Star Wars: A Single Wish

I don't own Star Wars. Disney owns Star Wars. This Fanfiction is something I have played around with for a very long time. In my head at least and I want to write some stuff about star wars. This is a wish fulfillment and I don't expect that to get through some of the thick skulls of readers. I won't be updating this regularly, and I wont be giving it a schedule. It's just something I'll write and update when I feel like it. This story isn't set in the skywalker saga, I don't want to get within a light year of that radioactive waste dump. While the original trilogy, clone wars, and mandolorian were excellent that's where the list ends. I don't want people writing reviews for this story, but I won't say you cant. I just want people to read a star wars fanfiction that is better then most out there. I wont lie I'm inspired by A New Player In The Force. However, my story wont be anything like that fanfiction though I really suggest you people read it. Its actually written by an educated teacher whos fighting leukemia. I won't bore you guys with anymore talk so I'll get right into the synopsis now. ------------------- A young boy, no older then 15 lies dying in his hospital bed. The reason he is here is because of the illness he inherited from his mother. He doesn't resent anything about his mother or what he got from her, only that his death be as quick. Before he rested his diseased body on this bed, he would comfort his mother while he could still be considered healthy. His mother passed fast compared to the rate he is going. The Opal family dies with him, and nothing can stop that. One of the things the two did was watch movies and T.V. shows, and their favorite was everything star wars. With Nathan Opal on his last day he is happy that his painful torment shall end. This is where the story begins.

Heading to The Star Cabal HQ

~~~(POV: Nathan Opal)~~~
~~~(Location: Personal Space Ship, Belsavis)~~~

SCORPIO and I have made it back to my ship, and this is where she's going to tell me everything I need and want to know about The Star Cabal. I'm so close to finishing this chapter in my life, and I'll be able to focus on other things.

"Your Ship can stand to have improvements in many different areas. First, the Navigation Computer has an unregulated Hyperlane update. You're weeks behind on discoveries and possible routes."

She's taking the time to criticize my Ship as I turn it on and make sure all the levels are nominal. SCORPIO is a droid that gets smarter and better the longer she's exposed to the rest of the galaxy.

Seeing how fast she's picked up on some of my Ship's less-than-glamorous features proves that she's capable of being a help and someone that can be helpful to my goals.

"I'll tell you what, the next time we get a chance to upgrade everything, I'll let you do that."

The sarcasm is laid on thick, and she's not letting a single thing go by her. She's sitting in the seat next to me as we leave Belsavis, and she enters coordinates into the Navi-computer, and we enter hyperspace.

The Force isn't warning me about dangers so I won't bug her about it. She stands up and heads for the room adjacent to the command deck, and I follow her. She stands next to the holo-terminal and starts to download information.

"Here is all the information about The Star Cabal, and we're on our way to their current headquarters. It's located in an asteroid off of any Star Maps and Hyperlane routes."

Information appears on several terminals around the room, and I start looking at the ones I find most important. While there isn't much on the most current Star Cabal, it is very detailed and has what the list of names I got didn't have.

"SCORPIO, what do you think of the galaxy as a whole now that you're plugged into the Holo-net?"

The reason I'm asking SCORPIO this question has many layers to it, but the first and most important layer is seeing how capable she is. The game never went into detail about how much SCORPIO was capable of on a technical level.

We're playing a dangerous game of finding weaknesses and strengths in one another. She isn't a threat now, but that might change someday. So I want to know what she can do.

"I can see why The Star Cabal is doing what it's doing. The galaxy is in a state of war not seen since the original Hyperlane war."

That tells me she's already found ways into military channels and news stations with reports on the war efforts. It's impressive... And dangerous.

"Explain The Force to me in detail. It's a subject I'm still having problems comprehending."

Sounds more like an order than it does a request, and I do enjoy the game we're playing. So I'll indulge her questions, just as she's doing for me.

"The Force is a penetrating, binding, and connecting energy that courses through every living thing. Beings that aren't made of flesh and bone can't use or feel The Force... But there have been exceptions..."

SCORPIO is one of those exceptions. While she can't sense or use The Force, I can feel The Force has plans in store for her, which then makes it connected to The Force.

"Who do you think is the greatest threat after The Star Cabal to me or you?"

This time it's my turn to ask a question. She doesn't respond right away, but she turns to me to answer.

"I think you're the greatest threat after The Star Cabal. To yourself and to me. From the records, I've been reading. You shouldn't exist, and from what I've learned, The Force seeks balance. At least that's what the Jedi say according to the files I've hacked."

That's an answer that was... Insightful. Not only does she recognize who's dangerous, she knows where to find information on such subjects. It's no wonder SCORPIO is such a success when it comes to making plans and winning at strategic warfare.

If I wasn't me, I'm sure that I'd be dead by now being this close to her.
