Izuku's eyes flew open as a smile cracked across his face. He flipped out of bed and ran toward the bathroom. "Today's the day" Izuku said and smiled. It had been another week after Izuku's and Ben's talk, Ben started coming into work everyday to help Izuku with the Nanobots. When Ben returned, he got humbly surprised at how many other scientists were worried about him. But, even with Ben back, they hadn't made much progress.

But, today he wasn't gonna think about that. Because today was the UA sports festival. And him and his friends had trained their asses off for this day. Izuku looked at himself in the mirror and flexed. Noticing how his arms had become bigger these past few days. He smiled and brushed his teeth. Then gave another smile before getting ready to leave. He ran to UA at top speed. Which had also increased from his training. He made it to UA and saw a bunch of booths set for the festival and some people arriving early. There was a long que to get in, but since he was a student, he took priority above all else and got let in easily. He walked over to his classroom and sat down at his spot. And soon, more people started to load in.

"Man, I'm so excited!" Ojiro said as he fist pumped. "Yeah, I know what you mean" Shoji said. "I wanna win this" Jirou said as she made a fist. Everyone in the class conversed normally as Iida, Uraraka, Momo, Ashido, Kirishima, Kaminari and Izuku made their own little group to talk. Everyone else had no idea what they we're in for. But, they would soon.

The seven of them talked together about their development in the past two weeks. It was amazing how much they had grown really. But, you'll just have to wait and see how they've grown.

Izuku P.O.V

"And here they are folks, the kids who gave those nasty villains a run for their money! Class 1-A!!" Midnight announced as we all walked in. I smiled as I looked upwards at the crowd cheering so loudy for us. Then I saw the looks of resentment on the other students who weren't in 1-A's faces. Then my smile quickly disappeared as every other student came together into one large group. And they were all shooting dirty looks at us from 1-A. But of course, Bakugou wasn't gonna take that.

He turned and looked at them all with such a snarl, that they turned pale and looked away.

"Now for a few words from the freshman representatives..." Midnight said. "Wait, representatives? There's more than one?" I questioned as I looked up.

"...Katsuki Bakugou and Izuku Midoriya!!" She yelled and stuck out her arm for us. I turned to look at Bakugou and he was giving me one of his classic 'Fucking Deku' looks.

I smiled politely and waved a little as we both walked up the stairs to Midnight. But, he still never looked at me. Staring forward with his angry look. We both reached the top and stood next to Midnight sensei. Then she handed the mic. I spoke with a shy look in my eyes. "Well...I just have to say that.. I'm gonna do my best to win and I hope everyone else will too!!" I yelled the last part as I felt the adrenaline pumping through me.

"Now you! Katsuki Bakugou, what do you have to say!?!" She said and I leaned forward a bit to look at his facial expression. "I'm gonna kick every single one of your sorry asses" he said and gave the mic back. "Well that's... interesting, a declaration of war!!" She said and Bakugou seemed to have a calm expression on his face. Everyone else, not so much. "How arrogant!" A kid from the support course yelled. "Yeah!! Who does he think he is!?!" Another yelled. Bakugou began his decent down the stairs and I took a few seconds to realise what he had just done. Like Midnight said, it was a declaration of war against every Freshman at UA. But, it was more than that. Bakugou intentionally put a target onto his back basically to prove something. He's trying to get a message out. What that message is, I don't know. But, he's trying to get everyone to go after him.

"Well! No more beating around the bush! Let's get to the challenges!! First challenge will be...a race around the stadium!!" She yelled as the digital wheel she started spinning stopped. "Students will have to run a 3km run around the stadium starting from that tunnel. All the way around and come back through the tunnel again. Everyone get to the tunnel please so we may begin" She said and everyone walked over to the tunnel.

But, I was kinda worried. I mean, I'm fast, but I'm worried because this kinda terrain isn't for me. I need buildings to swing on, telephone poles to jump off of. A plain terrain isn't my kinda thing. I need a plan and fast.

I got to the tunnel and got ready to run. I turned my head and saw Iida. He was already ready to run. He's gonna win this. You know how I know that? Because of the training we put in.

I looked at his calf's and saw his new mufflers. I sweatdropped at the way they looked. I still remember the day when it happened.

Flashback

I am currently doing push-ups, but not ordinary push ups. Handstand push-ups. Which, if not already hard. I have a huge ten ton weight at the end of my legs. So, yeah. It's hard.

I closed my eyes as my sweat moved down toward my face and dripped onto the puddle of sweat already on the floor. My arms were burning and trembling from my muscles tearing. But, I kept going. I need to get stronger. I must get stronger.

But suddenly I heard a scream of pain. I turned my head as best I could to see where the scream came from. I turned my head up, only for my damp hair to flop onto my face. I quickly swiped it aside and looked around. I saw all my friends moving toward Iida. I looked at him and the ends of his mufflers were busted and black.

(A muffler is basically an exhaust pipe. And if you don't know what that is. It's the pipe at the end of the car that the black smoke comes out of)

I quickly pushed up as hard as I could and the ten ton weight flew off of my feet and landed with a loud 'BOOM' as it hit the ground. I ran over to Iida and saw that he seemed to be in great pain. Squirming and screaming all over the floor. His mufflers we're broken and there was blood leaking out of the end of it. I quickly picked him up and ran him to his home. His entire family has the same quirk. They should know what to do better than a any doctor.

I ran over to the front door and knocked. "Iida's hurt!!" I yelled and immediately a women that looked like it could be his mother came to the door. Her eyes widened as soon as she saw Iida. She had on some dark blue jeans, a plain white shirt and a pink blouse.  "Lay him down on the couch" she said and I nodded, walking into the house and laying him down so his mufflers faced upwards.

His mother walked over wearing some gloves. She had two towels in her hand and she set them down next to Iida with a huge smile plastered across her face. "What are you so happy about? He's in pain" I said with a worried expression. "His mufflers broke! Isn't that exciting. Honey! Iida's mufflers broke!" She yelled upstairs and a man wearing a normal dress shirt and slacks came down the stairs. He had on some glasses and had Iida's classic blue hair. He actually looked a lot like Iida.

His father came down stairs and he also began to smile. "What are you smiling about?" I asked looking at Iida with a scared face. I wasn't scared of him though, I was scared for him. I shouldn't have pushed him so hard. He broke himself with my training. But, his family is completely fine with it. "Amazing" his father said and grabbed some gloves. They put one of the towels in Iida's mouth and told him to bite down if he feels pain. "Ready?" Iida's father asked. Then, they pulled.

Iida began to give out muffled screams (Not a pun, but it still works)

I reeled back in shock. Then, the muffler completely came off. Iida's screams became louder. This continued until they pulled out all 12 of his mufflers. 6 on each leg. Blood dripped down onto the floor as Iida slowly stopped screaming. His face still portrayed extreme pain.

"Honey, can you get the new mufflers?" Iida's father asked. His mother nodded and ran over to who knows where. I turned to look at his father with the most confused and horrified face ever. "What just happened?" I asked. "This is a family secret. I can't tell you much, but. Basically, we're replacing his mufflers so he can access more speed for recipro burst" he said. "Oh, ok" I said, honestly not knowing how to respond. and his mother came back with 12 huge mufflers in her hands. I moved backwards at the sight of the mufflers. They were huge. "How is he supposed to put on pants with those on?" I asked and his father looks at me and started laughing a loud hardy laugh that filled the room "You just asked a good question. You see, it's already a problem for any Tenya to put on clothes onto our legs. That's why we can't buy knee high socks" he said and his mother giggled a little. "But, to answer your question, these are just add-on's. So when he needs to use his quirk. He'll put these on and when he doesn't , he can take them off. But, these mufflers help increase speed greatly" he said.

Then, they began to put the new mufflers on and bandaged his legs. "Your legs need to get used to the new mufflers. It's gonna hurt for a few days" his mother said and patted his back. I helped Iida up the stairs and dropped him onto his bed. "Iida, I'm so sorry that this happened" I said and he looked up at me with a slightly pained grin. "For what, I asked you to assist men in make my quirk stronger, and you did. This is what I wanted" he said and heaved a deep breath. "I Just wish it wasn't so painful" he said and looked at his bandaged calf's. "Other than that, it's completely fine. Your a great friend Midoriya. Of course, this means I won't be able to join training for the rest of the week, but still, this is good. I thank you, Izuku Midoriya" he said and stood on wobbly legs. He wrapped his arms around me in a hug and smiled. I smiled back at him.

End of flashback

I smiled at the memory. And also noticed that everyone's been hugging me lately.

I shook the thought aside as I looked forward. "And! Ready... Steady...GO!!!" Midnight sensei yelled and we took off. I then put my plan in motion. Webbing the sides of the tunnel and moving backwards to slingshoot forward. I hopped into the air and let the webs carry me forward as I flew by. I looked left to see Bakugou flying next to me with his explosions, then right to see Todoroki skating on his ice. I then began to slow down and I landed with a roll. Can't stop now. I kept running forward as fast as I could until I saw Todoroki shoot ice back at me. I punched the ice, causing it to break into pieces. Then, I saw Bakugou shoot an explosion at Todoroki. Who responded my creating a piston with his ice to push himself into the air and shot upwards. Dodging the explosion. Then he shot ice at Bakugou. Who dodged by moving down and gliding across the ground. I took the chance and slugged him across the face. A bruise appeared and he aimed an explosion at me. I jumped up and grabbed Todoroki's leg and pulled. Causing him to fall off his ice and me to swing forward.

I've got this. At least I thought. I heard, what sounded like engines and turned my head slightly to see Iida. A booming blue flame trailing behind him as he whisked by in the air. Then he touched the ground. And he sped off. Like a rocket. He was gone. That's not good. I'm aiming to win this. I then saw three 0 pointer robots in front of me. "Oh yes! I forgot to mention! There will be a few obstacles in this race!" I heard Midnight sensei's voice.

How do you forget to mention such an important detail, I have no idea. But, I'm not gonna think about that. I ran forward and jumped. Landing on Todoroki's back and jumping off to reach higher heights. I then reached Bakugou and grabbed his leg before swinging forward. I flew forward and webbed onto two 0 pointers heads and began to fall from gravity. This is exactly what I wanted. Just before I hit the ground. The elasticity of my webs kicked in and shot me forward. Past Bakugou, past Todoroki. I put my arms at my sides and my legs straight as I flew through the sky. I soon saw Iida and his jets. Moving forward at high speeds. I quickly took the chance and webbed onto his back. Then I felt it.

Iida's new power. His jets were truly powerful. Because even with my added weight, he didn't slow down a bit. I flew forward with him and felt like a bird with how much flying I was doing. I turned my head as I heard an explosion. Bakugou was catching up. And Todoroki not far behind. I looked forward again as I saw Iida look at me. I then planted my legs firmly into the ground. You've taken me far Iida. But, I'm not trying to let you win. I pulled backwards. And pulled him off his feet.

He immediately flew backwards and did twists in the air. The good thing about this is that his jets are so strong, that he hasn't had a chance to to adapt to the speed of them as yet. So he's basically a novice at using them. I sped past him as. He flew backwards. I then saw him stop his jets and stand up firmly. He looked at me with a big happy grin as he powered up. He sqauted down a bit as he let the beast out. Cause that's what his engines sounded like. Two huge beasts roaring. Then huge flames burst out. And he was off again.

Bakugou and Todoroki had caught up with him now. But, were slowly losing ground to him. I smiled and looked forward. Then my smile disappeared. I came to a halt as I saw the cliff in front of me. A few stones fell in as I looked down into the black abyss.

Then I felt it. All three that were once behind me, zipped past me. A mixture of red, blue and orange filled the sky as they use their quirks.

I began to move backwards slowly and looked forward at my goal. I took off, running at my top speed and jumped. I flew forward and landed on one of the rocks I kept going until I reached the other side. I looked forward to see the other three ahead. Pretty far ahead too. But, Iida wasn't the only one that improved his speed. I did as well. And tremendously at that.

I got into a running position as I smirked at what I was about to do. I looked up and took off. Running at my new top speed. 92km per hour.

I ran at my top speed and caught up with Bakugou and Todoroki as Iida had left them in the dust. I sprinted at top speeds and saw that I was slowly but surely, moving past Bakugou and Todoroki.

Bakugou also seemed to notice this as he aimed an explosion at me. He fired and I jumped forward. Rolling as I landed and getting back to my top running speed. Then, I felt my spidey sense. I jumped forward as a pebble fell on the spot I was about to jump onto and the spot exploded. I deadpanned at the sight and got an idea. I webbed onto a bunch of rocks and threw them in front of me.

Then spots exploded and created a clear path for me to run through. I ran until I ran out of rocks to throw and I had to rely on my spidey sense alone. I jumped forward when my spidey sense appeared knowing that there was a trip mine planted there. Then my spidey sense stopped going off. Meaning that the trip mines had stopped coming.

I looked forward as I saw Iida closely approaching the tunnel we came out of to begin this race. That's when I felt it. The power, coursing through me. Lightning surrounding my legs. I feel my power increase. Still running at top speed. But, that top speed increased. Now running at 144km per hour. I ran forward and slowly caught up to Iida. I soon figured out what was happening.

OFA+Spidey strength= Great power boost.

I smirked as I started to catch up to Iida. Then I heard the biggest explosion of my life. I turned to see Bakugou shooting these huge explosions, wasting his sweat trying to catch up.

Then I heard a second noise. Sounded like burning. Todoroki was using his fire side. He was also propelling forward at huge speeds. I soon got in footing with Iida and kept going.

A hand got placed on the door. "This is getting interesting"

I felt a sudden boost again and felt my speed increase once more.

New speed, 161km per hour

I began to pass Iida very slowly. And he realized this. Cause he started pushing. I smiled as I felt the heat from behind. Bakugou and Todoroki were right on my heel.

"This just became interesting! Who will come out on top!!" I heard Midnights voice. "Aaahhhh!!" I screamed as I pushed harder. No OFA, no spider strength. Just normal human limits. I grit my teeth as I saw the other three with the same determined expression.

I saw it. The finish line. Clearly drawn in front of us. There was no time to attack the others to slow them down, because we were all afraid that we'd slowly down from it. So we pushed.

Putting everything in this. I reached my hand forward to cross the finish line. Iida saw this and did the same. Then Bakugou and Todoroki did the same. I felt myself slowing down though. My stamina was draining in these final moments. I shook my head and took a small hop forward, then leaped for the finish line. Then we all crossed at the same time.  I landed on the ground and rolled as I did. I turned to see Iida as he collapsed. "Wow folks!! Was that amazing or what!?!" Midnight asked the crowd. I cover my face with my hand as I looked up into the sky.

I then closed my eyes. Then I felt a shadow above me and it disappeared I turned my head to see Iida lying down next to me. He had his hand stretched out toward me. "Good race" he said in good sportsmanship. I smiled at him and shook his hand. Then I felt another shadow above me Todoroki. He had an angry look and sighed to calm down. He also stuck his hand out to shake. "Good race" he said, still with a hint of annoyance in his voice. But, strangely, it wasn't directed at me. It was directed at something else.

I took his hand and shook it and Iida did the same. Then he sat down next to me. The only one that was left was Bakugou. But, something tells me he's not gonna sit with us or shake my hand.

Thinking that Bakugou wouldn't shake my hand, I closed my eyes to take a short rest. "And now the rest of the the kids are coming in!!" Midnight sensei yelled and I noticed how more people ran in. The first to run in was Kirishima, then Ashido, then Yaoyorozu, Uraraka, Kaminari and then the rest of the people.

Yaoyorozu and Uraraka had their jackets unzipped to reveal their sports bras and their 4 packs as well. They were both sweating a lot and came to lie down with me, Todoroki and Iida. But, I suddenly felt sand fly onto my face. I spat out the sand and looked up to see Bakugou with his classic snarl.Now what?

He bent down as a little bit of pink dusted his cheeks and he stuck out his hand. My eyes widened at this gesture. "Good race...*Sigh* Mi-Midoriya" he said. He actually said my name, he actually said my name! After years of hearing Deku from him. He finally said my name!

I shook his hand with a pleasantly surprised grin and he looked away. Still with that embarrassed blush on his cheeks. He pulled his hand away from me and then threw sand in my face and walked off. Classic Bakugou. Even when nice, he can still find a way to be an ass.

Once everyone was there, Midnight allowed to first 50 people that came to move on. All the other ones had to go sit on the bleachers and watch. "Now, it's time to see what you've all been waiting for! Who really won the race!?!" She yelled into the mic and raised her hand. Everyone screamed and cheered. She turned to the big screen and pointed at it. "Let's see folks!!" The big screen showed the ending of the race in slow motion.

Me slowly extending my hand and Iida doing the same. Everyone was quiet with anticipation. They all had their ideas about which one of us won. Then the camera switched to bird's eye view. It zoomed in just above our hands. Then it happened. I witness in shock and disbelief as Iida's fingers slowly crossed the finish line before mine. People in the crowd that we're rooting for Iida slowly began cheering. Then my hand came over. Then Bakugou's, then Todoroki.

Then the whole crowd began to cheer. "And first place goes to! Iida Tenya of class 1-A!!!" She yelled and the crowd went wild. Yelling and screaming to their hearts content. But, none more than the Tenya family. I turned my head to see them yelling to their hearts content. I smiled as I saw Iida with tears in his eyes.
