"How many casualties do we have?" Cain asked.

"13, and their bodies will be given to their families after we have cleaned up the mess," Kael said as he clenched his fists tightly and grinned when he thought about the scene that he had just witnessed with his own eyes.

Cain nodded when he heard about it, as his personal guards were only 26, including Kael, and now half of them were killed by this bastard.

Cain's personal guards were indeed only a little, as his mother was a mere concubine, and she only hired someone she could trust, which was why Cain only had 26 people as his personal guards, compared to other princes or princesses who had at least hundreds of guards.

"How about the compensation?" Cain then continued asking Kael.

"After this, I'm going to ask Elara about it. Do you have any orders related to it?" 

Kael asked with a little bit of a worried expression as he thought that 'Cain' had almost become a completely different person than he had known, and he might not even care about his dead guards.

"Uhum… Tell her to quadruple the compensation money and tell their families that I apologize for their loss," Cain said lightly before continuing again,

"Ohhh… Tell them that I will make the culprit pay for his sins, and their families will be under my protection too. So, keep an eye on them, and if they have any difficulties in the future, just help them as much as you can."

Cain nodded as he thought that this was the least he could do to pay his fallen soldier.

When Kael heard it, he was shocked and immediately became extremely happy and bowed. "Thank you, Young Master Cain. Thank you- I am really thankful that you even thought about their families too."

Kael expressed his gratitude and even felt bad that he had thought badly towards Cain and hadn't even thought about the possibility that Cain would think about the families of his dead guards too.

Because there was almost none that would care about their dead guard's families, as their deaths were also because of their job, and that was the reality.

Which was why Kael was shocked for a second, as he hadn't expected it at all.

"Okay-okay, you can go now," Cain said while waving his hand as he felt awkward that someone would bow to him just because of something like that.

Let alone the fact that it was Kael, who was one of his two closest people with 'him' before he transmigrated.

That's why only he and Elara called him Young Master instead of the youngest Prince or Your Highness, because 'he' actually hated when someone called him that.

Because in Cain's memory, he actually even hated the king, as when his mother was sick, the king hadn't come or even helped them once, which led to his mother's death and Cain's hatred towards the king.

Which actually helped him, as he honestly didn't care about his so-called 'father' in this body as he wasn't his real father, and the fact that 'Cain' hated him was helping him in his plan to take the throne because if the king didn't want to step down, he wouldn't even hesitate to get rid of him as he thought that this was the only way for him to become the king in 30 days and complete his mission from the system.

Looking at Kael's back as he left, Cain then ordered the system as he wanted to look at Kael's personal information.

Kael himself was an orphan, who was found by his mother starved on a street when he was still young and his mother decided to take him in as she took pity on him.

He didn't expect that his mother's kindness back then just brought him an unexpected surprise.

Cain then decided that he would copy this talent later before taking a look once again at Kael's skill descriptions to see if he had missed a skill that might catch his interest.
