Christmas day

- One week later: Christmas Day -

Min Ji POV

"Merry Christmas Min Ji!"

I look around surprised to see all of my unnies happily cheering and beckoning me to come over and hug them.

I smile and wish them all a happy Christmas as I move from one unnie to another, hugging them and commenting on their outfits. They've all gone with the traditional Christmas theme of wearing red and green and you have to admit, they look amazing.

"Come on!" Celeste unnie shouts, "Do you want your present or not?"

"Of course I do!" I shout back excitedly as I run over to where Jaemin, Hannah and Somi unnie are all sitting around our very large Christmas tree surrounded by lots and lots of presents.

"Here," Hannah unnie hands over a small pouch. I thank her and tear the wrapping paper open revealing a lovely set of sapphire blue earrings - my favorite color.

"Thank you Hannah unnie," I say happily and you instantly put them on.

Then the others give me my presents. I end up receiving a nice black dress from Celeste unnie, a gift card to one of my favorite stores from Jaemin unnie and a nice scented candle and herbs from Somi unnie which is supposed to cleanse and get rid of any unwanted spirits since Somi unnie is into that kind of stuff.

By the end of my gift giving session, I'm very content with all my new presents and so are my unnies. Since we're all vampires, we don't really have a special vampire Christmas tradition so we all agree on drinking some blood and settling for a funny movie.

Halfway through the movie, I find myself getting a little bored so I excuse myself for a moment to get some fresh air. I walk to our balcony and feel at ease when the cool breeze hits my skin and blows through my hair. I end up staying on the balcony longer than I planned because my mind was very occupied.

You keep thinking back to what happened last week after class:

I looked up and I locked eyes with Natalie, the only openly lesbian at our school, who keeps hitting me. It was common knowledge at our school that I was bisexual but that didn't mean I wanted girls hitting on me left and right. I didn't trust anyone after what happened with my last girlfriend, and Natalie wasn't a first-time offender so I was really annoyed.

I signaled to Celeste unnie to help me and she quickly put on her tough girl persona and yanked Natalie off of me. Natalie got annoyed and tried to punch her. Keyword: Tried. Celeste unnie moved out the way and kicked Natalie in the back. She walked towards Nat and said:

Celeste Unnie: "If I ever see you around Min Ji again, I swear I will break your nose and more if I have too."

Well, that seemed to shut her up I think. I look at Natalie and see her look of surprise and anger as she looks from Celeste unnie to me and says "Watch your back" before slowly getting up and walking away, wincing from the pain.

"You okay?" Celeste unnie asks me. I nod but on the inside, I'm shaking. I hate dealing with Natalie, she never leaves me alone and keeps pestering me. I wish she could just stay away.

Little did I know, watching from the corner is Jungkook who is being restrained by his hyungs. You're like a magnet - he's absolutely drawn to you. It feels like he must protect at whatever cost since you're his mate.

But his hyungs don't want that. They know that a vampire and werewolf can never be together, they just have to get Jungkook to realize that before he falls in too deep.

- Present Day -

I sigh as I recall the memory, wishing it never happened. Suddenly, something catches my eye. Standing right at our doorstep is none other than Jeon Jungkook.

Oh my god.

Very quickly, I run past your unnies ignoring their cries of protests and questions and unlock the front door, slamming it right behind me as I step outside.

"Jungkook? What are you doing here?" I cry out in surprise. Out of all places on Christmas, he's right here. At our doorstep. Why?

"Oh, I...I actually don't know" Jungkook rubs the back of his head whilst staring directly in my eyes.

I can't help but stare back, feeling myself getting lost in them. His gorgeous, deep brown eyes...

"Um...okay?" I reply, still confused.

"I guess I just wanted to say Merry Christmas"

"W-what?"

Jungkook looks down shyly which I don't know why but I find adorably cute.

"You mean to tell me, you left your family, on Christmas and waited in the cold, just to tell me Merry Christmas?" I look at him incredulously.

"Y-yeah..." he shyly stutters. I smile and feel the urge to hug him but I don't know why. He'll probably think I'm a creep for just hugging him out of nowhere so I restrain myself from doing so.

"Do you...want to come inside?" I offer politely. But Jungkook shakes his head and replies "Nah, it's getting late and my hyungs are probably wondering where I am."

"Oh okay"

"Goodbye Min Ji!" he says as he gives me a cute smile which reminds me of a bunny.

"Goodbye Jungkook" I mimic him but as he turns to walk off he quickly adds in, "Sorry I didn't help you when you were having trouble with that girl" before turning back around and making his way back home.

All I can do is stand there in shock as I watch the mysterious said boy make his way home.

"Merry Christmas Jungkook..." I mutter out softly before turning around and walking back inside.
