Chapter 25: Forgiveness as a New Beginning
Viona let out a sigh, and then she glanced at Giselda. "My sweet daughter, can you leave us for a moment?"
Giselda stared at Viona for a few seconds, then gazed at Zealous. He nodded, so Giselda finally stood. But, before leaving, Giselda glanced at Viona again and stepped out of the room.
After Giselda left her room, Viona's stare was cold. No matter what, Zealous was the one who killed her husband. "I don't ask you to apologize," Viona said. "Besides, I doubt you feel guilty about killing my husband." Her voice was shaky.
"Then why do you want to see me?"
"As I told you, I'm Giselda's mother now. Tomorrow, you will be my son-in-law. Giselda has suffered a lot. So, I want you to promise me three things."
"What are they?"
