Chapter 2

"No Alison, were not going anywhere. You need to stop being paranoid and have some fun." Vanessa looked at me pleading.

I groaned and turned around for a moment. He was gone.

"No Vanessa, we need to go now." she stomped her foot and glared at me. "I'm not leaving." I rubbed my eyes in frustration. "Fine, then I'm leaving without you." I turned toward the exit to leave and walked right into someone. I opened my mouth to apologize as someone whispered in my ear.

"where are you going princess."

I spun around quickly as he disappeared into the crowd. "Alison you need to sit down." Vanessa looked at me worried. "No." I whispered to her quickly before turning back around and starting for the tunnel again. I could hear Vanessa calling for me. But as I got further and her voice started to quiet, I could tell she wasn't following. I looked behind me to make sure he wasn't either. I reached the ladder and quickly climbed up. but as I reached the grate I noticed something off. Vanessa never closed it. Hoping that he wasn't out there and that someone outside closed it and left. I slowly pushed it open and looked out. looking around, as far as I could tell nobody was waiting for me. I opened it more and climbed out, closing it softly. I looked around again and sighed relief. I looked around one last time and started jogging home.
