Treyah And Ergillaz

3rd person POV

Silence reigned in the chamber, the almost rampant demon subdued before the situation could escalate. Ergillaz's gaze is complicated as he looks towards Seccessus's unconscious body on the floor. The gold dust that filled the room dissipates with a simple snap of his fingers. Allowing Treyah Tuldani to stand up again.

The Demonic treaant looks clearly worn out, his panting an indicator of his struggle against Ergillaz's powerful pressure. He calmly cleans his white robe of any dust and blood splatters, trying to adjust to the situation.

"Can you explain this to me, Ergillaz?" Treyah Tuldani ask showing a sly smile, quite the opposite of his eyes which are keenly observing.

"What exactly?" Ergillaz replies, showing a familiar discontent to the priest.

"Don't act dumb. This isn't normal!" The first sight yells in frustration, seeing Ergillaz yet again chose to act troublesome with the church.

"…" Ergillaz doesn't reply, he simply gives a quick glance to the priest before he gets lost in his thoughts once more.

"We are… no, we were prepared for every possible situation. He could have gone uncontrollably rampant like a beast, lost his sanity, fallen unconscious or perhaps if miracles existed he might have become so traumatized that he doesn't remember anything." Treyah Tuldani says towards the arch devil with golden eyes.

"So, tell me how did he not go rampant? How was he able to still control his actions? How was he able to still speak properly? HOW IS ANY OF THIS POSSIBLE!" The priest continues to speak, the last sentence yelled in frustration and the anguish of having lost a colleague.

Ergillaz's attention has now completely gone towards the usually calmer first sight. He's clearly on edge because of the recent events, like the wraith queen's disappearance. Add on top of that, the fact that Seccessus has shown unfamiliar abilities.

"I don't know." Ergillaz decides to reply dryly.

"Why are you being so stubborn? We share the same enemy, the same goal!"

"What are you proposing, priest? Spit it out, I have to return this demon to the estate and give him some heavy narcotics." Ergillaz replies, his golden eyes showing displeasure, whilst his tone is firm and strict.

Treyah Tuldani sighs at the hostile response, a light headache starts to fester itself because of Ergillaz's annoying remarks.

"I'm not a fool, if it was only a strange reaction towards the treatment then I would have not spoken up and called it an anomaly. But tell me, how was he able to absorb so many souls during the last battle of the tournament. We're talking about 2 anomalies now, and that in the space of a week."

"..."

"At first I thought it was simply because he was a reincarnated one but that simply doesn't cut it any longer. It's already strange that a natural reincarnation has found itself here and not in Genesias, and now I have to make sense of these abnormalities." Treyah Tuldani explains in calmer tone than before, deciding that any more outbursts would harm the conversation.

"..."

"Help me understand, and I can help you understand. You know more about him than I do, and I Have scriptures and knowledge at my disposal that could shed light on the situation." Treyah Tuldani continues to speak, not in a pleading tone, but one more firm and reassured in his offer.

Ergiilaz's golden eyes look intently at the priest. Trying to see if this offer was worth it.

'The church has been an incompetent mess, so expecting any good answers will just be a futile hope. But still... I have nothing to go on and besides, after Anima is killed, I can simply destroy him if he decides to try anything.' Ergillaz thinks, forming a suitable conclusion for this predicament.

"Very well, if you're so confident about these old rotting pages, then please ask away." Ergillaz responds in a snide remark that surprisingly gives a positive affirmation.

"Let's start with the basic questions. How old is he? Where did he reincarnate from?" Treyah Tuldani asks, not able to hide his anticipation.

"No Idea."

"What?"

"I have no clue. When he began his training at our estate, I thought I could ask him then. But he quickly becomes unresponsive as soon as we tried to figure anything out." Ergillaz explains, preventing any further annoying breakdowns from the priest.

"What about relationships? Does he have any notable friends or perhaps a lover?"

"How would that information even remotely help you? Do your scriptures perhaps also require the knowledge if he's a great kisser or what side of the bed he sleeps on?" Ergillaz responds, ridiculing the useless question.

"No, but perhaps he might be in contact with someone who has given him certain boons." Treyah Tuldani responds calmly, not falling for the provocation.

"Not to brag, but if any of his contacts had given him boons, then that would be me. For your question, before I found him, he had apparently made contact with 3 other devils and demons. Firstly, you had Ashmodai some gambling devil he met in a tavern. He and I made a deal, ensuring that Seccessus would keep his end of the bargain and not stray towards any other benefactors. He apparently also met a demon named Leilaya, she currently resides in my estate and has shown no sign of anything extraordinary. Lastly, he has formed an amicable band with another reincarnation, a small girl that used to be called Elizabeth in her previous life."

"A reincarnated? How?" Treyah Tuldani asks, baffled by the unprecedented turn of events.

"Your quite shocked."

"Of course one natural reincarnate is already unheard of. But TWO!"

"She's not a natural reincarnate, she was summoned here."

"..."

"One of my loyal subordinates named Idrilth told me about her tale. She was listening at the door and I must say that it has been quite intriguing. The girl spoke about waking up surrounded by blood and corpses. That means that she was summoned, and they apparently also experimented on other beings."

"..."

"That would suggest that a very powerful demon or devil was busy with some research. But then I kept thinking about it, why would it have to be one powerful devil? She mentioned multiple researchers, so I began to think that an organization could be behind it." Ergillaz continues to speak, his aura emitting from his body once more, forcing Treyah Tuldani on the ground again.

"An organization in Lucille's Light that is large enough to perform rituals unnoticed and that even gets accompanied by "chants". Isn't it strange that the priests from our beloved church also tend to use chants when performing rituals.

"..."

"I guess what I'm trying to say, first sight is." Ergillaz pauses putting his face in front of Tuldani's.

"You better explain what the church was doing if you ever want to leave this room again." Ergillaz says in a menacing tone, his golden eyes looking like a predator that has found its prey.

The room that was once calm starts to glisten with different minerals as the light dark skinned devil's aura seeps to the surrounding area.
