The force has been tainted, corrupted, and perverted over the Millenium. Now, a man known only as The Emporer has decided to enter this universe and continue his 'Vacation' [Non-regular updates]
Wolfe and Maul stood in the cockpit of the Scimitar and looked at the planet known as Ossus. Ossus, while being the homeworld of the Je'daii was not their main headquarters, but instead, a religious and cultural area. Many old Je'daii masters in their later years would stay on this world and create holocrons and scriptures to put into the great library. Like Tython, which had its twin moons Ashla(Light) and Bogan(Dark), Ossus had the moons Lii(Light) and Daru(Dark). These force nexuses helped the Je'daii maintain balance in the force, Wolfe hopped, it would aid Maul in his journey to balance.
"This world doesn't look like it could sustain even a droid, Master. Are you certain this will be a good spot to create our order?" Maul asked while sensing the turbulent aura of the planet, flipping between Light and Dark like a pendulum while constant thunderstorms raged. Wolfe just chuckled and went to explain his reasons, "You, see my apprentice, the devastation you see was caused by an imbalance in the force. When one is too far to the Light or too far to the Dark, it upsets nature. And when tens of thousands of Je'daii broke into the nascent Jedi and Sith, it caused such an imbalance in the force it turned this world to an apocalyptic waste and the millions of civilians and some force users into mutated force-sensitive monsters. While the apocalypse raged, the two new factions fought each other turning this planet into not only a figurative graveyard, but a literal one." Maul looked to his master, hoping for him to continue.
"There is actually an extremely easy way to restore this planet, however. The planet itself can be restored using the force, the imbalance can be fixed by people like us, coming into balance and being on the planet. The second part will be the hardest, though even the first will take 1000's of years to fix the entire planet. But, as our code states, We will never surrender." Maul nodded to his master's wisdom. When Maul had started traveling with his master, he was skeptical that he would ever make any progress in shunning the Dark side. But his master was like a pillar of support, even when angered he showed that you didn't have to use the Dark side when at peace you didn't have to use the Light. He showed Maul that you could be both a person and a force user. He truly respected the man, lightyears more than Sidious. Maul didn't even notice that despite his anger at Sidious, his force presence barely fluctuated.
"Gemini, bring us down next to that group of ruins," Wolfe instructed the astromech he had created for the Scimitar. "Affirmative, meatbag overlord." The droid responded in Binary, he loved these droids. Putting on his helmet and tapping the side, soon his visor was showing thermal, but it was full of static, tapping again, UV was also static, same with NV and even the visible sound display was glitching. Giving a grunt he switched to normal and pressed his helmets transponder and relayed orders to the Sky troopers, "Attention troopers, I want 50 of you to stay and guard the landing site, make a ring with the dropships and deploy the turrets and mortars, we don't know exactly what all is here but most are hostile." He heard a crackled "Af--.irma-ve" From the droids and gave a tsk as he realized his over-reliance on tech was already starting to punish him. "Maul, make sure the seal on your armor is tight and your oxygen supply is full, we don't know if the air is breathable after these thousands of years. The lifeforms here could have evolved to breathe the new air mixture." Wolfe reminded as he slipped a bigger oxygen tank on to leave his built-in as a backup and turn to check over Maul.
Maul had wanted to invest his safety in a set of armor ever since Wolfe slashed his arm off, so using the onboard archives of the Allfathers Honor, made himself a set of armor that looked similar to the ancient Sith Darth Malgus's armor but colored to match his new skin, brown with black accents. His armor itself was made of Beskar plates, Duraplast joints, and sythnweave cloth, incase a slugthrower was used again. Wolfe had tried to make him design himself a helmet but Maul refused on the grounds his skin was thick enough already. Wolfe just responded that his skull was thick enough.
Once all their affairs were in order they walked down the ramp of the Scimitar, seeing the Sky troopers had made a 'Wagon Circle' with the dropships and had set up the turrets in the gaps, while a few mortars using primitive explosive 80mm shells was in the very center. Wolfe saw the 150 troopers meant to join his and Maul's expedition to what he believed to be the ancient Je'daii library. Getting closer to the droids he sensed something in the force and saw another wave of dropships of around 100 on the way down, strange, he didn't call these in. After landing he was able to see they were transporting 52 speeders and 10 Recon walkers, asking the commander droid which of his apprentices had ordered them down, hearing it was Shmi and not Anakin surprised him but knowing she most likely didn't want them to have to walk everywhere, he made sure to remember to thank her later.
With everyone saddled up on the speeders they took off in the direction that Alpha said there was large square hollowed out of a mountain. Going only 45 km/h as to let the recon walkers take point and use their sensors, which thankfully, weren't glitching. It was only half an hour before they reached the area that they believed was the library. Wolfe glanced over the area near them, there were remains of droids and even long crashed spacecraft, he could see an old republic hammerhead and what looked like a sith empire starfighter. Deciding to have the construction droids come and take the intact ships for data recovery and the destroyed ones to feed the foundry he dismounted the speeder and he and Maul entered through a half-collapsed opening in the side of the mountain, as the droids made a defensive perimeter.
The interior of the cavern was uniform in dimensions minus the small cave-ins. Wolfe could see there were collapsed statues of most likely famous Je'daii. Entering into a small room using his blue lightsaber for light, he looked at the assortment of ancient books and stone tablets along with some Je'daii holocrons and artifacts. While most of these items seemed to be unusable, he believed Alpha could repair them, he was about to leave the room when he sensed a strange force signature that almost felt...green, full of life and also weak and on death's door. Following the force signature to a bookshelf, he grabbed a book to move it out of the way of whatever it was blocking, but it fell apart like dust in his hand, shrugging, he looked to see what had caught his attention.
"A...branch?" Maul questioned as he saw his master reach out to grab the hidden twig. As soon as his master grabbed the twig, he crumbled like a puppet with its strings cut. "Master!" Maul screamed as he rushed to his master's side feeling an emotion he hadn't felt in a long while.
