Strongest Hunter's Ascension

The code name “Shikari” was the only thing that Arun learned from his Status window, about his past. Why he didnt have his memories, when everyone in the Tower of Yggdrasil had theirs, he didnt know. But three things were clear to him from the start. First, he was an anomaly in the Tower of Yggdrasil, and his existence would be erased if the truth came out. Second, unlike others in the Tower, he knew exactly where he was going and was helped by someone outside of the tower. Third, Shikari, meaning The Hunter is a pseudonym that was best suited to him. Because he felt that he had a taste of blood before even setting foot in the Tower. In a world that should breed fear and concern, an environment that makes his fellow players falter, Arun instead finds himself thriving. Perhaps, he was born for this kind of world. _______________________________________________ One can chat with me on my Discord: https://discord.gg/kb7jehGPFX

Helian Rtoss-1

When Ivor took out the weapon and pointed it at Arun, in that instant, that man sealed his faith. Arun knew that the soldiers and adventurers had surrounded the area and would move in, whenever they thought would be necessary. Which is why he was not in the least bothered or afraid of the threat before him. And as he had predicted, as soon as Ivoir took out the weapon, out of nowhere, he unknowingly proved that he was in fact a Barbarian.

Then all the soldiers and adventurers moved in, and "Now what will you do?" Arun asked. Ivor was stunned by the sheer number of people that had surrounded them. But his shock only lasted but a moment.

"So this was a trap." He said as if he was aware of the trap. "Like I said so," This made Sonia roll her eyes. Even she could see how this man was full of shit.

It was then Arun felt that something was wrong over there. They were shocked to see, so many people. Yet, they were not afraid, and this was giving him a very bad feeling. He felt that he might have underestimated both of them.

Which is why, he decided to take himself out of the equation.

"Guys!" Arun yelled, addressing everyone around him, "I am a little bit tired.. Why dont you guys take care of these fucking barbarians?"

He then took a step back, when suddenly Sonia's expression changed. She put her hand into her ear as if listening to the radio.

Is she wearing a wire? Is there such a technology in the world

"Ivor, the eagle has returned," Sonia said, making Ivor serious.

"JACK!" Ivor yelled, and one of the earthlings threw a pot on the road, which emanated this thick white cloud that covered the area around them.

Arun himself was blinded, but he was smart. As soon as he heard Ivor yell, he immediately darted and started running towards the adventurers while keeping his head down.

He heard several arrows whistle above his head, heard several explosions, but he never stopped until he reached the edge of the fog. As he got out, he found around 6 swords pointing at his neck. As the soldiers realized who he was, they let him go.

"They are getting away!" Someone yelled from the fog, and the soldiers who were previously pointing their swords at him went into the fog without a second thought. While he remained outside.

Arun relaxed himself and sighed with relief. It was then someone tapped his shoulders. He looked around to come face to face with a middle-aged man. The instant when he lay his eyes on the man, the instincts of Arun started screaming at him. This man was dangerous, like Adam.

The middle-aged man was wearing well-polished silver armor. He had a white cape on his back and a long shield with a sun inscribed on it. The main weapon of the man was a long sword. Unlike the typical long sword, the man possessed a long sword that was not as wide as the usual ones, as well as, this sword was also long. When kept on the ground, he felt that the sword could reach the height of a man's chest.

"Why are you not going after them?" the man asked, looking at him from up and down.

"Mana…" he simply said, "I lost most of my mana extinguishing the fire, sire,"

The man looked surprised, "You know who I am?"

"I can only guess," he answered truthfully, "But something inside of me tells me that I should show some respect to you,"

The man smirked, "I love smart adventurers," he said and then took a step toward the fog behind Arun. "They know what is best for them," The man took out his sword from his back, swung it once, and all the fog dispersed.

With the dispersion of fog, the devastation of what the earthlings did to the forces of the city was exposed. When the reinforcement arrived, they swiftly started caring care of everything. While Arun and the middle-aged man stood by the side.

Around of dozen injured people were lying on the ground, while more than two dozen people were dead. Seeing the devastation, he couldnt help but ask, How come they were able to kill so many people?

The man beside him didnt seem bothered by the injuries and bodies before him. Arun didnt notice it at first, but now as he was standing by the side of the man, he was able to tell that the man was drunk. He could smell the stuff that locals drink from his cape. Only when everything was taken care of, the woman in charge of soldiers from earlier came around.

She gave them a brief report of what was happening, and how they had handled the situation. It was then that the man spoke, for the first time since the incident, "Sasha," the woman saluted the middle-aged man, "Bring this man to the guest quarters of the mansion. I would like to talk to him the next morning,"

And with the man jumped on the roof of the building opposite to them, which was around 30 feet away from them. And the man vanishes with a trace. Arun and the woman looked at the feeling figure of the man with awe.

"Dont mind him," the woman said, "He is acting all elusive and all because he is drunk. He will talk to you tomorrow when is sober." She said. And then asked, "Shall we?"

Arun followed the woman, who took him to a carriage. And soon he realized who that man was. The woman was taking him to Helian Rtoss's manor, he was the city lord of the place. Adam told him something about Rtoss, like how he was the only city lord who was addicted to alcohol. He was the weakest of the city lords and was considered a fool by many. But he was still so strong, that for now, Arun couldnt even see the extent of his powers.

The good thing was, that night he was able to spend his night in a rather soft bed, which didnt smell like pee. And for now, he was able to good night's sleep.
