just pointed left of her to a window, and as I looked out, I saw a large circle in the sky, full of mostly greens.

Although I've never seen a picture of earth too, that was definitely not it, it had little water, and no massive seas.

"So... Where are we then? We speak the same language" 

I said to myself, but heard, "Because interstellar travel happened centuries ago, and we moved right on into space. Right now, we're still exploring the galaxy, but as for the language issue, you've probably gained it from having sex with me," she said, but even then, I could already understand her before we had sex.

Right now, they're speaking Abyssal, not English.

Therefore, a demon has to be rooted with them.

That's the only explanation for their civilization.

Maybe it was a deal of vast universal knowledge from some of the older ones, or power in magic, maybe even servitude, many factors come into place with all of this.

Which's strange, and if I am in another demon's territory, then I need to get out of here quickly before they notice me, especially due to our past with the other demons of our race; Thanks to demon lord Lotus, one of the seven true incubuses. So I really need to watch my back now.

But as of right now, I don't have the means to leave just yet, I need to rebuild my strength before I can act, so I might as well as play along with these freaky humans.

But do I have the means to make a form like them.

I can enter the ethereal with an ethereal body.

And continue to be in the material plane like this.

But it'll cost a massive amount of magic to reconstruct another body to be exactly like theirs, it'll take a while.

I don't have time like that, I need to get stronger.

Meaning I'll have to save and build up more mana.

"Shit..." contemplating too much, I spoke out, and as I had, "Look, it's going to be okay, you've been through a lot in the last 3 days, if you want, you can stay with us"

Hearing her, I darted my head, and before Sally could detest against me staying, "3 days!" I yelled at them.

And nodding her head, I stood up, "Damn it, I've been asleep for too long, how much have past since then," what i was originally was going to do, was try to gather resources to see if anyone in my realm had escaped.

But now, it's either everyone's dead and no one's left, or they managed to escape, meaning I have no clue where they are, or what resources I'll need to connect to them.

Hitting my forehead, I turned to the window and walked over to it, opening it and speaking to the others, "Thanks for the offer, but I have to go, you've done enough for me already, I appreciate it, but I have nothing left to offer" 

I gave it all to mammon, and for asking for his help, it's our tradition to give him more in return for a life he will spare, and by doing this, I hope he'll save any survivors.

But that being said, with what I need to do, they'll only hold me back, and I'd rather not deal with trivial things too.

So first on the list, gather money and a new shelter.

Then recon and hunting plains, it's gonna take time.
