New Class

Ulric walked the streets of the Mystic School District looking around at the various schools, the Elements school taught mastery of the elements, students in the courtyard were flinging fire and ice at targets, while others were covering areas of the floor with wriggling vines, and others conjured clouds which crackled with lightning, this looked like sooooooo much fun that he had to pull himself away from it, he had to be practical.

The next school he passed was even more enticing, the summoning school, students were riding wolves made of frost and ice, horses made of sea-foam and water, birds made of clouds and thunder, many more summoned elemental beasts to attack target dummies, or each other in a type of duel, it looked awesome.

As he passed the next he couldn't help but say,"oh come on!"the students were flying, changing shape, turning invisible, and many other strange and wonderful things, he remembered that even though you picked a class, you could learn many skills, for example an elemental type magic user could summon a creature, but it would work like an aura providing protection, strength, and speed, a summoner could use elements to summon a flame wolf, or an ice wolf, ect. Martial artists were able to combine moves from different classes, although this was less effective.

Finally he reached the School of Mystic Healing, it was less showy then the other schools but arguably more important, as he entered it was as he expected, it smelled and felt like a hospital, it was very clean and tidy, the walls were white with gold trim, and there were experienced healers walking around giving pointers to new healers, after approaching one and inquiring he was guided to a room with a large crystal in it, the attendant in the room asked him to place his hand on the crystal, he explained since he seemed to be a non magic user the crystal would show if he could use magic, it was essentially a bit of lore as to why some people couldn't use magic but since he was a player he knew he would be able to, he asked what would happen if he could use magic and the attendant explained the more powerful the magic he could use the more the crystal would react, and not to worry there was no danger, in the event of an overload there was protection cast on the room any living occupant could not be harmed, so ulric reached for the crystal.

After ten minutes he finally had his healing class, an Aura healing mage, his healing magic was passive but he would need to check it later, they apologized that this was the only class they could give him at the moment as his magic control was weak, he told them it was no problem as they walked him out, passing the corridor where the crystal had been located, and Ulric said sorry again about the crystal as he saw the door broken and hanging off it's one remaining hinge, the wall opposite the door blackened and scorched, the room inside was just full of broken and burned furniture, they again assured him it was no problem, and when he learned control to come back and they could teach him more.

After leaving the school embarrassed he finally had the time to check his new skill, Health aura: infuse any food you make with healing properties, different foods will have different effects.

It did seem a bit underwhelming, he had hoped for some standard healing magic like cure, but given the massive amount of magical power and minuscule amount of control he had, at least he got something, he headed to a local store and bought 2 oranges, and then turned them into orange juice with his cooking skill, when he finished he took a look at the result, Orange Juice, standard quality Tasty heals 10hp Ok that was new, food was normally only for taste it had no real function, but now this OJ had become a cheap healing potion, although 10 hp was useless, his proper food should be better, he drank the OJ, first thing was to do some hunting as he had no food or ingredients at the moment, before he left the city though he bought himself the teleport crystal for the city while he was there, he then looked for the city exit.
