day 4: The Guild vs the undead Barrow part 2

Black-Tusk pov

as I started to get up I looked around everyone look like they were ready for another fight the Mages in the group we're drinking the Mana potions to restore their Mana quickly. as I stand at my full attention I immediately start to walk off into deeper into the cave followed by everyone who got back into formation as we walked quietly through the tunnel we heard a sound and when we did a notification pop up.

" emergency Quest eliminate the pair of unique enemies Rewards two pieces of Epic gear that will scale with the wearer and a unique skill book for those who placed in the top three of this Quest."

like it was even a question we accepted the quest as we started heading closer to the sound we saw two creatures one was a skeleton wearing black armor but had no helmet it was wielding a longsword and short sword clashing blades against what seems to be a ghoul wielding a great sword. I could tell from the numbers above their head both of them were level 25. which is 15 levels above this dungeon. luckily for us there is no penalty fighting higher level enemies but it didn't change the difficulty of fighting them since of course they have better stats than you.

I stay calm as I look at the rest of the party.

Tusk:" all right everyone freak you take on the skeleton wielding that sword I want Kyrie and Sora to back him up the rest of you are with me and we'll be taking on that ghoul."

those are two groups split up Kyrie started off by firing multiple uses of holy blast doing some serious damage to the ghoul which was enough to get his attention and bring him towards us will Riku and his group quickly engaged the skeleton I made this group division because I assume that the ghoul being a zombie type Undead would have more hit points than the skeleton meaning I would require more backup not to mention he probably does a lot of damage. as soon as my new ax clashed with the ghoul's weapon then I felt my arm go slightly numb. this typically only occurs when the enemy has perhaps twice as much strength that's i do. but I stayed calm as I saw Amy firing a particularly strong holy blast into the ghouls eyes which seem to destroy them and acting as a critical hit because now he was widely swinging in every possible Direction I simply decide to back off and let Amy deal with this one as I quickly ran over to Ricky's fight as I did I quickly used my charge skill to tackle into skeleton but now that I can get a look at its name it calls lesser Death Knight. I have a feeling like Artorias would want as to bring back its corpse but I don't want to and I'm sure no one else wanted to either I then received a notification.

" highborne ghoul has been defeated."

with that I knew that the rest of the team would hurry up and charge at the Lesser Death Knight I've installed volley of holy blasts hitting it and quickly draining its HP rapidly. I heard Amy Shout with a happy tune.

" hell yeah holy Mastery level 2 has been achieved."

Amy POV

after killing the highborne ghoul and pelting the Lesser Death Knight with a few holy blast I received a notification.

" You have gained holy mastery [level 2] your healing spells are 35% stronger you're damaging holy spells do 10% more damage. when facing Undead. your holy magic attack spells will do additional 35% more damage you have also gained a 10% resistance against demonic attacks. for level 3 you must do 10,000 more damage and/or healing."

I was so excited about this because now I'm a better healer. now that I think about it I started healing up the rest of the party. and I fired one final holy blast against the Lesser death knight and killed it I then noticed everyone received notifications

" congratulations you have completed the quest"

" the top three contributors of this Quest are Riku Black-Tusk and Elizabeth ( AKA Amy ) will receive one unique skill book"

as I look at the skill book I received.

" unique skill book holy energy conduit( passive )."

I mainly looked at it description mainly because I was curious.

" holy energy conduit: it is a passive that increases all holy spells potency by 50% increases holy based attacks by 25% increases healing by 50% when in the presence of a demonic entity you will be alerted to where they are and they will suffer a debuff decreasing their stats by 50%. if they are within 20 levels of your current level. when in the presence of Undead their stats will be reduced by 50%, any holy attack will do and increase 50% damage."

I immediately learn this because I didn't have many passive's and this was really good a lot of quests given by priests and things have them dealing with either Undead or demotic creatures.

Riku's POV

as I received the unique skill book I mainly look at its name and see it's called Master duelist and I could tell it was a passive. so I decided to read the description.

" Master duelist: those who possess this passive gains increase in 50% damage when wielding only one sword and nothing in your other hand when fighting gets an enemy and a one-on-one fight you will also gain an additional 50% increase in damage well also reducing incoming damage by 25% when facing a opponent in a one-on-one fight."

because I don't plan on using a shield I immediately learned this passive because there's nothing that could make it terrible. besides like being attacked by multiple enemies or having my teammates fight by my side.

Tusk POV

as I looked at the unique skill book I obtained I looked at its name and it was called ancestral Wrath and it was also a passive I read the description of it.

" ancestral Wrath: unlike many of your orcish kin who have only been able to tap into their own rage you have found a way to channel your ancestors wrath through you increasing the effect of orcas rage. increasing your speed by 75% increasing Damage Done by you by 50% reducing damage taken by you by 40% gives you temporary regeneration recovering 5% of your maximum HP over the course of your orcish rage."

this was effectively and upgrade to my racial ability of course I was going to learn it immediately I then looked at Riku and Amy as I noticed they equipped their new armor pieces Amy was wearing a long black and white gown with a veil over her head covering most of her face except for her mouth and jaw. but that wasn't what really caught my attention it was her new staff which seemed to have two Wings sprouting off the top of the Arcane Focus bed one black and the other white as I turn my attention over to Riku I saw he had a new chess piece on and new leggings as well both pieces seem to be engraved with some kind of tree with Ravens perched on the tree limbs it was quite a beautiful set of armor but that wasn't it they're also wear chainmail seemingly connecting both pieces of armor together with an under layer of protection.

after that I couldn't help but look at my two new items one of them was an ring and the other was an amulet which was quite strange I look at the description of the Ring first.

" ring of the chief( grade Epic ):+25 [Con] +15 [STR] +300 [HP]"

the system said that this ring and the necklace would scale with me as I grow stronger meaning these effects will always become stronger. I easily equipped it that this ring as I looked at the amulet.

" the ancestors heart( grade Epic ):+25[Dex] +15[STR] +350[HP]"

after I quipped it the amulet I smiled at my HP I now have a respectable 3,600 [HP]. which couldn't make me happier because Berserkers main two stats were [STR] and [HP]. as I start to look around everyone seemed ready for another fight as we all started moving through the dungeon again we soon came across a gigantic door as we approached it the door slowly opened revealing a bone Giant they were some of the weakest Undead you can come across and judging from its name tag it was the boss of the dungeon.

as I looked at everyone they all seemed ready I started off the fight by charging headfirst into it tackling the bone Giant then I saw an arrangement of Firebolt thunder shock and holy blast hitting it from afar with Riku Kyrie joining me into the fight and we need to start hacking its ankles relentlessly. but I notice every time a holy blast lands it takes out about 5% each time and from the rapid rate of how Amy was spamming it it would only take his about 30 to 50 seconds to kill it since every second she had shot out three holy blasts. and after my estimated time being a little bit longer than I expected being a full minute the bone giant was back to being dead it didn't drop anything but it did drop a decent chunk of XP. as we made our way back to the exit of the dungeon I decided to send Artorias a message.

Tusk": hey boss man we just finished our first run of the undead Barrow."

Artorias:" great job I'm still exploring the mountain range nearby I should be back in town by tomorrow at the very least."

I simply send a message back to him.

Tusk:" all right boss man."
