Chapter 26: Awakening of Abilities

Since Alex passed his inner trial, Silver Moon Apartments seemed to have become even more magical and lively. Each day brought new discoveries and challenges, and Alex felt his powers growing constantly. However, he didn't yet know that he was about to face a true awakening of his abilities.

This morning, Alex was awakened by a strange humming sound. He opened his eyes, surprised to find himself floating in mid-air, with all the objects around him suspended as well.

"What's going on?" Alex cried out in panic, trying to grab onto something to stabilize himself.

Just then, the door burst open, and Kai rushed in. Seeing the scene before him, he paused for a moment, then quickly calmed down.

"Alex, don't panic," Kai said, his voice tinged with excitement, "It looks like your abilities are awakening. Take a deep breath and try to control it."

Alex nodded, closed his eyes, and began to breathe deeply. Slowly, he felt energy flowing within him. When he opened his eyes again, he found himself and the surrounding objects gently descending to the ground.

"I... I did it?" Alex said in disbelief.

Kai walked over and gave Alex a hug. "You did great, Alex. It seems your abilities aren't just crossing dimensions, but also controlling gravity and space."

Just then, Leo's apparition appeared in the room. "Congratulations, Alex," he said with a smile, "Your abilities are growing rapidly. But be careful, the more powerful the ability, the more cautiously it needs to be used."

Alex nodded, "I understand. But how do I control these new abilities?"

Leo thought for a moment, "Perhaps it's time for you to have some practical training. Follow me."

They followed Leo to the top floor of Silver Moon Apartments. When the elevator doors opened, Alex and Kai both gasped in surprise.

The top floor was no longer the familiar roof garden, but a huge training ground. The space seemed to extend infinitely, filled with various strange obstacles and targets.

"This is..." Alex didn't know how to describe the scene before him.

Leo explained, "This is Silver Moon Apartments' secret training ground. It automatically adjusts its difficulty and environment based on the user's abilities. Alex, are you ready?"

Alex took a deep breath and nodded. "I'm ready."

Leo smiled, "Good. Remember, trust yourself, trust your abilities. Kai will be here to assist you."

As Leo disappeared, the training ground began to change. The ground suddenly started shaking, and various obstacles came rushing from all directions.

"Alex, focus!" Kai shouted, "Use your abilities!"

Alex closed his eyes, feeling the energy flow within him. When he opened his eyes, he found he could clearly "see" the spatial structure around him.

He reached out his hand, and the surrounding obstacles suddenly stopped in mid-air. Alex was surprised to find that he could manipulate the position and movement of these objects at will.

"This is incredible!" Alex said excitedly, "Kai, did you see that?"

Kai nodded, a proud smile on his face. "Well done, Alex. But don't let your guard down, there are more challenges waiting for you."

Just then, a black vortex suddenly appeared in one corner of the training ground, with countless Void creatures pouring out.

"Watch out!" Kai shouted, immediately releasing a shadow barrier.

Alex felt a wave of panic but quickly calmed down. He concentrated, feeling the structure of space. Suddenly, he had an idea.

Alex stretched out both hands, as if tearing the air. A spatial rift appeared in front of the Void creatures, sucking them in.

"I... I did it!" Alex said in disbelief.

Kai ran to Alex's side and gave him a hug. "That was amazing, Alex! You not only controlled gravity but also learned to open spatial gates!"

As they were celebrating, the entire training ground suddenly shook violently. A huge Void creature broke through the barrier and lunged towards them.

"Together!" Kai shouted, releasing powerful shadow energy.

Alex nodded, concentrating all his energy. He felt an unprecedented power surging within him. He reached out, merging his power with Kai's.

A dazzling light exploded, completely annihilating the huge Void creature. When the light faded, the training ground had returned to calm.

Leo's apparition appeared again, a satisfied smile on his face. "Well done, both of you. Alex, your abilities are progressing faster than I expected."

Alex felt both excited and a bit uneasy. "Leo, these abilities... can I really control them well?"

Leo's expression turned serious, "The abilities themselves are neither good nor bad, what matters is how you use them. Remember, Alex, with great power comes great responsibility."

Kai held Alex's hand, "Don't worry, I'll always be by your side. We'll learn together, grow together."

Alex looked at Kai gratefully, then turned to Leo. "Is there anything else we need to know?"

Leo thought for a moment, "Your abilities are still constantly awakening and growing. Always stay alert, because the power of the Void is also constantly strengthening. Most importantly, trust each other, trust Silver Moon Apartments."

As Leo disappeared, the training ground returned to its normal roof garden appearance. Alex and Kai stood at the edge of the roof, overlooking the night view of the city.

"How do you feel?" Kai asked softly.

Alex took a deep breath, "A bit scared, but also excited. I feel like I'm one step closer to understanding the truth of this world."

Kai smiled, "I'm proud of you, Alex. You're growing so fast."

Alex turned to face Kai, "It's all because you're by my side. Kai, no matter what happens, we'll face it together, okay?"

Kai nodded, gently kissing Alex. "Of course, we'll always be together."

Just then, a strange flash of light suddenly appeared in the distant sky. Alex and Kai alertly looked in that direction.

"Looks like our new challenge has arrived," Kai said, his tone tinged with excitement.

Alex gripped Kai's hand tightly, feeling a powerful force surging within him. "Then let's go meet it."

They smiled at each other, then leaped off the roof together. Alex easily controlled their descent, and they flew towards the distant anomaly as if they were flying.

Silver Moon Apartments flickered with a faint light behind them, as if cheering for its guardians. And in some corner of the apartment, Leo's apparition smiled as he watched it all. He knew that greater challenges were still waiting for these young guardians, but he also believed that as long as Alex and Kai were together, there was nothing they couldn't overcome.

The new adventure was just beginning.
