Brother

Stanley needed to know why Nova was doing what she was doing. He looked at her, about to ask the question when Fred did it before him.

"Why?" he asked. "Why do you want to kill your brother?" 

Stanley nodded, adding his own intentions to know the answer to the question.

Nova looked at the two and thought for a moment as to how exactly to answer that question. "Remember what I promised you two when you two joined? What I would give to you once we are done."

"Yes," Fred said. "You said I would get my powers evolved."

Stanley looked at Fred in surprise. He had no idea that it was the same reason why Fred was here as well. All this time, he had imagined that he had simply been there from the start of the group's making, and had never actually asked how Nova had got them. 

"To get your power, you have to kill a few people in order to use their soul energy to improve yours," Nova said. "The more you do, the more you improve."
