Back Up
Shit! The cold air burns my face and eyes as I begin to fall down several stories. I grit my teeth as pull on the chain around my neck one last time in desperation but just like before, it doesn't budge. I look at the fast-approaching ground with fear.
Maybe my blood will save me? I think desperately but I nearly laugh at myself. I'd still need to be in one piece and with a beating heart for it to work! If I hit the ground from this height and speed... I'll be mush! [Leo! You better leave while you still can!] I yell out to him in my head.
Leo snorts and says [I already told you... if you die, I die. If you live, then I live!] Suddenly a burning sensation lights up my back as huge blue-black wings sprout out. The wings expand to over three times my size, instantly catching the wind and slowing me down.
