Overlord (1671 words)

Dying and being reincarnated into a futuristic version of her old world where cooperation's took over the world was definitely not something that Jinny, or Jin like she liked to be called, though possible in her first life.

But like always, life didn't really care for her opinion and so she started her new life and was abused by the cooperation's like millions of other people.

This went on for twenty-four years when the entertainment industry made breakthrough and released a game which greatly shocked and excited Jin.

YGGDRASIL, a DMMO-RPG at the top of its field and something all too familiar to Jin.

It was that day that Jin realized that she had in fact reincarnated into the original world of Satashi Hino, or better known as Momonga the overlord form the Overlord anime and novel.

The dull life she had lived since her reincarnation suddenly looked so much brighter.

With no hesitation Jin bought the game and console before rearranging her plans for her future and invest as much time as she could into the game before its ultimate end which would mark a new beginning for all those who remain until the bitter end.

Jin of course decides to go with a heteromorphic race as she already planned to join the yet to be founded guild of Ainz Ooal Gown.

As for her classes, she would experiment while playing in order to find something suitable for herself.

Like that she began her adventure into the fantastic world of YGGDRASIL as female insectoid.

Years once again start to fly by, but this time they were much more colorful and full of amazing experiences.

With Jin having altered her plans for the future in such a way that she would only be able to sustain herself for about a year after the end of the game she had much more play time than most people who had to balance their in-game time and reality.

Because of that she became quite skilled in the game and even participated multiple times in tournaments making her quite famous, especially because of her unique class build.

Having a strange fascination for insects Jin tried out the entomancer class and fell in love with it.

Over the years she tried hundreds of different combinations with this class until she settled onto something fitting of being a member of the monstrous guild of Ainz Ooal Gown.

Now, at the end of the game's life, she and the only other member left of this once great and powerful guild Momonga, sat in the conference room of their guild base, the great Tomb of Nazarik.

Looking at her own reflection in the mirror smooth surface of the round marble table Jin, or Kalisha as her in-game character was called, let her gaze wander over her delicate face benefiting a noble lady.

Her nose was the perfect combination between beautiful and cute while the two golden-blond, perfectly swung eyebrows hanging over her half-closed eyelids brighten her face up and give her an angelic feeling.

And then there were her eyes, the complete opposite of her bright and heavenly face.

Cold, unfeeling and terrifying black compound eyes gaze out from underneath her half-closed eyelids, mostly hidden by the long eyelashes, but they still change her entire look into something rather unsettling.

On her head rests a white hat with golden accents and with wide brim, colorful flowers rest are elegantly arranged on top of it and from underneath it wavey golden-blond hair falls openly onto her lower back.

A white and golden Victorian style dress covers her body from top to bottom and elegantly hugs her four-armed figure while at the same time hiding the currently closed mouth that spans over entire stomach and the golden- white chitin covered legs and clawed feet.

*Bang!*

The silence in the room got suddenly broken by the sound of something hitting the table hard and the sound halls through the almost empty conference hall causing Kalisha to look up from her self-inspection and focus her faceted eyes at the only other person in the room, or possibly even in the game.

The 1,77m tall elder lich skeleton clothed in gorgeous purple black robes with golden edge around the sleeves looked depressed and angry.

While the game didn't have any facial animations for the Heteromorphic races it was easy to see for someone who had spent multiple years together with the tall skeleton.

In her heart Kalisha also laments the fact that so many people she grew to care about have left and it was even worse as she knew it would probably be forever.

She had tried to convince them to arrange some time for the end of the game in order to say goodbye to each other but sadly reality had once again other plans and made it impossible.

Like that everything came to the same, or at least similar conclusion as in the original story with only the sad and lonely guild master remaining until the bitter end, and well, Kalisha.

"All things have to come to an end. You should already know that Momo." She says in a quite but calm voice before leaning back into her seat and gazing at the roof of the giant hall.

Turning his gaze away form his fist that he had slammed onto the marble table Momonga looks at the only other member of his guild that had decided to remain until the bitter end.

"*sigh*Your right, sadly this doesn't make this any lighter to accept." Both stay silent for a while, each having sunken into their own thoughts.

The sound a chair moving once again brought Kalisha's gaze to Momonga who now stood in front of the floating staff made of seven entwining snakes of gold, each holding a different colored gem in their mouth.

Reaching out with his skeletal hand the supreme grade weapon silently floats over into Momonga's waiting grasp.

If her face could show emotions a small nostalgic smile would have been present on Kalisha's face right now.

"So many restless nights, so many hours of hard work, all for a single item we have never really used." Her words rang clear in the hall and caused Momonga who had been silently staring at the staff to release a quite chuckle loaded with emotions.

"Indeed, but it also is a reminder of all that what we have achieved, so it isn't that bad." This time it was Kalisha's turn to chuckle.

Rising form her seat with one pair of arms crossed while the other two loosely hang down her sides Kalisha makes her way over to Momonga.

"Let's make one last tour through Nazarik and end it in the throne room while looking epic. I want to make a screenshot to hang up in my room after the game shut down." Nodding at her suggestion Momonga takes the lead out of the conference hall followed by Kalisha.

Outside the conference hall they are both met by the butler of their guild, Sebas Tian, and the seven Pleiades whose mission is to protect the throne room.

Sadly no one has ever made it this far, so they have yet to prove themselves.

Momonga ordered the NPCs to follow them for the tour while he and Kalisha reminisce about the past of their guild utile finally, they arrive in front of the grand double winged door leading into the throne hall.

Somewhere on the way Kalisha had picked up her own NPC and took her along for the picture.

Her NPC is a female dryad with green skin and a dress made from plants, a crown, or horns made from brown bark covers her forehead while dark green hair falls freely onto her back.

Sylvia's whole class and racial build is solely made to be a perfect addition to Kalisha.

With Kalisha being an absurd combination of arcane, druid and tank classes that focus on summoning, long to mid-range magic assault and being close to impossible to kill in close quarter thanks to her racial classes that give her tons of health and defense combined with her monster transformation that boosts her close quarter damage, her NPCs focus lies in large scale buffing and support which works extremely well with the army sized swarms of insects Kalisha could summon and her magic bombardment.

Walking into the giant hall with pillars on each side and flags belonging to each of the 42 members of the guild including Kalisha, the two last remaining players in the game take up their respective positions.

Momonga sat down on the throne while Kalisha took her position on the left side, gracefully leaning against the throne.

The Pleiades and Sebas have been set to stand by and stood now at the side of the right side of the hall.

While Momonga was busy playing around with the bio of Albedo who stood on his right, Kalisha starts to order the NPCs around to place them in fitting positions.

"You finished with making other people's children your waifu's?" Kalisha asks Momonga who acted very embarrassed with a teasing tone.

"Come on, you can't tell me that Tabula hadn't thought of something like this happening when he designed her." At his respond Kalisha could only chuckle as it was true.

With everyone in position and on their knees, paying respect to the two players Kalisha made the picture and promised Momonga to send it to him tomorrow after she edited it a bit to make it even better.

Like that they remained silent for the reminder of the time till the server shut down, once again lost in their own thoughts.

The seconds tick down and midnight came.

And the clock went on.

Kalisha's light pink and full lips start to stretch wide as a grin reaching almost her ears split her face.

'It is finally time.' She would like to laugh but restrained herself and instead turned to face Momonga who sat in shock on his throne.
