Violet

Violet and Rin turned kept on turning left then right and again and again. Finally, they could no longer hear the queen or any footsteps for that matter.

They stopped in a hallway to catch their breath. Rin turned to Violet and asked," Why were we running? And who was chasing us?"

Violet, realizing that Rin had not seen the queen, said," I didn't want to get caught and I also wanted to talk to you more so I ran with you. Anyways, could you please hide me?"

Rin, thinking that this was suspicious, said," Sure, sure. But where can we hide?" Violet replied," Keep on going and going around the castle?" Rin said," Until we find a good place to hide."

Violet agreed with Rin's suggestion. And so the duo walked and walked, getting themselves more lost. After a few hours of walking and talking, Rin and Violet were hungry and thirsty. Lunch had long passed. Finally, they reached the kitchen.

The maids did not know Violet but were aware of Rin. They were given orders that if they see Rin with another girl, they had to bring them to the king and queen immediately. And so, Rin and Violet let themselves get captured in exchange for food and water. They ate and drank along the way.

When they reached the throne room, they had finished eating. The Royal family was there with Rin's family. They all looked anxious. However when they saw Rin and Violet, they felt relief.

There was a doctor on standby who immediately checked Rin and Violet. To his surprise, they were not harmed. Rin looked on at this process, confused and turned to the king for an explanation.

" Violet move away from Rin," said the king sternly. Violet refused and clung onto Rin's arm. This action surprised everyone in the room. Rin patted Violet's head and said to her," Violet, do as the king says, okay?" Violet looked at Rin and slowly let go while pouting. When Violet was obedient, the royal family thought that they were going to faint.

The king asked," Rin, how did you get Violet to listen to you?" Rin turn to look at the king and answered him with a question," Why is everyone looking at me weirdly?"

" You see, Violet is my daughter and the reason why we kept her from everyone was because she easily gets angry and hurts everyone around her, even the queen and me. But surprisingly, she doesn't hurt you.She also doesn't listen to anyone except for you. And most of the time, Violet runs away from the room which we keep her in to avoid injuries. Only the royal family and a few maids know of her." explained the king.

After hearing the king's explanation, Rin looked at Violet and only saw the Violet that she meet. She had no idea that Violet could do such a thing. " I don't believe you. Violet won't do such a thing." said Rin as she folded her arms.

She, then, turned to Violet and asked," Why didn't you tell me that you were a princess?"

Violet replied," I had no idea that my parents were the king and queen. I mean they always said that I was a princess and I was to behave like one but I always thought that they were lying or saying that I was their princess."

The king, realizing that Rin could bring miracles, dismissed everybody. The queen wanted to take Violet back to her own room but she refused and followed Rin instead.

When Violet saw Hero, she squeaked with joy at the dog. She immediately ran towards Hero. Hero, scared by the girl, ran away from Violet. Rin, seeing the scene, laughed as it was the first time Hero had shown fear. Unfortunately for Hero, Violet soon caught him as there was not much room for him to run. She hugged Hero tightly. Hero turned to Rin to ask for help but Rin turned away when she saw Hero looking at her. Hero looked at Rin with his puppy eyes. However, Rin didn't even glanced at him.

Saddened by the betrayal, Hero looked down.
