Matthew panicked when Lilly Rose went limp inside his arms. He was about to rise up, taking her with him when he realized that she was leaning towards him.

'shit! Is it really happening?' He asked in his head, silently celebrating the moment.

He greedily scanned Lilly Rose's face, a bit damp from sweat from puking. He drew his eyebrows as he snaked his left arm around her waist to bring her closer, while his right arm rose up and caressed her damp cheeks.

"Are you okay?" He asked in the barest of whispers. He didn't want to startle her or break the moment of having her in his arms.

"Hmmm," she mumbled her answer with her eyes tight close.

Matthew exhaled a relieved breath and just cradled her gently like a fragile child.
