Qi Ash

I was woken by a servant, my clothes I had changed.

"You're wearing such thin clothes, do you intend not to go out today." He whispered.

I sighed, "Your highness, it's rather cold. I don't wish to catch something."

His footsteps echoed as I felt him, near me, by his touch.

"Your highness, Mistress Qi arrives from the countryside." The raspy voice spoke again.

Another pair of footsteps echoed as they trailed in, "Greetings to your highness, May you live a long life."

Her voice was soft and elegant, far nicer than the empress's cold sharp toned voice.

"You've learned your lesson? I presume." He spoke.

I blinked, "Lesson? Hmm...that's scary."

[The lesson he's thinking of is brutal, like taking a 100-pound boulder and carrying it 25 miles walk]

The wind blew in all of a sudden, "It's too cold for this..."

I felt a frosty breeze past by me, "Shut the windows now."

His thick cold voice caused shivered down those voices backs.

[He calls them voices to those he doesn't know the name of]

When I get cold I..speak less. I guess you could say.

I stood up, slowly walked over to my "bed" I think, grabbed this thick thing and placed it on him.

"Now you won't be cold," I muttered.

"Your highness, I have a concern and normally this mistress would never dare say such a bold thing to say." She spoke.

[Her speech is odd, like not are a type of speech]

"I..I'm concerned about this stranger who's living here, we know nothing about him! I don't know if either I or your highness know who he is and what he is! We don't even know if he can see or not!" She shouted frantically.

I sighed, "You're too loud."

His sharp voice most likely stung to her heart. That's gotta hurt.

"I should go, I'll excuse my self now—"

"You won't, she'll have to leave, you shall not." His voice spoke.

This is a pain, far more then physical pain, I don't want to deal with quibble, she far too squeaky, how could such a hyper person marry someone who's so cold and stiff?

"Your highness I don't dare disobey, but this mistress has said her concern and nothing has been replied. This mistress shall not go till an answer, shall not move from this spot, may I starve and shall die not knowing then so shall it be." She explained.

"Your concern is none of the matter of such a useless girl." He spoke with a merciless tone if voices were blades? She would be dead, well already dead.

"Drag her down, fifty planks." He spoke.

He'd annoyed?

I didn't say anything, I bet you she pleaded but I can't see it so...?

The screams hurt my ears, and I sighed.
