Something about HER

"Jill!" Sheri whispered. Jill continues to give Sheri grief. Though, in all honesty Jill didn't care, nor did she have room to judge. Jill has done what Sheri is about to do once or twice. Maybe even three times by the time she's done with Anthony. Who knows what his status is? Don't care... But Jill could shamelessly say this, she's never blatantly seen a man's wife and still brazenly flirt with their husband. Sheri was on a whole new level of savagery, and Jill wasn't letting her best friend off the hook so easily. Jill thought to herself, the next time Sheri tries to act all innocent and poise to judge me, imma rub the dirt all up in her face. She continues to push Sheri’s buttons till she gets up to leave and go to the bathroom. Jill was getting ready to tell her to use the gel when unexpectedly, Sheri collides into the Governor. They were a whole tangled mess, Jill practically had to pull them apart before his wife came. The Governor was grateful for her intervention because even he realized he wasn't focused. Upon meeting the governor's wife, Jill was 100% sure, she did not like her. This self-important, condescending chick, made Jill simply want to backhand her. Her whole attitude was trash. She looked down at Sheri and Jill the whole time with fake greetings of kindness. But Jill matched her energy. Like b*tch, your not about to run over me. But Sheri... Practically became her yes girl. And Jill had to fall in line because it wasn't her fight. *** After the awful encounter with Monica, the Governor's wife, Jill got to work on making sure Sheri had a more prominent presence. The girls went to the bathroom, and Jill opened every stall to make sure no one was around. "What was that?!" Jill yelled. "I know right?! Absolute b*tch!" Sheri added. Jill wanted to smack Sheri. "No! You!" Sheri was confused. "You're not focused! When she came up to us all stank, you had no fight in you. You acted like a docile little girl. She said jump and you went 'how high?' Even I had to fall in line." Jill was so infuriated. "Oh...". Sheri said in recollection. "Listen that right there was a freebie. Monica is not about to think that's how things are gonna be moving forward." Jill declares. Sheri was silent but signaled she understood Jill continued as she paced the spacious restroom. "She's the one that had things she wanted to discuss with you, not the other way around. You should of let Monica know what day YOU were available instead of going along with what she choose!" "I know I just got nervous..." Sheri put her hand to her forehead. "Well that needs to be out of your system now that we have a vague idea of what she's about. When we go to the Governor's house, don't act all impressed, as if you've never been in a place like that before, and whatever she asks of you, tell her you need time to deliberate. She's not getting her answer right away." Jill looked at Sheri sternly. "You're right! I'm sorry!... I guess I felt bad about my behavior with her husband that I kind of submitted to her." Sheri admitted. "So are you gonna feel bad about the Governor's behavior too?!" Jill snapped "Takes two to tangle, And y'all was entangled!" "Jill... I don't know if I can be the type of woman that can mess with a married man..." Sheri lowered her head. Well what is she trynna say about me! Jill thought. *** Hey everyone, thank you for your interest in my book, this is my first time writing a story. Hope you enjoyed this excerpt. This is my original work and the setting is urban American. My characters are of African American, Caribbean, and Hispanic descent, so this book may have a different flavor from the more traditional stories on here, so feel free to comment if there are any slang terms or phrases you don't understand.

Saved By The Jill

'Here I go again, completely mesmerized by this man.' Sheri thought to herself. With unspoken chemistry the Governor makes her feel so wanted.

Jill leaned into Sheri's ear and said "Damn homewrecker... I thought we liked the Governor and his ole lady... You one of them types of hoes huh."

"Jill!" Sheri whispered back.

"Girl I'm just playing. If it ain't you it's gon be some other hoe." Jill snorted

Jill was dying laughing. She's one of those people who will laugh at her own joke no matter what you think. All Sheri could do was shoot evil eyes at her.

"Okay, and how do we know if Mr. Anthony Lawson is single?" Sheri retorted back.

"Um... We don't but... We clearly saw the governor with his wife. So worry about yourself, baby girl."

Typical Jill. She'll drag someone over to the dark side and then judges their character to make them feel bad. All the while still being her wild self.

Sheri shakes her head in contempt and says, "I'm going to the lady's room." As Sheri got up to leave, she bumps into The Governor.

"Ooh!"

"I'm so sorry! Are you ok?" The governor steadys her.

The Governor had his arms wrapped around Sheri as she tried to regain her balance from almost falling.

"You alright?" he asked again with concern.

"Yes, I'm fine, you just caught me... off guard... " Sheri suddenly noticed his hands around her waist. She felt so secure within his hold. She stood up taller and placed her hands on his shoulders for "extra" support.

"I really am sorry," The governor said again looking into Sheri's eyes as they continued to hold each other. "I was just coming over to introduce myself to you." The Parkdale governor said as he reluctantly release Sheri from his arms.

"Really it's fine, I should have been watching where I was going." Sheri nervously giggled and tucked a stray hair behind her ear.

The governor was speechless for a long three seconds as he was captivated by this woman's charm and her stunning smile.

"Wow, you have a gorgeous smile Ms...."

"Sheri. Sheri Woods." Sheri reached for the Governor's hand to shake.

"Governor Mark Garrett," Mark said as he kept a tight hold of Sheri's hand.

Neither one of them wanted to let go of each other's hands. They felt at ease with each other's calming touch.

"Oh hi." Jill interrupted. "I'm Jill Sanchez aka Isa Mendoza. My undercover name giving to me by courteous via Spy Museum. I'm Sheri's friend, here to see her get her award for Principal of The Year." Jill shook his hand as she said, "It is truly an honor to meet you."

Sheri finally realized why Jill decided to interject into their steamy encounter so suddenly. The governor's wife was headed their way.

Mark who still hadn't notice, responded with a chuckle, "It is very nice to meet you too, glad you like some of the features this place has to offer. Pretty neat huh?"

"Probably one of the coolest museums ever." Sheri agreed, noticing he still couldn't take his eyes off her even though he was addressing Jill.

Finally, Mark saw his wife quickly approaching and looked at Jill knowingly.

Jill smiled in acknowledgment.

Keeping the conversation casual but important Mark says to Sheri, "So how excited are you to be taking an award home tonight?"

Monica overhears this and is glad to see that these two bimbos are not just some random hoes digging for gold looking for a baller to mess with.

Hoes these days are so ruthless.

Mark pretending to have just spotted his wife says, "Monica, hun. There you are, I would like you to meet our table neighbors." They all chuckle.

"This is Sheri Woods and uh... "

"Jill Sanchez." Jill said as she and Sheri gracefully took turns shaking Monica's hand.

"Yes thank you. Mark said. "Sheri Woods is The Principle of The Year, and Jill here is a..."

"Defence attorney."

Mark thought to himself that Jill's occupation was quite fitting since she has done an impeccable job at getting him out of a tight bind in front of his wife. Mark knew for sure if Jill hadn't been there, his wife would have witnessed his and Sheri's undeniable steamy interaction.

"Oh yes! I'm so happy to meet you. I had somethings I wanted to discuss with you when I met you." Monica goshed. "Lets exchange information so we can discuss what I had in mind."

"Oh, okay... What are somethings you had in mind?" Sheri asked as she reluctantly exchanged information with the governor's wife."

"Please, let's not discuss things now. Let's enjoy the night and celebrate. How about tomorrow morning we can discuss things over brunch." Monica says in a polite yet commanding way.

"Well- uh... Sure that works. I'll-"

"Splendid! See you tomorrow at 12." Monica said with a fake smile.

"Oh, and feel free to tag along Jen."

"It's Jill." Jill said giving her the same fake smile.

Monica didn't acknowledge Jill. She strutted away while dragging her husband along to have a seat.

Sheri and Jill both rolled their eyes and went to the ladies room.
