Now

"Hey, Daniel, can I tell you something?" Chris said, his eyes fixed on the road ahead.

"Sure, what's up?" I replied, my mind still reeling from the events of the previous day.

"I know why we couldn't track Samson down yesterday," Chris said, his voice low and serious.

"Yeah, I already knew," I said, my eyes narrowing. "He hacked our satellite map app."

Chris's expression turned incredulous. "How did you know?"

"Because he sent me his exact location," I said, my voice laced with a hint of irony.

Chris shook his head. "Daniel, I can't believe you went in alone. We had valuable information that could have taken him down with a whole SWAT team."

I sighed, feeling a pang of regret. "I trusted my abilities, Chris. I thought I could take him down."

Chris's eyes widened. "But Samson...he's not just anyone. He has herculean strength, and he's brutal. He knows combat tactics, including acupuncture."

I shuddered at the memory. "I still can't believe it. Who weaponizes acupuncture points to cripple their enemies?"

Chris's expression turned thoughtful. "If Samson wanted you dead, he would have achieved it. But I'm baffled about why he left you alive."

I hesitated before revealing the surprise visit from Mrs. Deli. Chris's eyes lit up with recognition.

"Wait, I remember! I had some important news to tell you about Mrs. Deli."

Just then, the satellite tech app beeped, indicating that Samson had been located. Chris's eyes locked onto the screen, and his expression turned serious.

"Daniel, Samson is at Mrs. Deli's house right now."

I snapped into a frenzy, my mind racing with thoughts of redemption. "Turn the car around, Chris! We need to go there now!"

Chris tried to reason with me. "Let's call for backup first, Daniel. We can't take him down alone."

But I was resolute. "No, Chris. Samson would be gone before anyone arrived. The police sirens would alert him, and he has superhuman abilities like me. No mere human can handle him without risking their life. And I've faced him before, so this time I'm ready. It's my redemption fight, my iconic second round against the powerful Master Samson. And this time, I'm only leaving with a technical knockout."

In the serene neighborhood where Mrs. Deli lived, a picturesque sunset unfolded beyond the horizon. Samson emerged from her house, unaware of the chaos that was about to ensue. A car suddenly appeared out of nowhere, hitting him with a brutal head-on collision. He was sent flying, crashing into Mrs. Deli's fence. Out of the car emerged Chris and I, the perpetrators of this heinous act.

We had come prepared, determined to give it our all and take down the formidable Samson. We waited for him to rise to his feet, then pulled out our guns and fired simultaneously. Two bullets hit Samson, aimed to seriously wound him, but I needed him alive for interrogation. Samson looked shocked, touching the bleeding wound on his neck and shoulder. Chris's bullet seemed to have hit a fatal blow, but Samson refused to go down without a fight.

With a sudden burst of strength, Samson yanked the metal cover off the underground sewage line and hurled it at Chris. I jumped to save him, but the metal cover slammed into me, sending us both crashing to the ground. Samson seized the opportunity to escape into the sewers. I was left hurting, my chest throbbing, possibly with a broken rib. Chris rushed to my side, and by the time we looked down into the sewer, Samson was long gone.

I felt a mix of emotions: frustration, anger, and a hint of satisfaction that Samson was vulnerable to mortal weapons. Chris turned to me, asking, "So what next?" I replied, "We have to arrest his accomplice." Chris's eyes widened as he realized who I meant - Mrs. Deli. He hesitated, but I was resolute. I grabbed the cuffs and walked into the house, determined to confront my former babysitter.

Mrs. Deli sat calmly sipping tea, her expression unflappable. "You couldn't resist the temptation, could you? You've made a grave mistake, and Samson will return to make you regret challenging him." I felt only bitterness towards her, aware that she had been dining with my mom's abductor all these years. I arrested her without resistance, my mind racing with the possibilities. She would either reveal Samson's hiding place or face the consequences of aiding and abetting my mom's abduction.

As I walked out with my cuffed former babysitter, Mrs. Deli, Chris couldn't hide his discomfort. He kept apologizing to her as he escorted her to our car, his eyes filled with a mix of guilt and sympathy. I, on the other hand, was resolute, my mind fixed on bringing her to justice.

That's when I spotted it - a brand new, sleek red race car parked next to ours. It was probably Samson's vehicle, and I decided to confiscate it. I informed Chris that I would ride in Samson's car, feeling a thrill of excitement at the prospect of driving such a powerful machine. I needed to get to the station quickly, to present enough convincing proof to get Mrs. Deli locked up before nightfall.

I instructed Chris to take Mrs. Deli to my house and detain her there until I called for him to come to the station. Chris reluctantly agreed, his eyes still fixed on Mrs. Deli with a hint of regret. We parted ways, driving off in separate directions, the sun setting behind us like a fiery backdrop. It would be more iconic to say we were riding into the sunset, two cars disappearing into the horizon, each with a different mission, but both driven by a shared determination to bring justice to the forefront.
