Cruise Ship

In the summer of 2023, A few teens wanted to spend their last summer together by going on a cruise across the Atlantic Ocean, with all 5 of them pitching in they were all able to go. "MA, we have to go now if I'm gonna make it," said Toby, Toby was a rather chubby kid who wasn't very active. He mostly stayed in his room reading and studying for college. "Yes I understand but give me 5 more minutes and I will be ready to take you," said his mother, he knew that she wouldn't be ready in 5 minutes which is why he told her they had to leave two hours before their actual departure. *alright seems as though I have everything I need for this trip, it's a week-long and gonna be good for me to get out of my room* Toby thought to himself as he turned on the TV scrolling through the channels, he clicked on Netflix and started watching a random movie as he knew that he had a lot of time before he had to leave. * I wonder how the others are doing* he thought to himself.

Knocking was heard at the door, "SON, get up and start getting ready you have your trip today" Kymani's mom yelled outside his closed door. Kymani was tall and well defined as well as a linebacker in football, but also enjoyed watching anime and gaming. He continued to snore through his mom's yells, suddenly his phone went off with an alarm. "AH, WHAT THE HELL, I didn't set an alarm" he looked at his phone it was his friend Clayden calling him on his phone. "Hey man what's good." Barely holding his eyes open, "Hey bro, you all packed and ready?" Kymani looked at his opened suitcase across the room with all of his clothes strung out across his room, clearly in a state of not ready. "Yeah you just called as I finished packing", Kymani said trying to sound as if he'd been awake for multiple hours. "Yeah don't lie to me, I've known you for so long, get your ass out of bed and start packing you lazy bum"!Clayden then hung up the phone. *Wow that was harsh, might as well get 5 more minutes of sleep* he thought as he lay back in bed closing his eyes.

*Oh boy, I hope he gets up and ready*, Clayden thought to himself. Clayden was rather scrawny and unathletic but made up for it in his knowledge. He was easily the smartest of the group. He walked around his room searching for any last-minute items he thought he would need on the trip. He looked in the bottom drawer of his dresser and found a walkie-talkie that he used to play with. "Ha, when will I ever use this again?" He laughed to himself as he sat on his bed waiting for the time to pass.

On the Xbox slaving away on a game called Rust, Jonathan sat on his couch waiting for his alarm to sound so he could sleep. "Gosh when will this alarm sound", as he checked his phone realizing he pulled an all-nighter his heart sank. A single tear raced down his cheek as he realized, "I'm screwed"! He was at least ready for the trip as he packed the night before, bringing an assortment of random items from an airsoft gun to a fishing pole. Jonathan was an athlete but tended to act rather stupid around everyone in his group, but was much smarter than he acted. *I should get off this and get the small amount of sleep that I can* he thought, as he continued playing knowing his thoughts were unrealistic to what he was gonna do.

Waking up from his bed James knew what day it was and was so excited he went on a 6-kilometer run, for no reason whatsoever. James was skinny but fierce as he has done karate all his life and his stepdad is a black belt, he is also quite knowledgeable when it comes to things like logic and reasoning. He was finishing his run as sweat ran down his face, his lungs were breathing in such a controlled manner that he wasn't getting tired. He was listening to music, singing along with the song "enormous penis", a song all 5 boys liked, a little too much. *After this run I'm gonna take a shower then It'll be time to leave* he thought to himself feeling accomplished in his time management skills.

The time came for the departure and all 5 boys showed up around the same time, they got together for a group photo, hugged their parents, and boarded the ship. "Boys this trip's about to be crazy," Jonathan said in excitement, more demented than usual as he didn't get any sleep. "Well yeah, it's a cruise why wouldn't it be as you say, crazy" Clayden said, as a remark to his crackhead-like excitement. "Well, I hope it is fun because this was a lot of money we had to save. I don't even know how Jonathan got the money, he doesn't even have a job", Toby said in confusion. "What, 30 dollars is 30 dollars", Jonathan said with the straightest face. The other 4 boys looked at him with both confusion and disgust. "No, I already know what y'all are thinking and you're wrong, I just helped my neighborhood out a little. Seeing as how they're all old retired folk, I got a taste of them sweet retirement funds", he said as he chuckled at his statement. "Well, it seems like the boat is finally leaving," James said, as the boat started to move. The overhead speaker turned on to inform all passengers of the journey that they were about to go on and then the captain took over the speaker after the information was said. "Passengers I truly am happy that you decided to go on a cruise with us today and hope that this next week is one of the best weeks of your lives! With that being said, please enjoy the ride!"
