Spider-Man: Absolute Godspeed

This is the story of Eren Parker, the boy who became Spider-Man and saved the world from mass destruction using his spider-like powers and his speedy ability known as Godspeed (Think similar to Killua or the Flash). He was a menace to some, but a hero to many. This story is only found on Webnovel and RoyalRoad (SurelyNotEli) This story, unlike many others, has a point to it. It's not a power fantasy, harem, reincarnation novel where the point is to do cool stuff. I’m trying to have an actual story with actual characters with actual development with an ending that wraps everything up. Please, just please don't be an a-hole if you don't like it. Just leave if you don't. Thanks.

Thank you

Hello everyone.

I just wanted to say thank you all so much for reading and making it this far. Words cannot describe how important Eren Parker as a character is to me. This story took a year to write and it also took me restarting the book from scratch to really get it right.

This book was the reason why I fell in love with writing.

I took a class in my senior year of college for creative writing and I wrote a story. It was fun and I got 100 percent on it. Shortly after, my friend started writing here (He is the author of the book DC: Celestial Light Human. You should read it). Since I had fun writing for my class, I thought that maybe I should try writing myself so I started brainstorming ideas.

It wasn't until Spider-Man: No Way Home that I realized what I wanted to write. When Peter 3 said "I stopped pulling my punches." I wondered what would become of a story where I wrote about Spider-Man doing just that. I wanted to write a story about a boy who killed but stopped once he realized that wasn't the way to go. However... people didn't like that.

I was review bombed, called an idiot, was told to kill myself, and it all really got to me. All of those hateful comments still get to me to this day. I always feel anxious whenever I see that I got a new comment or ESPECIALLY a review because of all the hate I used to get.

I dropped the original version of this book and went on to write other things. I sold out and wrote a reincarnation Ghost Rider book even though I hate that genre because I knew it would get popular and I thought that popularity was what I was seeking. However, after a handful of chapters and endless positivity, I realized that it wasn't what I wanted.

I considered restarting my book, Spider-Man Godspeed but I didn't have the motivation. That was until I read my friend's first few chapters of a story they are working on, my friend Violet, and it made me realize what I wanted again. My friend Violet showed me their story where a hero was so dedicated to saving people, they burned themselves alive despite knowing they weren't strong enough.

I can't do the story justice by only describing it, but the hero named Strive was born at that moment and they saved everyone. It was amazing and it inspired me to change who Eren Parker was slightly and how I would write my story.

No longer was the aim to please people.

No longer was the aim to become the number 1 Spider-Man book.

My goal was to write a story about a boy who did whatever it took to be a hero, even if it killed him and so I did just that while keeping the not pulling punches thing for a single scene.

This time around, I luckily only received one negative review (so far) and hardly any negative comments and I truly appreciate that. You don't know how much I appreciate every positive comment. One positive comment or review literally makes my day and there are a handful of you guys who are always so kind to me and I am very thankful to you all. You guys are the reason why I was able to complete this story.

Again, thank you to everyone who read and liked my book, it means a lot.

Thank you SwayStar (I won't use his real name since he is an author here) for showing me the joys of writing.

Thank you Violet for inspiring me every single time you show me your work.

Please check out any of my original stories if you are a fan of my work.

Again, thank you, everyone.

I truly am thankful.
