Steins;Gate— The Singularity

Ruka Urushibara, that's my name. Today is New Years Eve but I never expected this day to be more extraordinary than usual. I remembered the memories of my past life and how this world is from an anime. "Why do I have to be a trap though?"

"Tadaima~ I'm home." I said as I entered the house with no one replying to me. Not that I expected anything to begin with.

For those who are wondering why I'm living alone. It goes back to when I first earned the money from my streams and the novels I wrote. At that time, I asked my parents to let me live alone.

At first they were quite shocked as to how sudden my words were and were reluctant to agree to it. I managed to convince them though by saying that I only want to experience independence.

When they weren't planning to agree no matter what I said, I pulled an uno reversal on them and talked about my sister. Heh, that did the trick.

I bought this place including the land contract. My parents tried to pay for it but I said to them that I had my own money. They asked where I got it and I said a bit of truth, from writing my novels.

Anyways, let's stop talking about this tardy topic and take you to a tour in my house.

"Wait... who the fuck am I talking to in my head?"

I shook my head as I just chalked it up to me going bonkers from being lonely. Haisss, this baby is the first day since last month that I went out of the house so it would be understandable.

I just sighed as I went to my room. I locked the door and also tightly sealed the windows. I wouldn't want anyone snooping around now do we.

Walking to the closet, I then opened it and was greeted by my clothes that were hanging. With fluid motions, I pulled down the steel pole where my clothes hanged on. This made some mechanical sound echo out as the fake back of the closet to reveal a staircase leading down to my secret base.

Of course I wasn't just having fun and making money. I also made this secret base of mine to have a private place to do my experiments far from any peering eyes. Better safe than sorry.

Arriving at the end of the passage, in front of me stood a white metallic door. Entering the passcode, the door opened and revealed a luxurious room.

The room was simple as it only had a few couches surrounding a table and a large flat screen TV on the wall. There were also bookshelves filled with books and some sculpture that acted as decorations for the simple luxurious room.

I made my way to the couch and laid on it as I stretched my arms lazily. Taking the remote, I opened the tv and saw a news... about me?

[[ The new up and rising singer/song writer and the founder of the Vtubers concept's absence for a month made some of her fans worldwide take extreme measures to make her go back to streaming. Let's see the situation there, Ayaka. ]]

[[ As you can see, Fushiguro-san, these people are currently protesting and roaming the city chanting the same sentence: "Bring back Origin-chan!". They have marched from Tokyo to Akihabara, showing how determined they are... ]]

I turned off the tv and massaged temples as I had an headache from hearing the news. I thought they were joking about that, those idiots! They really did do a protest just to see me.

"Sigh... Out of sight, out of mind. Don't think about it. You'll only suffer." I changed these words in my mind as I tried to forget that thing ever happened.

It was at this time that I remembered that I haven't launched Project:VALKYRIE yet. I was so preoccupied with the thought about time travel shits that I neglected my projects for two days now.

"Alpha?" I called to no one in particular. But not long enough, a robotic female voice answered my call.

[( What is it, sir? )]

"Check Project:VALKYRIE for any errors in the code or anomalies." I said as I stood up from the couch and made my way to a particular wall between two eye sculptures. It then opened and there it was, my lab.

Walking into the control room, I checked the parameters and the code of Project:VALKYRIE along with Alpha.

"Oh right! What time is it now, Alpha?" I asked Alpha while I checked for any errors in the code.

[( It is currently 12:55 noon. Why sir? )]

"Oh fuck! Abort the checking and prepare Project:Eternity! Qui—!"

"Kghk—!" I suddenly felt trippy and nauseous all of a sudden. Like I'm fuc*ing drunk. But this feeling did not last though and I regained my balance soon.

"What the hell was that?" I shook my head and looked around the lab. Seeing nothing, I continued to instruct Alpha, "Alpha, prepare the Project:Eternity immediately!"

[( But, sir...)]

"What is it?" I asked as I took a lab coat and wore it.

[( Who's Alpha? )]

My eyes widened in disbelief at her words. Artificial intelligence would never forget. Unless someone tampered on her mainframe but that's impossible!

"T-Then! Who are you? What's your name?" I would like to confirm one thing. If I am right in my assumption then this would be reasonable explanation.

[( What do you mean, sir? I'm Beta, your personal maid. )]

"Holy fuck, yes! This is the best situation. Beta, go summarize what I did in the lab since you were made till now! Also, prepare a dark choco latte for me, I'll be in the lounge." I then made my way to the lounge from earlier.

This is the best possible scenario. I am fortunate that I have Reading Steiner like Okabe, if not I would just be blindly walking.

Now, the best scenario I talked about is the circumstance that in every world line 'I' regained my past life's memories. This would make it so all my research would not be worthless and my lab would still be there one way or another. This makes a world difference.

I would also be capable of watching the change as Okabe did in the anime. This would make my job of finding the ideal timeline easier. Though it was not necessary to change the original route, there is bound to be some change from the original anime to our current situation because of me. I'm an anomaly.

"Heh, not that I dislike being one." Sitting in the couch on the lounge, I listened to Beta's report while sipping on my choco latte.
