SIGMA: The Rise of a New Era

Are you ready to embark on a new adventure to a high school campus with teen werewolves, where the competition is not between Alpha and Alpha for the territory, but an Alpha and a Sigma- or are they even competitors? David Matthew, the Alpha-in-training of the Eclipse Pack has been preparing to take over the leadership of his pack and over the disputed Crescent territory by fighting his prime enemies- the Alphas of the Orion and Moon packs. But his expectations are largely subverted when he finally comes face-to-face with the rumoured Alpha of the Moon pack for the first time, Nora Rovery. _ Nora Rovery has led a mostly secluded life uptil now- scorned by her father, disregarded by her mother and her existence largely hidden from the public eye, under a carefully-crafted web of lies. She has understandably set high hopes for her first day at the new high school- which promptly seems like a bad idea within the first thirty seconds of encountering the school bully, David Matthew. Come along on this ride with David and Nora, who are born to be enemies, but end up forging their own path, true to their rebel spirits.

Bail out!

"If this is the case that you don't trust us anymore, then I also have a question for you Francisco. Do you currently have any other option, apart from accepting this proposal? And if yes, then please enlighten me to this option as well -"

Carl spoke, finally confronting Francisco in the same manner as him. He was showing him the reality of this situation, knowing fully well that he was the only obstacle in his way of getting what he wanted. However, Carl's efforts at making him back off were interrupted by his own son, who spoke up when he saw things getting heated between the two Alphas.

"I am sorry dad, but I have something to say. I know uncle Francisco doesn't particularly like me, nor does his son. But we are not here to talk about you two! Rather, we are here to talk about Nora, and to discuss the option that she can take my palace. And subsequently, I shall be shifting in the dorms because of the clause that mandates no student can stay at their houses, but they can live in the dorm, and I am ready to stay there."

Ryan spoke in an eager voice, bringing attention back to the proposal. He knew that if he did not do this now, then it was going to be extremely late; these adults were going to fight on their own points, completely ignoring the real one.

After making his first statement and confirming that the previous topic had been abandoned, he took a momentary pause before speaking again.

"And I think the further we drag this discussion, the more she will have to suffer. I have heard that there is a lower rank wolf already living in the dorm that has been assigned to Nora, and I don't want her to suffer any more than she has already tolerated. After all, she has become a good friend of mine."

The statement was enough to push Francisco into re- evaluating all his decisions, while Frederick was at ease even with the conflicting emotions of concern and relaxation. Because as far as he had guessed about Ryan, he knew that this boy was more ambitious than his father, and not to mention, more intelligent as well! All this strengthened his potential to be a worthy and valuable asset to him, and Frederick knew he needed to make full use of this opportunity. Deciding thus, he spoke, not willing to waste any single minute in solidifying this brilliant idea.

"I think you are right, Ryan. When it comes to my daughter, I am ready to put everything on hold. And when I say everything, then I mean it; because nothing is more important to me than my dear daughter Nora. I don't know about anyone else, but I am ready to do whatever it takes to make the life of my daughter comfortable."

By the time Nora could have gotten the chance to say something, they had already reached near the crafting area of the city. And the funniest fact was that Nora was trying to identify each and every person sitting there, until Robin himself took the initiative to speak.

"They aren't human, they are human stuffed bodies made by magic, to have realistic structures-"

"Robin, why did you ask me to follow you, and more importantly, why did you drag Nora here with you? Weren't you aware that she needed to unpack her luggage and settle down in the room -"

Before Robin could have used the opportunity to talk and narrate the details of those illusions present there, Myron's sharp voice cut him off, who had appeared there in no time after they had stopped, and presented his question.

Apparently, justice was being swiftly delivered that day, because in the middle of Myron's questions, rang in the tinkling sound of Nora's laughter. Without saying a single word, she had started to laugh really loudly, making both of them confused. Neither of them could hold their laughter for long, either, as it was the first time they had seen her laughing so wholeheartedly. They joined in on her laughter, and it was Robin who returned to his serious self first, determined to do the same to the other two.

"Okay, okay !! I guess we have successfully completed the daily quota of our laughter for the day. And if yes, then tell me, what were you trying to say at that point of time?"

Nora also paused after Robin stopped laughing and handed her the task of answering his question. She knew that even though she had been laughing at the situation, it did not mean that she would never have to get serious again.

Just because they had just run away from the scene where they were supposed to answer two people waiting earnestly for her response, and were now standing somewhere that was completely unknown to her, the problem because of which she had dashed out of the dorm building had not gone anywhere; it was still very real and still right there.

She also knew that there was going to be no way out if she didn't find her father, and for that, she would be needing help.

Remembering and organising every thought in her mind within no time, she finally spoke up.

"Robin ! Can you take me to my house, I need to meet my father as -"

"Take you to your house ? Nora, don't tell me you are not familiar with the rules, too! You can come to the hostel anytime you want and in any way - like, with someone or by yourself. But once you need to leave the campus, you aren't allowed to do that without your parents. In order for me to take you to your home, I would also be needing my guardian here to bail me out of this jail you were so eager to come to, in the first place."

"But I like this, and if I wasn't in deep into the problem I would never have asked you this favour."

Nora once again interrupted Robin and spoke, but as soon as she ended her explanation, Robin replied with a knowing nod ;

"So in this case, I have a solution for you."
