Chapter 20 -

Leader: "give her the fish she asks for these devices, and then take her to my hut to bear my seed and eggs, she's too good for just a scout"

that just made any fear Inky had left snap and lash out as she stepped in front of Erik.

Inky: "no way bitch! this is my mate and only mine!"

Leader: "you dare to disobey me? I see your mate only has 2 tentacles left but she looks powerful and her frame should be able to carry my eggs inside, you can have hers if you want"

Inky: "you still don't get it right? my mate aint the octopeople, he came from inside the cylinder you venerate when we arrived"

Leader: "what!? she stole sacred artifacts?!"

Inky: "no you stupid muscle head! he made that spaceship!"

all seemed to quiet down after that declaration, until the leader said.

Leader: "call the elders" to a nearby warrior who swam fast back to the village, then looked back to Inky and said.

Leader: "I hope you can prove what you say, if we find out you are lying... heh... you will see" said the leader smirking.

Inky: " you will see"

a minute later, out of the tribe came 4 old looking octopeople, they were at least 3 heads taller than the leader and were looking really powerful actually, their skin was a bit wrinkly, their skin pale and their boobs hanging a bit though, their skin color was different as well as their scars, the one on the left was looking more delicate and plumper in the waist and boobs, the second looked the beefiest as she was basically a small fortress of muscle and her skin color a bit redder and metallic looking, the third one was normal not too beefy or scrawny, and the fourth one was clearly the oldest, with little muscle mass at all.

the second elder looked at the leader and then at Erik and finally at Inky.

Second elder: "hope you weren't lying little one, the punishment will be severe for you and your mate if we see you are lying".

Inky:"i am not"

then the elders looked at Erik.

Second elder:" now, explain yourself"

Inky: "he can't talk or understand what you are saying elder"

Second Elder: "what!? then how are we supposed to talk to her!? did you make us come for nothing?!, tell her to take that helmet off at least!"

Inky:" if she takes it off, he will die, he can't breathe under the water" she had already seen it in the bathtub when he came to breathe to the surface if she cuddled with him underwater.

Second elder: "that's nonsense! all being in creation can breathe underwater!"

Inky:" but he's not from here, he will show you! he showed me already on his magical screen!".

Meanwhile, Erik had spent a couple of really stressful minutes, from seeing Inky seemingly argue with the leader to then argue with the mountain like elders, he was even starting to considering just running away, as the beefy looking elder was looking at his dangerously, that was when Inky patted him on the chest and then the spaceship and then the elders and then himself again, he wasn't totally clear but thought it should be along the lines of 'present yourself' or something, so he pointed to the screen and first showed earth from space and then it zoomed to the space launch center in Madrid, and a rocket sending a piece of his spaceship to space and mounting it on an space station, then him coming to the spaceship, entering cryosleep, and the planet he was supposed to go, then of him waking to an alarm of an imminent collision and how he put on his spaceship and used the escape drop pod to survive, then went back to his space ship and met Inky when going out, and end it with forests, desserts and other biomes on earth.

Inky was looking satisfied at the stupefied faces of even the elders, she felt really smug and proud, like the achievement was hers.

Inky:" well, what do you think now?" she said, with her fins pointed up in a smug way.

Her words woke the others and elders of their stupor as they looked at her, the other 3 elders pleased, but the second elder looked a bit angry though, that was fine with Inky though as she didn't live in the tribe anymore anyways, her new home was way better.

The fourth elder spoke then.

4th Elder: "you have brought a great ally to our race young one, as she seems happy with you being her mate we shall leave it at that for now, as for the sacred palace that fell from the sky, we will let him passage to it in a week so she can prove who she is by opening the closed off temple, now (she looked at a nearby warrior) bring them the price asked for these long-range weapons bring a piece of abyssal meat"

Second Elder: "what!? but that was a prey we took so much effort to hunt us 4 together and elite warriors, we even had some casualties"

4th Elder: "sigh you don't get it, these are all long-range weapons, and if we cover also the arrowheads in poison, just 20 normal warriors could become elite hunters and collaborate from afar to bring down far larger prey, we also want her to be happy with the trade and continue bringing us new things" and she flapped her fings in a friendly way to Erik.

Inky: "elder, actually his race shows their teeth when they are happy"

4th Elder:" oh, is that so? like this?".

her smile was still sharp and big, like a shark smiling.
