Monster encounter

After the explanations were given everybody was separate with their own teams and put in random places in the area. Jake was currently having a nice chat with his new teammates!

"So.. your names are Debra and Flin right?"

Flin just pretended like he didn't say anything, this created a weird feeling in the room between Jake and Flin. Debra however just nodded with a smile and confirmed Jake's name as a response.

"So.. plant monsters.. yeah.." Jake said awkwardly. Debra shrugged her shoulders and Flin continued to look into the distance like a cold hearted bad-a**

".."

What am I supposed to do? I have little to no social skills.. I've only ever played League and a few other games..

As Jake was feeling dejected he reluctantly gave it one final shot.

"Well I guess we should get to finding this monster now right? ahaha.. hah.."

Flin looked down upon Jake and scoffed.

"This isn't a playground kid. Leave before you lose your life."

"Uhm.. hello? You're kind of an idiot. I already signed up and I can't even leave a TRAINING. It's clear to me why you joined the army now.. you're as dumb as rocks!" Jake angrily replied, Flin just looked the other way once more and ignored him.

CRAAASH

What was that? Did a team find the monster?

As Jake was thinking these thoughts one of the soldiers he had seen at the lineup was flung into a tree right beside Jake! His organs were piling out of his body, dribbling blood downward, oozing acid from his stomach.

Jake then puked.. directly into the man's now open stomach. Debra laughed at the scene.

Screaming could be heard off in the distance as the unknown soldier's body started to morph.. and eventually.. it turned into a tree!

The base of the tree was made of flesh, there was an opening in the middle for the man's still beating heart, protruding outward at the top were branches made of bones and the leaves were made of teeth. There was still some of Jake's puke covered within the tree.

The three of them just looked at it with wide eyes in shock. They thought they had prepared for this job but to see someone die and be disfigured to this extent.. it was truly nauseating.

As the three of them regained their focus they heard trees break and looked in the direction to watch the trees fall downward and break, a female warrior was pushed back into them. She was still alive but heavily wounded it seemed, she was breathing heavily as she was quite exhausted.

"RUN! SOMEBODY HELP! WE HAVE TO FINISH IT OFF AS A GROUP!" The female yelled out in an attempt to survive.. only to shift into a tree just as the male had.

Quickly running towards the monster the instructor went as the general watched.

"Training is cancelled! The monster was stronger than it was supposed to be! Everybody exit the-" Before the instructor could finish.. he was cut off.. by the neck. His two split body parts both shifted into trees. His head was a small sapling with his eyeballs in the middle, they occasionally looked around as if it was alive.

"HAHAHA! You stupid brats! You will fuel me.. you will become apart of me!" The monster yelled out in a frenzy. Jake just looked towards the instructor..

I guess I'm not going to be getting my reward now..
