Thanks to the "Benevolence" of the third. With Hiruzen's help, Jin managed to gain some degree of independence from the Kurama clan. Now he lives in a small "Naruto style" apartment with a meager monthly allowance. Obtaining this independence was a messy affair and compromises had to be made. If Any of Jin's childrens in the future had an aptitude for Kurama clan's Bloodline, they will be taken in by the clan. On the surface Jin agreed, but in true the transmigrator is already thinking of multiple ways to screw those assholes over. By the time Jin would have childrens, the clan is as good as gone according to cannon. All will be thanks to Yakumo.

Now that the Kurama clan is no longer a concern for the time being, Jin can now focus on the things that are really important.

The little amount of allowance is barely enough to pay the rent and feed a stray cat. So, it is Jin's absolute priority to obtain money. Since that stingy shit flinger wouldn't give Jin a ryo more than necessary. That's why Jin is now infront of this random weapon shop five minutes away from his appartment.

"Let me get this straight, you want to work here because you want to one day forge your own weapon?" The burly black Smith asked. 'And money.' Jin kept the thought to himself. With his "• Weapon crafting talent"perk. Jin is confident that he would be able to have a stable income. Some time ago, Jin tested his"• Weapon crafting talent" by sharpening a piece of wood into a useable kunai. The quality of the wooden kunai was obviously not no par with the real thing, but Jin managed to use the wooden weapon he crafted to peel off the skin of an apple with relative ease. By this logic, the weapons Jin makes would be superior in quality once he is able to start working in the forge.

"Well lass, it's a tedious task that you are putting on your shoulders, but I'm not complaining if you want to work here. besides, I have a feeling you and my son will get along well." The weapon Smith shrugged and held out a hand. "Welcome to higurashi Weapon shop, lass. Name's Toujiya."

'To think I was able to come across this place that will one day become the nest of the infamous weapon hamster gal. Well, I would have an adorable kouhai to look forward to.' Jin thought to himself.

For Jin, working at Higurashi weapon shop is indeed tedious as Toujiya said. But the benefits in return from working as a smith-helper compensates his bone grinding effort more than enough. In the past weeks, Jin hadn't actually produced any weapons on his own. Toujiya did show Jin the basics on how to make shurikens after a few days. Since ninja's often loose a few of those during missions and were never able to retrieve every shuriken they threw or simply didn't have the luxury to do so. Most of the time, instead of forging Ninjato or katanas, the main focus of Higurashi weapon shop is to always have a full stock of shurikens for the ninjas of konoha to restock on. The same goes for kunais.

After some trials and errors, Jin had become tasked with sharpening shurikens and kunais, the maintenance of worn equipments and cleaning of the workshop area. Toujiya was a very understanding person despite his rough appearance. Knowing Jin's situation regarding his meager allowance, Toujiya made sure that Jin is paid enough for his work.

In Jin's previous life, working for money at the age of 5 and a half would be considered as child labor. Since children mature faster in the shinobi world and the influence of chakra. Children in the shinobi world usually mature much more faster out of necessity. Additionally thanks to Jin's senju blood flowing through his veins, Jin was able to handle the working lifestyle far better than most childrens his age.

Speaking of childrens Jin's age. Toujiya's son, Retsu Higurashi was quite easy to get along with. At first, Retsu was intimidated by Jin's perk "• Intimidating presence". Since both physically and mentally Jin is considered "stronger" than Retsu. After some time has past, Retsu was able to get used to Jin's presence, since Jin himself had no ill intention towards Retsu and the two became friends. Like Toujiya, Retsu was also an easy going person.
