-Inside the plot powered spaceship-
Qui-Gon Jinn had just woke up as the twin suns crested the horizon, it was now the second day on Tatooine and the motley crew was wondering where the strange Jedi/Gray Jedi was. Every second they spent on this dustball meant Nabooian peasants being either enslaved or killed. Jinn, deciding to try and check on the man's progress, began to head out after informing Panaka and his Padawan, however, a certain handmaiden made sure to follow him towards the city. Meanwhile, a certain rabid dog had caught a 'scent' through a spy drone, and inside Mos Espa, a certain god was dealing with an overexcited child.
"Jedi!? I'm gonna be a Jedi?! AND we're going to be freed!? Thank you so much, Mister Wolfe!" A very excited nine-year-old Anakin said towards his savior, a still sleepy, Wolfe. He still found it in him to give a slight smile however, he had many children across many different realities, and while he loved them all and most of their mothers, none could compare to his true heirs with his Empress. Giving an emotion-filled glance to the pale imitation the droid spits of her, he considered just getting rid of it, just made him miss her more. Coming back around to his current situation he crouched down to eye level with the Chosen One and corrected,
"No, not a Jedi per se, but a Úlfhednar, or a Wolf Warrior, in Basic. I am the master of this order of force sensitives and teach an ideology that may be considered heretical by a certain monastery." Anakin seemed to be trying to pronounce the word with origins in ancient Norse on Earth. Wolfe had picked up the name while drinking with Odin in Asgard. They consisted of ferocious men and women fighting for honor and recognition on the battlefield, as well as an ideal of bravery and companionship.
Anakin, after giving up figuring it out, asked, "So what is the difference between us and normal Jedi?" Wolfe had given this aspect a lot of thought when he decided to come here, so he started off,
"Well, for one, normal Jedi practice either bottling up or releasing emotions into the force and due to this, forego any attachments, like your love for your mother. I, personally encourage it. It is in the nature of life that you will be sad, happy, angry, and everything else. But, it is learning how to live with not only these emotions but the consequences they cause you to make. If you cannot even master your own mind, then you never deserved to be trained in the first place." I could see he enjoyed my version better, so I continued.
"On top of that, no man or woman trained is wasted. The Jedi recruit everyone force-sensitive, well most everyone. But that causes them to have a lot of wasted talent, only so many of those children are taken as students, the rest get put into different corps, like AgriCorps. In the Úlfhednar, there are three specifications. Shield, Spear, and Hammer." Seeing he was following I kept going,
"The Shield and Spear classes work together in missions, the Shield's are members who are less offensive and prefer to protect while the Spear are skilled in offence. The Shield and Spear are grouped together and have one Fledgling each, basically a padawan. However, both have training in both types of combat. Fledglings who do not crave combat per se, are made into Hammers, who are in charge of training the Fledglings who are still too young to see combat, 12 and under. We also will take some non-force users in." Anakin gave a toothy grin as he imagined what it would be like to be a member of this group.
"So Anakin, since you are going to be trained in this group, you need to memorize the creed, a short and sweet way to broadcast our ideals, okay?" He quickly nodded and Wolfe began reciting it.
I am a shield, to protect the weak
I am a spear, to defeat our enemies
I am a hammer, to temper my will
I will fight, with my brothers
I will never surrender, for death is an honor
I will be immortal, in death
I will wait in Vallhalla, to fight again
Anakin could be seen quietly reciting the code and Shmi took this chance to ask a question.
"In your creed, it says immortal in death and a place called Vallhalla, what's up with that?" Giving a nod I tried describing it in a way a non-force user would understand.
"Okay, so when you are strong in the force when you die there is a chance for you to keep your consciousness around until you decide to fade yourself. Vallhalla is another word describing that state, as even dead you can still influence the world, such as talking with living Wolves or even combining with other Einherjar, our word for force ghosts, to create effects such as stopping or even reversing time, for example." Shmi seemed really interested in this subject, it made him consider making her force-sensitive, that would have to wait, however, as the droids from his ship just arrived, and he had felt Maul on the move for a few hours.
[Chapter Title] {Wild Wolves}
I mean come on, in this universe if you;
1. believe in the force, (religion)
2. become a force ghost (Einherjar in Vallhalla)
3. Can fight after being dead, as seen in sequels, and many fanfics that I mainly prefer over (PoWeR oF FrIeNShIp)
4. Can be returned to life if you can repair their body and use the force to link the force ghost to the body.
It got a lot of similarities to Norse stuff, plus space Vikings and Lazer raptors.
