Chapter 3: Colt's birthday

It's been three months since I've been out of the hospital and my progress with regards to re - gaining my memory is quite slow but I'm getting there. Within these 3 months I've learnt quite a lot about my family, and I've accepted them as my family even though I found it difficult at first. By the way, today is Colt's birthday and I just can't wait to give him his gift. He's been reminding me about his birthday since I got out of the hospital and I'm glad it's finally his day lol.

Flashback to yesterday

It's Colt's birthday tomorrow. Zack and I are on our way to the pet store since I've decided to get him a kitten.

He's been meowing a lot lately and I figured it was his way of asking us to get him a kitten and lucky for him, I got some bucks to spend and I'm going to get him a Lil kitten so that hopefully he'll stop meowing lol.

I'm dressed in grey sweatpants with a maroon hoody while Zack is dressed in his black and white track pants and his black perfect fit hoody just to flex his muscles. You know boys and their ardent obsession of showing off their results from working out lol. We about to walk into the store when Zack's phone rings and I giggle knowing it's my Mum and she's probably worried about me as always.

"Yes Mother, how are you? " Zack replies back waiting for mother's response.

"Please tell me you're with your sister and if you are don't you dare leave her side, you heard? " My mum speaks up without responding to his greeting and I see Zack swot his forehead at my mother's words. He does that quite a lot especially when mother goes straight to the point without asking him how he is before bombarding him with my whereabouts lol. I love that woman loads.

"Yes ma'am, Roger that " he tells my Mum before dropping the phone and looking at me while shaking he's head.

"Give Mum a break, she's just concerned okay plus I'm her only daughter, so it works in my favor don't complain " I quickly cut him off with a sentence he never disputes, and he lifts his hands up in surrender before I flash him my smile and walk to the last isle in the pet shop.

I quickly turn left, and I reach the isle and begin looking through the little cute kittens in the store before I spot the one, I'm getting for Colt. I lift the ginger little kitten up and stroke his fur as he nuzzles in the crook of my neck and just then a painful headache, I could say it's a migraine hits me before I can even have the time to balance my body. Zack is beside me in seconds holding me up as he calls out to me as I hear his faint voice in the background of the surrounding in which I've found myself in.

It's like I drowned into this huge hole of darkness and then the next thing I saw was my mother dressed in her Navy-blue scrubs with her Raven curls placed in a high ponytail as she hands over a ginger cat to the owner I suppose after having checked that the cat is okay.

I snap out of this reverie or snippet I just had, and I finally hear Zack like super loud.

"Waiiibbbaaa , Waii...hey snap out of it. You're, okay?" He keeps repeating the same words and I swot his forehead, " Jeeeez dude can you keep quiet you're making my headache - migraine worse" I tell him.

"What just happened to you? I thought you were going into this crazy fit of some calling you had. I thought perhaps our ancestors were calling you, I'm joking I was getting worried you know " he joked while laughing but then being serious again. I swear I got a goofy retard for a brother, but I love him just like that, just don't tell him I said that.

" Dude, I had this sudden migraine and then I fell into this huge hole of darkness before seeing Mum hand over a ginger cat exactly like this little buddy to the owner and I think I remember Mum works at a vet, right?" I tell him and he gives me this goofy grin before retrieving his phone from his pocket and dialing away.

" Zack, everything okay? " My mum asks him.

" Yes, mother just called to say that Wai's getting her memory back. She remembered Mum works at a Vet. " I shake my head at his childish actions.

" Yayyyyyyy, my baby remembered me first " I hear my mum scream in joy on the other end. " Get home quickly, I wanna see my baby " my Mum spoils the moment by only mentioning me.

" Yes yes , "YOUR OVERGROWN BABY " is on her way home " Zack retorts back and I just laugh. He seriously is one of the craziest and most goofy people I've come known.

We paid for the kitten and even got him a box while Zack said he already had Colt's gift and so we headed home to our beloved mother and little Man.

We just sang for Colt and now it's gift timeee.

Mum got Colt the recent Teken PSP game that he's been wanting to have, a set of casual clothing and grey and black sneakers.

" Thank you Mummy " Colt gave mum a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

I gave him his blue ribboned box with tiny holes for air and he quickly opened the top to retrieve its contents. " Woahhhh Iba you're definitely the best " he gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek as well.

"Colt what are you going to name kitty?" I asked him and he blurted out the answer before even thinking about the answer.

"GINGERRRR! " He replied while dragging the last vocals and we all laughed knowing why he named the kitten ginger besides its obvious ginger color.

The boy lives on Ginger biscuits. He loves loving them so much that if you wanted to send him to get you something and you happened to mention ginger biscuits, he would leave everything else it is that he was doing and rush to get you whatever you sent him to get.

He's such a whole mood. Now it was time for Zack to gift Colt and you won't believe what he got him.

" Here's your gift buddy but I don't want you kiss on my cheek, a high five will do " Zack spoke and Colt laughed.

" You don't deserve a kiss, only Wai and Mum do " this time my mum and I laughed while Zack glared at us.

"Zack, you seriously got him boxers, he's just a 5-year-old dude " I voiced out my words after staring at Zack in disbelief.

" Heyyy , his going to grow in those and besides he needs to stop hanging out with me and my friends. He can only do so when he gets to the age of wearing those and stop sneaking into my room to steal from my collection buddy " Zack told Colt, and I just Shaked my head at his crazy logic.

" Dooofuss " I called him, and he replied by sticking his tongue out at me and just like that the day went by. Believe me, when you spend time with your loved ones, times just flies.

Chapter 3 done. I love ginger biscuits tooo sooo Colt is my new fav character. He's just too cute. Zack on the other end is really crazy and maturity does come with experience lol.
