Rejection

Caydon's Pov 

My sixteenth birthday came and went, however I still have not shifted. Two years later, Before all kinds of taunts were thrown at me , based on the bad acne and glasses were also the fact im small. However since I have not shifted it has gotten much worse. I moved through the sea of people ,the glow of the bon fire flickered through the other wise dim clearing. The stonecrest pack was lost in the festivities, as another group of wolves turned 18 now able to find their mates. This was basically a pack wide hook up party . I however know I won't be getting a mate since I don't have a wolf, I'm only here because the future alpha asked me to be his wing man. " Hey loner why don't you mingle ? 

" Chris walked over . " No thank you I'm quite alright in my chair . " I smiled at the Alpha to be, sat between two boulders.

Chris cocked his head to the side. " oh come on it's a good night have fun." I looked at him. 

" Chris your like a brother to me and I appreciate what your doing here but the truth no one wants to be near me let alone mated to me. I don't think I have a mate, and I'm fine with that." I finished. Before taking a sip of my beer. " You give up to soon , theirs still a chance you can shift late. Plus you could still be mated if you don't shift its more rare but it is possible, hell I know wolves who have human mates." Chris responded . Chuckling I shook my head. " My dear future Alpha why don't you look for our Luna ." I suggested. He nodded. " Fine but get up and talk to some one. " he replied. scanning the crowded clearing I spotted My brother josh, besides Chris he's my only friend, seeing him I smiled . smile "fine. " " Good." he smirked then he walked away no doubt surveying the new arrivals in hopes of finding his mate. Then as promised I moved to Josh. 

" Hey how's the search going?" I asked. Josh turned. " oh hey" he sighed sadly . 

" I was rejected " " what?" I asked. Rejections are painful or so I've heard. Looking at his sharp features it definaly wasn't his status or looks . We are the betas sons, however he is a ladies man and has a wolf where as I am the complete opposite. " What happened? " I asked concerned . "My Mate .." he sighed . 

" Ivy is my mate she rejected me because of the bullying . " 

" You haven't bullied her." I was confused "no but I never stopped my girlfriend and her friends from doing so either." He answered sadly . 

" Maybe you can win her over, due to the fact you didn't bully her yourself maybe she'll forgive you." I replied in attempts to keep his spirits up

" Maybe but I doubt it ." he sighed then went back to downing his beer.

" Well you never know if you give up, so don't . She can always take back her rejection ." I may be fine not having a mate but most every other wolf wants love and all that bull shit. The two of us were talking as a scream rang out behind me. " You have got to be kidding me!" An over baring squeaky voice was heard. Recognizing the voice I groaned internally ,Chasity Blake. The most popular girl in school Also Chris's twin sister. " "I can't be mated to a wolf Less scab riddled pipe cleaner with glasses." She huffed stamping her foot like a three year old. She was physically pretty , legs for days curvs in all the right places . DD breasts wich her little tight black dress that barly covered anything. But she was selfish cold and ugly on the inside. My eyes shifted to her,as I set my drink down. Pretending her words did not bother me Chasity's words always cut me deeper than anyone I guess now i know why ." "Well thats quite alright , I don't want a heartless whore for a mate so it works out. " I shot back . A growl came from her as she moved forward slapping me hard across the face . A Sharp pain radiated through my cheek and flew through the air slamming hard into a tree a few hundred feet away. A sickening loud snap was heard as I hit the large trunk, the air was knocked out of me. Causing me to gasp as blood dripped out the corner of my mouth. "Caydon! Panic was laced in Josh's voice a loud growl erupted from him before he burst into a very large black wolf . Chris moved Infront of chasity "Shift back now,and tell me what is going - " His word broke off as his eyes moved to me . 

Caydon!Now that Chasity wasn't in danger Chris left his spot infront of his twin. Getting on his knees Infront of me. "What the hell happened? " He growled. 

Chasity growled he called me a heartless whore . 

Chris looked to her . "yea and what you do to him to get that reaction."  She huffed "Nothing yet you interrupted my rejection." 

His eyes went wide. As he looked at me as I begain to wheeze . 

" I, Chasity Blake Reject you Caydon Wes as my Mate. As soon as she spoke the words she went white as a piece of paper. 

The ground shook as Chris growled in furry. "Are you stupid? he can't get rejected right now. You'll kill him. " My skin felt hot as my heart felt as if someone was slowly ripping it out . Gathering as much air as I could I replied. " I , Caydon Wes Accept your rejection. " I choked out barley conscious . Feelings as if my heart had been ripped out, as well as gasping for air due to a collapsed lung . My vision went black . " No stay with me the doctors almost here. " Chris voice was full of pain. "Caydon stay awake !" My brother's panicked voice and fast foot steps was the last thing I heard before my world went silent.
