War Of The Covens, France Vs. Australia (37)

Rhett and I battle hard. We get split up and I don't know where he is. I try to keep my eye on the area where my boys are. I can't see them but they mind link me often to let me know they are ok. They are fighting with their daddy. My boys are so strong.

Rhett has been out of sight for so long but I can't focus on it anymore because I am under a heavy attack. Two witches from France are trying to put a spell on me but I change from wolf to snake faster than they can cast. My snake bites one and my wolf tears out the other ones heart. I'm exhausted by the end of the battle.

I look around and see that the French coven has been overpowered. I change to my human form. I have blood all over me. I run to my pups. They both are fine. I kiss them both, then I hug Brett and Isobel. I kiss Brett. I look around for Rhett but I can't find him. No one has seen him since the battle started.

"Brett, I'm worried about him. He wouldn't have just left us to fight it out. Where could he be?", I'm shaking now. "Ana honey I don't know but I promise to find out. You go shower, I'll put the boys down and find Rhett. Isobel can watch the boys and the coven will protect you all. Kara is here too so it will be ok. Keep the phone on love."

I cry the whole shower. I just don't want to be a young partial widow. I need to know where my mate is. The Moon Goddess knows, I need to talk to her. "Moon Goddess! Moon Goddess, please grace me with your presence. I need to ask you for help. My mate is missing. "

After my shower I get dressed for bed. I mind link Brett that I'm going to lay down for a few minutes. I hadn't been in bed more than 2 minutes before I'm out. I dream of the Moon Goddess. Her silver eyes helps me to identify her as the Moon Goddess. She tells me she has protected the love of my life, and she has left me a gift. I ask about Rhett but she just says I can't have it all. I look at her funny and ask what she means. She tells me that Rhett will be found but it will be too late. I wake up screaming.

Kara comes running in to check on me. I explain the dream. She tells me she needs to help Brett find him. I agree with her and she leaves. Everyone is uptight. The Australian coven tries to contact the French coven but no one answers. The elders decide to go talk to the French elders in person.

Kara finds Brett but they can't find Rhett. I try to mind link him but I hear nothing. I wish we could find my mate. My heart hurts. I need Brett to hold me but he has to hunt with the others for his twin. I am beyond exhausted, no idea why other than emotional exhaustion.

Brett comes home exhausted, dirty and depressed. I take care of him. I give him a bath, feed him and put him to bed. He lets me do everything for him, which he has never done. I hold him all night. We both sleep out of the emotional need to be together.

Kara finally gets in contact with the French, she knows that the elders are working on it but refuses to give up. They confirm they have him and have been torturing him. Trying to get information on our boys. Rhett hasn't told them anything. They tell Kara they will kill him if we don't turn over the boys. I just break down because I will never give up my boys.

The French coven demands our boys for Rhett but we say no way. Then they say one boy for Rhett. Again we say no. They tell us that we have sealed his fate. I have wolves, snakes, the coven, the royals, everyone looking for him. The Australian coven elders declare war on the French. The war last for days. Kara and Brett aren't allowed to go fight. The coven forbids it.

The boys are happy and even though they know what is happening they stay happy. I don't understand it. I hurt so bad over Rhett. It helps me to keep him close so I wear his shirt to bed. Brett holds me even when we can't sleep. We need each other for strength.

After 2 weeks the Australian coven finds Rhett. He is very close to death. They bring him back home but the second I see him I know that he will die. All the magic they have won't help. I know because I see it in my dreams. I feel it as do his siblings.

The only chance he has is fluid from our boys spine. It will cure the toxins given by the French. First we have to run a DNA test on me, the boys and my mates. The boys have to be fathered by Rhett for it to work. The doctor takes our blood, the boys and I are easy but the paternity test is difficult because of the twins. It comes down to the genome DNA. The boys have my mitochondrial DNA so that part is easy. The father is harder to determine in twins.

After 48 hours we get the results and both boys are fathered by Brett. This means that Rhett will die in a matter of hours. I have spent as much time as the doctor will allow me to with Rhett. I cry constantly because for over a year I've felt something was wrong. I just didn't know what was going to happen.

As I'm laying my head on his hand he whispers my name, "Anastasia". It's so soft I almost miss it. "I'm here babe.", I say as I wipe the sweat from his forehead. "Ana I....", he starts but trails off. "Sshhhh, babe it's ok. You don't have to talk.", I let him know. "Ana I'm sorry I failed you so much.", I stop him from talking by placing my finger on his lips.

"Rhett you have nothing to apologize for. You have never failed me. Baby you have always loved me beyond what I ever dreamed was possible. I only wish we had more time together.", tears are flowing as I kiss him.

"Brett will take care of our family love. Just know that I will always be with you.", Rhett tells me. I'm crying so hard, holding him. He kisses my head and then he is gone. I start screaming, "No! No Rhett don't go! Please don't leave us!" Brett comes running into the room followed by Kara. Brett pulls me away from Rhett's body. Kara is crying uncontrollably.

I look into Brett's beautiful eyes and see Rhett too. I am sobbing as Brett kisses me. He is crying too. "Ana, he will always be with us in our heart. We need to let him live through us, in our love", Brett holds me close to his heart as he leads me out of the room. I just don't understand how... The magic is just so wrong. So dark. So evil.

I talk to our boys about daddy Rhett, "Boys mommy needs to tell you something sad. Daddy Rhett isn't going to come home anymore. He has gone to another rhelm to live. He can't live here with us anymore. Some bad warlocks took daddy Rhett to a place called France and did some very bad things to him."

"We know mommy. Daddy Rhett told us. He said that he will watch over us. He loves us very much and hopes the pups in your tummy will help make you happy again.", my little Alpha pup Sean tells me. "Mommy you should see the doctor soon so our sisters are ok.", my little Beta pup Keith says.

I'm in shock and can't say anything else. I kiss the boys and leave the nursery. I find Kara to watch the boys while I go out. I make my way to the pack Doctor. I request a pregnancy test but he already knows, "Lady Martin I can run the test for you but let's just do an ultrasound to show you, because I heard about your mate Rhett Martin the famous Warlock. I think you need this comfort now my Lady"

I follow him to the ultrasound room where he does the test. He shows me two very small beansprouts. They are in one sack and are just floating in my uterus. "They are so tiny. Are they ok?", I ask. "Yes my lady they are perfect. My lady how did you know? It's too early for you to have noticed yet.", now it's his turn to ask the questions.

"My mate told my boys who told me." I answer. "I see. My lady it is my advice that you tell no one for now. After everything you've been through you should just enjoy this with your family.", he tells me. "I agree with you doctor because they will be in danger.. Can you keep this secret as well?", I'm hoping that I can trust him.

"Yes my lady I can. If you need anything just mind link, even though you are not officially part of our pack, you are however a Royal. Royals as you know can mind link any pack.", Doctor Brown is so kind to me.

"Doctor Brown are you from the states?", I ask. "No ma'am I have always been here. Never been out of Australia. Why do you ask?", he gives me quizzical look. "Because my family name before marriage was Brown. I just thought we might be related.", again he looks at me like I have 2 heads.

"My Lady I knew your name and history. I had never thought about being related to Royalty. I was orphaned and lived in the orphanage until I was 7. I was adopted by a doctor and his wife. They were human and paid me to leave on my 16th birthday when I changed. I never knew my birth parents.", he looks very sad.

"Doctor how did you come to be a Brown?", I ask. "Well the nun who found me found a note and some money. The note said my name is William Brown. I just go by Will now. A lot of Australians are called by the name Brown so I just never questioned it.", he tells me.

"Would you be willing to do a DNA test for me?", I ask. "My Lady I would love to do the test but it's dangerous before birth.", he trys to persuade me. "No, no, no, not on the girls Doctor. On us, you and I.", I am very serious. He looks stunned, "Oh, yes my Lady I can do that."

"Good!", I say. I give him my blood before saying, "Another secret between us Doctor. I would love to see you related to my father. You are probably his age so if not brothers at least family. I hope I'm right it would be so awesome. "

"We actually have the same birthday, that's why I was so interested in your family. I was fascinated by sharing the same birthday. Wow, this is just so mind blowing. The test will be back asap. I will let you know immediately."

"If this turns out to be true just come over and show my dad. He will be here for a few days because of the funeral. I bet he will be extremely happy to find family.", I say. "I will attend the funeral out of respect My Lady. ", he says. "Thank you Doctor and by the way my name is Anastasia, just Ana for family. Don't be so formal from now on.", I let him know.

I go back home and hug my boys. I can't wait to tell Brett about the girls and my dad about the doctor. So many unexpected twist and turns in Australia. I just wanted to bring my mates home I never dreamed of this being the result.
