If looks could kill, Tom would definitely be long gone by now.

Fortunately, Boss Rex was wary of the potency of snake venom and didn't dare make a move.

After a brief pause, he stopped looking at Tom and turned his attention to the others behind him.

"Anyone else want to leave? Stand up now if you do," Boss Rex asked coldly.

After a moment of silence, a man with glasses raised his hand.

"Boss Rex, please let me go too," the man with glasses pleaded weakly.

"You're free to go if you want. This place is come and go as you please," Boss Rex said with a slight smile, his demeanor surprisingly gentle.

"Thank you, Boss Rex," the man with glasses said, a look of relief spreading across his face as he stood up and started walking towards Tom and the others.

However, just then, Lucas stepped up behind him and suddenly slashed at his throat!

Blood sprayed more than 3 feet!

The man with glasses had not expected to be throat-slashed. He clutched at his throat tightly, but it was no use,blood gushed out like a fountain.

"Help... save me..." The man with glasses collapsed weakly, his voice gurgling unclearly from his throat, but he soon breathed his last.

Seeing this bloody scene, everyone's face changed.

No one had expected Lucas to be so ruthless, to kill a man in public, treating human life as if it were nothing!

"Does anyone else want to leave?" Boss Rex asked again, looking at the people behind him.

"Good, since no one wants to leave, from now on you are all under me, Rex Malum. I promise, as long as I have a bite to eat, you will have soup to drink," Boss Rex said, his tone slightly ominous, before turning his gaze back to Tom.

"Remember this, one day I will make you kneel before me and beg," Rex said threateningly before turning and walking into the woods.

Seeing Lucas and his men looking menacing, no one else dared show any intention of escaping and quickly followed them out.

Once Boss Rex and his group had completely disappeared into the woods, Evelyn and the others finally relaxed their tense nerves.

This had been a complete gamble for them, and fortunately, they had won. Boss Rex had indeed been scared off.

And it was all thanks to Tom.

If it had been just the women, they would likely have ended up as playthings for Boss Rex.

"Tom, you really are a master strategist,those guys were indeed scared off," Isabella said, looking at Tom with admiration.

"It's mainly because Rex is too afraid of dying. If he had dared to risk everything, who knows what would have happened," Tom said with a smile.

"Tom, what did you just say?" Mia, not having heard Tom's latter remark clearly, asked again.

"Oh, nothing," Tom quickly changed the subject, not daring to repeat his earlier comment. "By the way, how did you end up with that guy Rex?"

"We were just trying to survive. After all, we sisters have no experience in wilderness survival. If we hadn't followed Rex, we probably would have starved to death," Mia replied helplessly.

"That makes sense," Tom nodded.

These sisters didn't look like they came from a poor family,left in the wild, they would either be eaten by wild animals or starve to death.

"Tom, Rex is a ruthless man, and he will definitely seek revenge on us in the future. We need to be on our guard," Ava spoke up again, her expression turning serious.

"From your tone, you know Rex?" Tom raised an eyebrow.

"Yes, my dad and he had business dealings,they were old friends," Ava replied.

"Since he's friends with your dad, why did you come to join me?" Tom was a bit puzzled.

"Hmph, their kind of friendship was just based on mutual benefits, not real friendship at all. Besides, my dad died in this plane crash. If we had stayed with Rex, that old lecher would have defiled us sooner or later," Ava snorted.

According to Ava, Rex, nicknamed Scarface, was a notorious thug in Gotham, ruthless and wicked, having spent over a decade in prison for murder.

After getting out of jail, he smartened up a lot. To avoid legal repercussions, he transformed himself into a real estate business owner. On the surface, it seemed he was doing legitimate business, but he often engaged in shady dealings behind the scenes.

Moreover, Rex was very lecherous,the other three female survivors with him had already been violated by him.

Ava and her sister knew very well that Rex hadn't touched them yet only because he saw them as lambs ready for slaughter, available at his convenience. So, seeing Tom successfully stand up to Rex, they immediately sought refuge with him, otherwise, they would never have escaped Rex's clutches.
