The two old friends separated after a bit of small talk, with Ethan's handshake with Naia lingering a bit. Leon sent him a glare and he smiled, raising his hand.
Then Ethan even dared give Naia his calling card!
Still, Leon wrapped his arm around Naia's shoulder protectively and it couldn't help but make Ethan chuckle.
However, his smile had always been unreadable, and at this time it was a little unnerving to Leon.
"It's completely professional," he said with a smile. "I promise not to call when I'm not needed.
"It's good to have someone who knows the law always at your beck and call, right?"
Leon's eyes twitched, but other than his possessiveness, he really couldn't find fault in it.
Naia really knew very little about this world, let alone something complicated like the law! Leon himself wasn't confident in reading contracts at all. It would indeed be convenient for Naia to have someone knowledgeable to readily give advice.
