Rather than succumb to the depths of despair caused by heartbreak, Elina declared, "I would prefer to undergo IVF and embrace a lifetime as a single mother than suffer a demise fueled by depression." Chapter sixteen

Skylar arose from the bed, her countenance transformed as she recollected the reverie she had experienced earlier. She was perplexed, sensing that this was not the initial occurrence of such a dream, yet entertaining such thoughts would brand her as unhinged. She exited the room, shuddering at the creepiness it held, and checked the time - it was already afternoon. Her mind drifted to how she ended up in Prince Ramiel's domain. What had transpired? It all seemed bizarre, but then again, she couldn't expect anything less in a foreign world. Her thoughts then wandered to Prince Derek, and how Ramiel had mentioned the devil's name. Did he mean Derek? Shaking her head, she refused to delve deeper into this disturbing subject.

A knock at the door drew her attention, a rare occurrence as Ramiel never bothered to knock. Could it be Prince Derek? She remembered Ramiel's assurance of her protection while she was here. Summoning her courage, she approached the door and opened it, to find Prince Arya standing there. A smile lit up Skylar's face, mirroring Arya's own pleasant expression.

"Your Highness," Skylar greeted with a respectful bow.

"Please, spare formalities. May I come in?" Arya asked politely.

"Of course," Skylar replied, stepping aside to let Arya in before closing the door. Arya took a seat on a cushion, while Skylar stood beside her.

"Please have a seat," Arya gestured.

"It's unnecessary, Your Highness," Skylar hesitated.

"I have something important to discuss with you," Arya persisted. Skylar sensed the gravity in her tone and took a seat, hoping that everything was alright.

"Is something wrong, Your Highness?" she inquired, a note of concern in her voice.

"Yes, Skylar. I simply have a request to make of you," Arya said, taking her hand.

"Alright," Skylar acquiesced hesitantly.

"There are many peculiar things in this world, and in time, you will come to learn more about them. What I ask of you now is to always stay by Ramiel's side. If you let go of him, all hell will break loose. Remember, he is your Master," Arya said with her eyes pleading, Skylar held her hand in return and smiled.

"You don't have to worry, despise he's rude and thinks he has no humanity makes me eager to know more about him" Skylar said with a sincere smile.

"You would get to know the truth with time and when you do, do not give up" Arya said as she stood up "I'll be leaving now go attend to him before he gives you a deadly punishment, because he has little humanity in him and it keeps flickering" Arya teased which made Skylar laughed a little.

"Yes your highness"

•••••••

Skylar knocked lightly on the library door, gracefully carrying a tray of orange juice in one hand. Upon receiving no response, she made the decision to enter, and found Ramiel seated inside. He was dressed simply, in plain trousers and an unbuttoned bogos shirt that revealed just enough skin to make him look irresistibly attractive. One long leg was crossed over the other, exuding a sense of confident ease. His striking milk-colored blonde hair was slightly unkempt, only adding to his appeal. Skylar couldn't help but admire his handsome features as they were bathed in the soft glow of the reading lamp.

With his nose buried in a book, Ramiel was completely oblivious to her presence. A pair of stylish glasses adorned his face, lending him an air of sophistication and intelligence. His sharp cheekbones and strong jawline were highlighted in the warm light, drawing Skylar's gaze even further.

"Are you finished?"

Ramiel finally spoke up, not lifting his gaze from the pages. Skylar felt her cheeks flush at being caught staring. She scolded herself for being so reckless as to admire this handsome man, especially when he

had sought her help to find his lover. She must be losing her mind.

"Y-your highness" she stammered, placing the drink on the

table. She couldn't help but wonder

why, despite his disheveled appearance, Ramiel seemed to be glowing. She concluded that it must be because of her shameful incident. It was the only logical reason.

Ramiel glanced up from his book to look at the glass of juice, then back at her. He set the book down, taking a sip from the glass.

"Just one glass?" he commented, looking at her with a hint of disapproval. Skylar couldn't believe her eyes. Was this man really judging her for being stingy, cause he probably looks like one

"Would you like me to make another one?" she asked, genuinely confused.

"Forget it,"

Ramiel said, dismissing the idea. Skylar nodded, feeling unbothered . She watched as he downed the juice in one big gulp, then looked up at her.

"Tastes awful," he commented, making a face. Skylar couldn't help but laugh at his dramatic reaction.

"You don't have to force yourself to drink it," she teased, trying to lighten the mood. Ramiel smirked, looking at her with amusement.

You don't have to make me feel okay by drinking it all" she teased , Ramiel smirked then looked at her

"I guess because you aren't from the world that's why your this bold, I'll soon pluck out your lips if it possible"he threatened.

"If I was this bold I wouldn't be here, I wouldn't stay in bar as if my life depends on a string" she said with a sad tone.

"You were giving a second chance to act bold and courageous towards me" he said amazed

"And also protect you" she said with a smile

"Protect me," he taunted, "look who's talking you fainted the first day we me without me even lifting a finger on the first day we met."

She retorted, "I was once a fragile and naive girl, but not anymore. I'll protect you. Did you not see the way I responded to Prince Derek? If it were possible for him to kill me, he would have done so without hesitation."

"Who protected you?"

he inquired, to which she replied,

"You have a deadly aura and a killing gaze, while I am merely a chatterbox. I shall handle the talking. Have you not witnessed people dying from painful words? Oh, it does not happen here."

"It does," he smirked, eyeing her with great interest.

"Perhaps you should be searching for someone to marry. What about your brothers? No, it's impossible. Your

Father seems to favor you for the throne.

How lucky for you," she said in  envious tone, causing Ramiel

to chuckle

"Come closer, Skylar," he beckoned, noticing her hesitation.
