Daylight lingered.
Sophia Cloud was carried back to the ward by Christopher Lewis.
The doctor said there was no major issue, but the patient could not be subjected to any further stimulation. Christopher looked at her lying unconscious on the hospital bed, barely hanging on to life, and felt his own breath becoming labored.
A week later, Sophia Cloud finally could be discharged.
She avoided Christopher and returned to the door of the Harrell Family once more.
——Please, let me in, I just want to see my child.
Sophia Cloud begged the butler outside, and although he felt sympathy, he dared not let her in at this time.
"Miss Cloud, you better hurry back. When the master comes around and looks for you, the Young Master is your child; there's no need to be so anxious," he said with a furrowed brow, refusing her.
