Chapter 52 -- What have we got here ?

"So you take two and I take two right ?" Adam casually asked as he cracked his fingers. The four guards in front of them where all in the first rank , it would take just a wave of Lex or Adam's hand to kill them all.

"What! hell no we are not fighting them " Lex immediately refused. It should be pointed out that they where not even whispering. However they had made their voices deeper, it was obvious to the guards that they changed their voices though, but at least this way the guards won't know how they really sound like.

"Ohh come on David why not" Adam asked. Purposely calling Lex with the wrong name.

"Because look at how weak they are! , we could kill them by mistake" Lex answered.

"Mmm you are kinda right. So we will just walk out then right?" Adam said

"Yes but first i have a question for them. How did you find us?" Lex asked the guards. Who were looking at the twins with wide eyes. They couldn't believe what they were hearing. No one would be this casual when facing jail time , and judging their height, these where just kids.

Suddenly the four guards starting laughing hysterically as they clutched their stomachs. Some even lost their grip on their weapons. In a room inside the the same station, a police officer with a different uniform watched this scene through a computer monitor. 'What the hell are they doing?' he thought.

"You know what, you kids are really funny. I haven't laughed like that in months. Because he entertained me and the boys for a little bit i will answer your question. The whole station is surrounded by cameras, of which we check the footage every 15 minutes." Sam smugly said.

Lex and Adam both slapped their heads in embarrassment. It seemed quite obvious that there would be surveillance cameras.

"Ohhhh yeah how didn't we think of that" Adam exclaimed.

"Enough jokes come with us, you will spend some time in a cell while we call your parents" Said Sam.

Lex seemed to suddenly get angry, but then he realized that those feeling where not his.

"Don't do it , it's not worth it " Lex said as he held Adam's shoulder he could feel that Adam's temperature was rising, however he calmed down moments later.

"Let's get out of here " Adam said as they started to walk towards the gate, not even taking into account the four guards standing in their way. The duo just walked without a care in the world.

"Hey stop!"

"Don't make us use these!"

"Alright you asked for it!"

One of the guards suddenly struck Lex in the head with the shock button stick aiming to knock him out. They felt like these kids had disrespected them enough.

However to the guards' absolute astonishment, as soon as his weapon touched Lex's head it just....broke. The guard thought his button stick was faulty and went in for a punch, which cleanly connected on Adam's face, but still.... nothing. The boy's face didn't even move a millimeter.

The guards then recalled the conversation the two boys in front if them had. They had talked about not wanting to attack the officers because of the fear of accidentally killing them. Cold sweat came out of them as they started wondering if those words where actually true, but that would be impossible, the only way that could be was if-----

"You idiots" a voice suddenly shouted from the side "those two are Cultivators!" Lex and Adam narrowed eyes at that sight and simultaneously stopped their advance as the rank two Head guard blocked their way.

"Let us go and we won't hurt you" Lex said to the rank two Cultivator. However the Head guard didn't answer and just took out a pair of nunchucks hanging from his waist. They seemed to be beast equipment as a layer of earth suddenly rose from the ground and coated the weapon.

"Huh you would think cops would have guns" Adam commented as he and Lex both took fighting stances. The boys couldn't use their powers as they had been here the day before. Two boys with a fire aptitude left the station angry and then the next day the station gets broken into by two boys with a fire aptitude as well. It wouldn't take the police long to connect the dots.

"You know the plan" Lex said as the Head guard charged at them while making fancy moves with his nunchucks. The Head guard wasn't afraid of fighting two Cultivators at once as it was pretty obvious these two where very young. As they where very young, they could not have been at the second rank for long. So compared to him with his 50 years of experience in the second rank, these kids didn't stand a chance.

Adam nodded to Lex's reminder as they also dashed in the direction of the Head guard. When they where close enough to their enemy Lex suddenly released a low roar. It was only loud enough for Adam and the Head guard to hear.

The Head guard suddenly stumbled and almost fell to the ground but supported himself with his hands. That was enough for Lex and Adam to just run around him and jump over the gate in one leap.

"When are you gonna teach me that skill? " Adam asked Lex as they took off the black clothing and changed into regular clothes from their Inventory. Lex had just told Adam about the [Roar] skill he had used on the rank two guard.

"I will teach you sometime. It's quite useful huh?" Lex replied

"Yeah it's useful, even though i would have preferred to fight" Adam complained.

"I know but fighting could have been too risky. I don't believe we would have lost but anything could happen which could have made our lives harder"

The sun was rising on the horizon, signaling the start of Sunday. The boys decided to go to Lex's dorm room and sleep for a while.

Meanwhile back at the police station.

"I can't believe I hired idiots such as yourselves!" the head guard shouted at his four guards. The guards wanted to complain and say that it was not their fault but they couldn't talk back to their superior.

The head guard also knew that it was not their fault but needed someone to blame.

"Sam did they steal anything ?" he asked

"No sir"

"Then what where they doing in here ?" The head guard asked. The station had cameras outside but no cameras inside the building.

"We believe they where in the IT room sir. It was the only room unlocked" Sam answered. The head guard wanted to ask why the room was not locked in the first place but just decided what's done is done now they just had to figure out what those Cultivators wanted.

The head guard, along with Sam and the newbie went to the IT room to maybe find some clues.

"This chair is out of place, why? " he asked as soon as they entered

"I used that computer to email the proposal for the new task force sir " Sam replied.

"New kid, switch on that computer " the head guard ordered and the newbie quickly complied. It only took a few seconds for the computer to boot up after entering the password.

"Well well well, what have we got here ?"
