Chapter 5

Addy

Addy couldn't stand the fact that Lisa is up her ass on every little thing she does that is when she called it quits after two weeks though it didn't feel like it but she had enough of the constant sex and never having time to herself plus meeting her family became awkward, she didn't belong by far that is when she finally saw Harley out on the sidewalk she wanted to so be with her though knowing Lisa wouldn't approve is far from her mind and knowing that Lisa will have this marriage isn't what she wants. Addy saw Harley walk away as she followed her leaving Lisa in the apartment to herself making her way to see Harley collapsing in tears. Addy ran to her before seeing Harley hit the ground with full force, she caught her mid-run as her legs went beneath her to hold Harley whispering sweet nothings just to make sure she is okay that is when she heard Ariel whisper to her.

"You need to talk to Harley, you both belong together, and she can't stand you with Lisa. Tell her to meet you at the bar around 10pm though I have a feeling you both will be there sooner. Talk to you later." Ariel whispered leaving Addy to hold Harley.

That is when it came to her mind to say this one time to Harley make her believe they can be together.

"I will let you go if you close your eyes. You don't need to see me." Addy said softly.

She lifted Harley's head then pressing her against the wall to kiss her with passion before letting go making her way back to Lisa. Getting back to the apartment she snuck past Lisa quietly making her way to the computer that she used to speak with Harley when she could and their close friends because she had no other way to let Harley know what is going on. She sat down and wrote this letter with hopes of a reply.

Harley,

I know you felt me holding you this evening but I had to be there for you after what you witnessed me and Lisa once again. I am not one to stay mad or hate anyone forever but you have to realize if I leave Lisa you need to leave Deborah otherwise we are meant for each other, though I could be wrong about this and you leave Deborah this evening. I am giving you enough time to make up you're mind, I have a very important meeting to attend with Lisa for work related issues. Meet me at Marie and Ariel's bar at 10pm before it closes at 11pm if you do not show up I know your answer.

~Addy

Addy waited a few more minutes to hear from Harley but no word came back this time just as she turned around Lisa cleared her throat scaring her from the thoughts that consumed her of Harley.

"You need to be dressed so we can be at the bar to see everyone if you aren't dressed within thirty minutes than you are on you're own. Now, go get dressed." Lisa demanded.

"I am going just letting Ariel know we are attending this evening for the party down at the bar since Chef Marie Lavoie is cooking tonight." Addy replied touching Lisa's cheek softly.

Addy saw Lisa roll her eyes then made her way to the room to get dressed she found a lovely red dress that would fit her perfectly and red high heels. Rushing into the shower to get rid of the sweat that she had from seeing Harley earlier than hurried to get her clothes on and heels making her way out the door to find Lisa sitting by the door.

"Dressed a bit fancy tonight, don't you think?" Lisa said.

"I wanted to look good being by you." Addy replied.

"Fine, fine whatever let's go." Lisa responded.

Addy and Lisa walked downstairs from the apartment complex a made their way to the bar as she saw Harley in the corner, she swallowed taking a deep breath not expecting Lisa to follow her to Harley she got up the courage to sit next to Harley and whispered.

"Harley, please whatever you do, do not lose your temper, and listen to me carefully. I am unfortunately unable to stay because of Lisa though I want you to find some place to stay at in the meantime with hopes I do find you there. Just know I didn't think I would find love until our eyes met but loving you beyond myself was never in the plans. See you later."

Addy got out of the booth without another word walking away with Lisa. Just as she projected Reba came to Lisa's rescue loving on her, Addy wanted to gag watching them to share a kiss and seeing Taylor pissed off a hurt more than anything it became her last straw when she placed the engagement ring on the table walking over to Addy.

"Go to Harley, I will handle these two bitches." Taylor whispered.

Addy walked back over to the booth, sitting next to Harley as they both watched Taylor beat their asses to the ground on the whole cheated behind their backs. Addy and Harley shared a smile as they continue to watch Marie and Ariel split up the fight. Addy saw Lisa flip her off walked out of the bar with Reba in tail. Addy shook her head with a chuckle then seeing Harley do the same.

"Well seems them two won't be around as long as Taylor has hold of the bar now." Addy said.

"You got that right." Harley replied. "On second thought this was a mistake I shouldn't have came, I am going to find Celeste and Melissa."

"Wait, what, no stay Harl--"Addy responded that is when she saw Harley bolt from the booth.

Addy wanted to grab Harley's hand but she became too fast to catch this time. Addy had no idea what to do now to get Harley to talk to her just one on one. Addy thought that she had done something wrong though it still didn't add up as to why Harley ran to Celeste and Melissa. She looked at Taylor, Ariel, and Marie with questioning looks as they were trying to figure out the situation that just didn't make sense to any of them. Addy knew Harley wanted her badly like desperately wanted to be with her but she couldn't conclude why she just walked away. Grabbing her purse and her drink, she made her way over to Harley on the other side of the bar with a smile still on her face. She slid in beside Harley in the booth winking at her.

"Hey babe, you ready to leave for the evening to my place?" Addy said smiling.

"First off, I am not your babe. Second off, I don't want to leave with you. Third off, leave me alone." Harley replied harshly.

Addy never seen Harley like this still not making sense of the situation then her eyes made it across the bar to find Deborah staring Harley down. As if she needed a reason for Deborah to be stalking Harley. Addy had enough of these women that is when she grabbed Harley by the face and kissing her with passion as she felt Harley follow suit without struggling anymore, she needed Harley and Harley needed her. It didn't make sense to her whatsoever but she couldn't question this opportunity to have Harley in her arms once and for all. Their bodies cling together as they made out in the booth without a care if people were looking they needed one another once and for all. Addy finally released herself from Harley as their foreheads leaned against one another and taking deep breaths.

"I love you Harley, please don't run away to her." Addy whispered.

"I am sorry Addy. I do still love her even though she cheated on me. You need to find someone else to love." Harley replied climbing over Addy and making her way to Deborah.

Addy now felt lost than ever because she didn't know what the hell Harley seen in that woman. Addy swallowed hard with fighting tears a perfect evening to finally have one another and she leaves her for Deborah. Lisa is with Reba which made her puke inside her mouth after being with Lisa for two weeks just long enough to have Harley back and now this is the game they get to play with one another. Addy didn't want no one else they already belong together why the hell should she find someone else again? Addy got out of the booth making her way to the bar ordering from Ariel tequila shots to make her forget this whole mess.

"Addy, that is enough shots you need to go home. Taylor is back at the apartment waiting for you. She left six shots." Ariel said.

"One more please, I need to forget her and everything I did to have her in my arms." Addy begged.

"Sorry, you aren't drinking your life away. Go on, get out of here. Cab is outside waiting for you." Ariel replied.

Addy got up from the bar taking a deep breath then walked outside to her cab that waited for her to get in. She told the driver what apartment complex and finally made her way to the apartment when she found Taylor with a smile on her face.

"It is good to know you are alive after consuming so much alcohol. Harley left you a message on why she left with Deborah though it didn't seem meaningful enough for you to keep trying to get her but I know you love her." Taylor said.

"I will read it later, I am too drunk to read anything from her." Addy replied leaving the living room to head toward her own room that she missed so much.

Addy slept until mid-afternoon when she finally made her way to Taylor's computer seeing the message from Harley, she just shook her head and deleted it not even bother reading it. Three days forward it presumed the same way, she didn't want nothing to do with Harley. Harley broke her heart and that is all that mattered at this point, she needed more alcohol to forget Harley. Addy couldn't even drag herself to the bar, she just wanted to stay put and not bother with socializing.

"Addy get yourself out there again instead of moping around here. Harley wouldn't want you to feel this way." Taylor said.

"Fuck her, fuck everything she meant to me. I am not meeting anyone else. Lisa is gone to Reba, Deborah and Harley have one another. Ariel and Marie are happily in love. Celeste and Melissa are finally getting married. Taylor, you have a boyfriend somewhere in this neck of the woods. Fuck, everyone has someone in these parts of society." Addy replied drinking red wine that she found in the cabinet.

"Addy, seriously? Everyone's love life is happy but doesn't mean yours can't be. So what if Harley went back to Deborah, it'll bite her in the ass eventually. Get off that damn couch and go to the park or something find someone new. Hell, the coffee shop down the road is always popping with people." Taylor responded.

"Fine, only because I want coffee instead of this red wine." Addy replied.

"I just want you to be happy Addy is all. I hate to see you upset over something so redundant as Harley. If she truly loved you she would be with you right now." Taylor responded.

"Enough, Taylor, enough. I don't want to hear that about her, she isn't redundant just she loves her and that is that." Addy replied heading to her room and putting on something fresh.

Looking at herself in the mirror seeing that a pants suit with a white tank top and a jacket seemed more her appeal with black flats with her hair in a bun in her light blue glasses to just look more professional. Grabbing her black purse from the closet placing in her wallet then heading out the door away from Taylor. Addy needed time to herself and having coffee didn't sound so bad. Making her way to the coffee shop she caught the eye of someone familiar in this broad daylight. She couldn't believe it when she found Abby Walker sitting by herself reading a book that actually peaked her interest. Addy rushed over to the park than sat next to Abby.

"Abby, what are you doing here by yourself?" Addy asked.

"I would be asking the same thing to someone dressed as a business woman instead of being in a preppy dress showing off for this town." Abby said rolling her eyes.

"Excuse me?" Addy replied.

"You heard me. You are a preppy person that has to show off for any woman who walks your path including my own best friend Celeste, ugh. Do you have anything better to do?" Abby responded sarcastically.

"I am not preppy and what in the world is your problem with me? I can't help how I look." Addy replied placing her hands on her hips.

"Just leave this town Addy, no one needs you including the twins. You are worthless to every sight around here." Abby responded without holding back.

"Looks like someone woke up on the wrong side of town, oh well." Addy replied with a smile.

"What do you mean "oh well" I have more reason to be here than you." Abby responded getting pissed off.

"Jealousy doesn't look good on you. Might want to spice that tune up some." Addy replied smirking.

"Go away Addy." Abby responding tossing her book into her purse then walking away.

Addy shrugged her shoulders thinking that she could kiss sweet innocent Abby to make her believe that her jealousy could be solved but then thought better of it when she felt Abby turn her around looking at her like she is ready to attempt something and that moment Abby walked away again shaking her head.

"Abby, if you are going to kiss me then just do it." Addy said egging Abby on.

"Fuck that, you are worthless to even attempt to lay with." Abby replied.

Addy laughed uncontrollably. Knowing well that she hasn't even slept with anyone male or female but as always people assume she's a whore for not sleeping with someone the last person that hurt her badly was Celeste though Celeste admitted she was wrong for doing such a thing. Addy wasn't going to let Abby gets to her so she walked away without Abby stopping her this time as she made her way to the coffee shop with greetings from the other customers and employees, it's a pleasant way to feel in such a low class town to make her feel welcome. Ordering her coffee and finding a place in a far corner by herself seemed like a good low key to hope of finding someone until she saw Harley staring directly at her with a smile on her face. Addy has been trying to avoid Harley but everywhere she turned, she would see Harley and at that moment Harley came over.

"Looks like you did get my message from last night." Harley said.

"Actually, I haven't read any of your fucking emails since you got back to Deborah. I am here to find someone else since you didn't want me." Addy replied.

"I do want you it's just ugh, Deborah has made it hard for me to be near you because she is following my every move and watching what I say. I made an excuse to come here every day so I can speak with you one on one without being at that bar without everyone watching including her. I am in love with you but Deborah would not like me saying that." Harley responded.

"That didn't mean you had to treat me like shit in front of our friends when they knew damn well of how we felt for each other. You really think, I am going to sit here and listen to you lie about that of Deborah supposedly knowing you're every move. For one, no one does that anymore and two, why the fuck would I care what Deborah wants out of you. If you want me that damn bad than leave her otherwise leave me the hell alone and move along." Addy replied with gritted teeth.

Addy watched Harley flinch also back away with a tear running down her face as Addy shook her head, knowing that being with Harley in her own world would have to take a lot more than a woman stalking what Harley does. Addy knows if Harley wants her there is going to be more of getting away from Deborah in this case. Addy took her coffee to the register asking them to place it in a to-go cup because she is ready to just head back to the apartment. Making her way out the door she caught sight of Harley and Deborah fighting, she shook her head then kept on walking past them as Deborah grabbed her by the collar then punched her in the jaw.

"Don't you ever speak to Harley again that is my woman, you hear me?" Deborah said.

Addy could only feel her head swimming and her jaw very sore as she couldn't even respond to Deborah. Addy wanted nothing to do with Harley since she knew they were still dating, she didn't get why Deborah just hit her when there is nothing going on between the two. That is when she felt someone come up and get her off the ground.

"Deborah that was uncalled for come on baby let me get you home." A woman said that Addy couldn't make out the voice.

"Thank you, whoever you are." Addy replied.

She didn't hear a word out of the woman again as she passed out from the hit and her head still kept spinning. At this point she didn't even care about her coffee wherever it went too since it was just a good old fashioned Mocha Frappuccino, a nice and cold one too. She just wanted to rest her head and sleep for a while without a care in the world after that horrible hit. Though she did wonder who is carrying her to the unknown destination she is about to make way for her.
