Section 406 - Abdication

Compared to the former Clan Leader Bassan, who generally had a lackluster presence, the arrival of the brutal Clan Leader—ascending to power over the corpses of the Supreme Council's elders—issued an order that brought all Neanderthal witch doctors from around the world back to the reservation. Along with two embarrassingly incompetent apprentices of the reservation witch doctor, Liese Nan, at least fifty or sixty people worked in three shifts, non-stop, for nearly half a month. Finally, on the fifteenth day after Bassan and two others were poisoned, the first batch of antidote was painstakingly produced and delivered into Chen Fei's trembling hands.

The individuals who had labored so hard to create the antidote were a group of greenhorns; they had already exerted their utmost efforts. Yet before the actual detoxification, their hearts all simultaneously rose to their throats in anxiety.
