Galahad raised his shield to the front with his left hand and lowered Arondight in his right hand, he had no experience in this matter but it was almost as if those movements and techniques were ingrained into his body, this was because he possessed the skills of Galahad as well. The Tiger lunged at him, but quick to respond he smashed his shield into it's face before shoving it aside and with one quick strike cutting it's head clean off.
Blood gushed out of the creature some of it falling on his white hair dyeing it red but he quickly cleaned it, he wasn't a fan of such actions this was necessary for his survival. Looking at the dead creature sprawled on the ground dirtying the grass with it's blood Galahad sighed and clenched his fist, "Yup...nothing there's nothing. Sigh... I wanted to try Sloth." He felt nothing from that kill, coming to this world really had changed him.
Walking for several hours he came across a dirt road with obvious signs of movement on it, crouching down and closely looking at it, he noticed they were wheel marks and footsteps, he whistled apparently these guys invented wheels before Earth did. Nodding to himself he stood up and started walking in the direction of general movement, "Sigh.....If only *Yawn* there was a carriage or something around here."
Yawning he stretched his arms and kept walking while slightly hunched over, he contemplated just lying down here and waiting for a passing carriage. He decided to do just that and lay down in the middle of the road. A few minutes later a carriage carrying goods did indeed pass through but seeing him lying on the road, the driver shouted, "Hey kid! Get out of the way!"
Galahad slightly raised his head to look at the man before standing up and walking over to him, "Can you throw me in the back too?" The man stared at him stupefied, "What?" Galahad signaled to the back, "Throw me...in?" The man angrily shouted at him, "Was that what you were there for?!" Galahad in response nodded, "I can pay...I Think." The man took a moment to inspect Galahad, his armor was quite elegant and the young man himself was very attractive, surely he was from some rich family.
The man being a trader by profession would jump at any opportunities to earn money and his eyes twinkled in Greed, "The next town over is quite far how does two gold sound?" Galahad stared at him in disbelief, he was someone who had read and remembered every single detail of Tensura, this guy wanted a $1000 for one ride! "What sort of idiot do you take me for?" Galahad questioned him walking to the back of the carriage.
"I'm going to give you 15-25 silver and that's it." Galahad said getting in, resting his head in his hands and lying back. "50 and you have a deal." the man quickly said already realizing his mistake. Galahad nodded at him and dozed off while thinking about how he would come up with the money, and the opportunity presented itself! The most generic damn event in a fantasy world you could have, The Bandit Raid!
Several men with iron swords surrounded the carriage causing the driver to panic, he was going to be robbed and may lose his life as well! Galahad who fell over from the abrupt stop, rubbed his eyes and got out his shield had gone to God knows where, all he knew was that he could dissipate it he didn't need to know where it went during that time, it was probably bound to his soul or something but he was too lazy to further investigate it.
He tapped the driver's shoulder, "Will you take me there for free if I deal with them?" his two swords holstered on the right side not on either since this was much more convenient. Walking to the front one of the bandits remarked, "Oh look a pretty boy!" Galahad glanced at him from the corner of his eyes. Another one licked his lips, "Hey boss can I have him?!" Galahad shuddered as son as he heard that, the fuck was wrong with these people?!
He signaled towards someone Galahad presumed to be their leader and a man walked forward, "Surrender everything you got and you live! If you don't-" the man licked his sword, "I don't need to tell you." Galahad didn't move rather he straightened up and his eyes opened wide, it was combat time. One of the men who had cleaver on his shoulder walked to Galahad, "Oh look a hero!"
He yawned, " *Yawned* Do you have a poll or something going for how cliche someone can be? I'm sparing you leave just let me catch some sleep." seeing that the man just ignored him and tried to slash his head off with the cleaver. Galahad raised his hand, his gauntlet blocking the strike before punching the man in the chest, causing it to cave in killing him on the spot.
The other bandits seeing their dead comrade shouted in rage and charged at Galahad, he quickly gazed at each and every single one of them, already having combat experience from his previous job and now the experience of Sir Galahad as well, some bandits besting him in close quarters wasn't even a pipe dream. Grabbing the sword coming down on his head he snapped it in two before shoving the two pieces into the necks of two men. He stepped to the side dodging a spear, in one quick motion he grabbed it and spun around throwing it right back at the bandit piercing his chest killing him.
Four men dead, twelve remained a man recklessly charged at him with axe in hand, Galahad yawned and vanished appearing next to the man punching him in the face, his hand goin through the skull. He grabbed his axe and threw it at another lodging it in his head. He looked up staring at the hidden man? surprising them as they quickly jumped at him with two daggers in hand. Galahad yawned again and put one hand up as their face fell straight into his hand. He crushed it in his hand killing them right there, narrowing his eyes he noticed it was a woman.
Shrugging to himself, he brought out Arondight as it gave of a blue hue and in one quick swipe he cut most of the bandits in half their bodies falling apart as blood gushed out, a very brutal scene but then again fights like these were always brutal much more than what the movies made them out to be. 14 men dead only one left alive, the leader who had fallen on his butt and was shivering in fear. Galahad calmly gazed at him, "S-Spare m-" before he could finish a dagger was lodged in his head killing him there.
Walking back in to the carriage, Galahad muttered, "You should've thought about that before. Revenge Arcs are...Inefficient." Lying down once again dozing off as the driver stared at him mildly afraid not that much though because he had previously seen such scenes happen. Such was the way of this world, the strong devour the weak.
