A Month Later

"This is all so confusing..." Blake said while ruffling his own hairs. All this information was overloading his brain. He did understand the basics of everything but when Simon started explaining the grades and types of monsters Blake felt it was too much for him to handle.

"You don't have to worry...once you enter junior academy you will learn all this." Simon said patting Blake's shoulder. He knew this was too much for Blake and even Arya reacted the same when Simon told her all this. Simon knew Arya would grow up to become a battle maniac just like their grandfather while he was more of the researcher type like his father.

"I'll go to sleep now. Wake me up in the evening." Blake said as he laid on the bed and fell asleep in just a few seconds. Seeing this even Simon left the room.

And just like that days passed by. Maria had created a diet while Kevin had created a physical training plan. Sheila and Anya took the responsibility to take care of the diet part and not just of Blake but also Simon and Arya. Kevin would supervise the physical training of all three kids. And for training their souls spirits, Arya and Simon was supervised by Anya and Sheila while Blake's was personally supervised by Harold himself. Harold had told his kids that unless Blake doesn't get control over his soul spirit, they can't train together. Now it has been a month since they have been here. John also visited twice till now.

Today Blake, Arya and Simon were doing their physical training under Kevin's supervision while Sheila, Anya and Harold were sitting in Harold's study.

"Sheila I wanted to talk to you about something important." Harold said.

"What is it about?" Sheila asked with a confused expression.

"It's about Blake's education. Have you decided how to proceed?" Harold asked.

"Actually last week when John came we discussed about it. There are so many ways that we haven't decided." Sheila said.

Seeing her friend in a dilemma Anya smiled and said "Some prefer to send children to junior academy and then to the main academies. Some clans prefer to homeschool children and directly send them to the main academy years later or else Blake can learn in the church." Anya said while spelling out all the options a soul master and a knight has.

"Ya uncle Tom already said that he can arrange a spot for Blake at the church but we are afraid that the church might determine Blake's soul spirit as kind of evil. They won't do anything to him but he might feel isolated there. Most people who go to the academies of the church have soul spirits related to healing, purifying and stuff like that. They are pretty hypocritical sometimes." Sheila said in a worried tone.

"One thing for sure is that Blake is a pure soul master unlike Arya and Simon whose existence of being a soul master depends on the intensity of their fire. Luckily in the past few month both of them has shown more than enough progress that I can enroll them as a soul master." Harold said as he sighed.

Hearing this Anya made an ugly face as she pinched Harold and said "You don't have to look down on Knights Harold. They can be as strong as soul masters. Because of you even the children will develop such a mentality."

"Sorry." Harold couldn't help but aplogize to his wife about this. Over the past few centuries Knights had become strong and advanced enough to stand shoulder to shoulder with soul masters. They had their own pride and some even regarded soul masters as weaklings dependent on mana.

After thinking for a while Sheila said "I think it will be better if Blake joins junior academy along with Arya and Simon. I will speak to John about his admission."

"You don't need to worry about admission at all Sheila." Harold said which made Sheila a bit confused.

"Every year our clan gets 5 spots to enter Shell city's junior academy. This year we have only 2 kids from the branch clan along with Simon and Arya so Blake can be the fifth." Harold said with a proud smile.

Sheila had a warm feeling in her heart as she heard this but she quickly looked at the Blaze couple and said "But you guys have already done a lot for us. I don't want to..."

"Stop talking like that Sheila. In the past month you both have become a part of our family. And giving him the spot doesn't mean he is selected directly. While entering the junior academy Blake will have to give a test for him to be enrolled as a student there. So it completely depends on Blake's own strength to get his admission in the academy. And I have heard that from this year they are starting something new." Anya's eyes twinkled as she said the last line.

Harold massaged his forehead and said "Oh yess, how did I forget that? From this year onwards soul master academy and knight academy students will learn practice and fight together. It's tje government's initaitive so that when they are enrolled in the armed forces they don't have problems among each other."

"I think that's a good initaitive then...soul masters and Knights both will learn about the hardships they both go through and maybe soul masters won't call knights as barbarians or muscleheads and Knights won't call soul masters mana slaves." Sheila said and even Anya nodded heavily listening to that.

Hearing the word mana slaves Harold made an ugly face and said "Don't remind me of the word mana slaves. I was called that so many times by the knights when I was in the armed forces while other soul masters called me a nerd. I don't think they ever knew my real name."

Anya giggled and said "It was your idea to join the armed forces and not include your family name in it. It was obvious that you would get bullied."
