Narukami (II)
Cough! Cough!
Hindra could be seen knelt down in the middle of the flames.
It wasn't like she wasn't alive, but she was so burned that no other pain could be felt, all she knew was she had somehow managed to survive.
She raised her eyes to meet Zakiel,
"W-What… kind of power is that?" She managed to let out.
"Uhm? What are you talking about? It's power, what else?" Zakiel replied, she didn't seem to care a bit about what the goddess was feeling.
"I… see.." Hindra looked to the ground, her body scorched and peeling, "Is this… where I die?".
"Not necessarily."
Hindra turned her gaze towards Raphael.
"We were never told to kill you, so instead…" Rapheal giggled, skipping like a little girl towards Hindra and once she was close, she bent down, a smile hitched on her face.
"You… still have a lot to tell us… sweetie, just you wait".
….
While Raphael and Zakiel were taking care of the fallen goddess Hindra, Quilla and Jeane had their hands full against the demigod, Narukami.
Jeane leaped back, using her lightning sword to deflect the arms of the monster, but the moment they made contact, her sword turned dull and shattered.
Gliding on the ground, she pulled out another sword from her palm.
"Careful Quilla, if it touches you, it's over." Jeane warned before charging back into action.
"Yeah yeah."
Replied Quilla, falling from the sky just right on top of the Narukami.
In her hands, a huge gun, with a wide opening for mana gathering.
Booooom!
Like a bazooka, Quilla fired at the monster, the mana surged forward and upon impact, everywhere got enveloped in flames.
Landing beside Jeane, Quilla sighed as her bomb blaster turned into two pistols with the flash of a light.
"So? You think that got it?" Jeane asked.
"I definitely felt the impact, my attack touched it well.."
"Then we are done here, we'll just wait for…."
Jeane swallowed her words the instant the monster's arms shot out of the fire, wrapping around her fist and Quilla's foot.
Both their faces were instantly hitched with fear.
"Damnit!" Jeane pulled out her sword again, slashing the arm of the monster but it just kept shattering upon impact.
She could feel the monster draining her body while it pulled her closer, and it was only a matter of time before it got to her magic circuits and damaged everything.
Quilla instantly acted while her body was being dragged on the ground.
She threw her pistols away and like static, a new weapon formed in her hands, a sniper to be exact.
Quilla wasted no time, she moved the scope to her eye view and was aiming it at the forehead of the monster.
Baaaaam!
She fired her shot.
The bullet charged out of the barrel and straight for the head of the monster, this caused it to push back, throwing both Quilla and Jeane away.
Jeane landed on her feet and so did Quilla, but most of their mana was gone, even they could tell.
"H…ow did you know to shoot it's forehead?" Jeane asked.
"Why do you guys keep forgetting my technique? I can see through weaknesses, … Geez, this is such a pain, it just happens to be on its forehead….." Quilla replied.
"Is that so… that's good then, so we know to attack its forehead…" Jeane managed to squeeze out another lightning sword, but it didn't glow as much.
Both Jeanne and Quilla watched as the monster gave out painful cries, slamming its back to the ground and wall furiously.
But now that they know where to hit, Jeane and Quilla didn't plan to waste anymore time exterminating it.
Then, it happened.
The monster spotted Ava fighting one on one with O'niel just at the other side of the building.
Its eyes widened, like it had found a new prey.
Boom!
It charged forward, leaving the girls confused as they watched it run away.
They chased it, and it didn't take them long to understand what the monster wanted to do.
"O'neill!!!! Get her out of there!!!" Jeane yelled with everything she had.
O'niel immediately looked back, only to see the monster right behind him.
Less than a second was all it took for the monster to slap O'Neil away, sending him flying a few distance.
Ava froze in shock when she saw the monster, towering in front of her.

The monster spoke, grabbing Ava by the arm and instantly swallowing her in its mouth.
Magic surged.
Lighting sparked.
And all Jeane and Quilla could do was watch, the intense amount of mana flowing from the monster's body even drew the attention of Raphael and Zakiel.
The people outside the building, some of which were members of the Higurashi group and members of the Black haven.
Both of which were fighting, while the imperial soldiers tried to intervene, faced the sight of the enormous mana leaving the building in front of them.
After a while.
The transformation was complete.
Standing in front of the black haven was Ava, but she wasn't the same.
The arms of Narukami stuck out of her back and ribs, her eyes were only red and her body was beaming with magic.
"A..ether."
Jeane's eyes widened when she heard the monster call her master's name,
"Dammit, quick, we have to…."
Wooooooosh!
The Narukami was standing right in front of her, and it didn't hesitate to send a blow to Jeane's stomach.
The others who were also shocked at its amazing speed tried to act but instead, they were sent flying.
With that done, the monsters charged outside, like a speeding rocket, it cleared everything in its path.
Most of which were the imperial soldiers, their bodies crushed, mushed and some servered on the ground with blood spraying everywhere.
And while the monster speed through the city, it uttered only one word,
"Aether… Aether."
Like it was in tears.
People in the city had slowly started evacuating, and the news of a gang war happening had begun to spread.
The soldiers were doing their best to clear the area of every civilian, making sure as many people were not affected by the conflict that was happening.
And the people knew better than to question it.
