Chapter Eleven The New Face of Doomsville

"The Dark Entity...Hero or Villain??"

This was labeled in all of Doomsville's city newspapers and had circulated round the city like wild fire. The security cameras of Excel Bank had taped the whole epic scenario, and it was all over the internet.

While in school all the students kept chatting and gossiping about the trending video on the internet.

"Wow this is wicked cool" one of the students who had just happened to pass by Hugh said to his friend.

Hugh sighed deeply as they walked past him. He was tired of seeing people shouting and making silly gestures about him.

"So how does it feel?" Jeb suddenly popped out from nowhere.

"Shit I told you not to trouble me while in school" Hugh panicked silently.

"Relax chum, Selena's not here"

"What..no it's... not.._"

"Oh oh here she comes" Jeb said while quickly vanishing.

Hugh sighted Selena and it seemed like the earth had stopped rotating, his heart started pounding faster, this feeling was new...

"Hey Hugh" she said waving softly while approaching him.

"H..hi " he managed to say not looking at her.

"Are you okay?" She held his hand softly while asking.

Electric sparks ran through his whole body at that instance and he felt like his head would soon explode.

"I am...now" he said giving her a slight smile and causing her cheeks to turn pink.

"Hey babe...what's up?" Dylan abruptly walked in and kissed Selena on the cheek while crossing his right arm over her shoulder.

Hugh gently broke free from Selena's hand and coolly retracted it to his pocket.

"What's up bro" Dylan said stretching his hand out for a handshake.

The insides of Hugh were boiling with rage as he glared at him. Selena could somehow feel the invisible aura that he was emitting.

"Am good..." Hugh promptly replied and coolly left without shaking his hand.

Dylan smiled and gently retracted his hand into his pocket. He turned to Selena and said.

"Let's go babe...."

But she tipped his hand off and stormed out furiously, leaving him confused.

Hugh quickly entered the restroom and took his hands out from his pockets, the tattoo symbols on his palms where emitting strange dark purple lights.

"Jeb what's happening to me?".

Meanwhile in the Legion island Ironklaw was rewatching a replay on the trending video of the new anonymous hero.

"Everyone to the conference room now!" Metalio ordered before walking away.

They all knew this was the time to get serious so they all complied. While in the conference room Fury was around and was standing beside Metalio.

While Julia his personal secretary walked in and handed him some files.

"Thank you Julia...." He thanked her while collecting the files.

She simply nodded and quietly walked away. Boost was quick to steal a glimpse at her round, firm back side. They all had their own secretaries and boost had managed to sleep with almost every single one of them except for Julia.

"The official annunciation is today, you guys insisted we needed time to mourn the dead, look where its gotten us...if we don't show the people that they can still rely on us, then we might as well get ready to forfeit all this." He muttered while looking around the luxurious conference room.

"So who's the new face of Doomsville?"

Doomsville city center was filled to the brim with people. They were having a big festival in memory of Omega man and a new symbol of hope was also going to be introduced.

"Welcome citizens of Doomsville, indeed today is a great day and I as mayor of this town is indeed happy to live and witness

this day.." He gestured for the dancers and all those performing to carry on before leaving.

A group of singers walked up to the stage and started performing. The people were rejoicing and almost everyone were wearing different costumes of their favorite hero, mostly that of Omega man.

It was "Heroes Day" and the children were always so excited because they got to see their favorite heroes perform a crazy stunt or have a light duel.

Hugh was present for the festival, it was actually his first time in a very long time to be attending something like that. However he had to go because he could no longer bear Jeb's taunting.

"The people they love me..." Jeb said dreamily while smiling wrly.

He sighed silently and went over to watch a duel between two supers. Earlier when he started feeling the strange energy surging through his body,he didn't understand what was happening. But when he reached home he noticed the tattoos had burned through his clothes, and imprinting it's patterns around it.

Jeb suggested they search the house to know if his father might have had any secret room or where he hid all his stuffs. He knew about a secret room that his father had warned him not to enter. But he knew that eventually he'd have to and maybe that time was now.

"Alright everyone...let's welcome the Big six!!" The mayor shouted excitedly

A private futuristic jet that beared a huge logo of the Legion landed smoothly at the center of the town hall, and after a few minutes the Big Six walked out. Their was a lot of noise as the people roared excitedly.

But all that soon faded and was replaced with murmurs and whispers when they sighted a seventh partner. The rumor about her being the new face of Doomsville was not the issue at hand rather it was cause of her physics.

She was an alien and not the human kind but a very different specie. Her light purple skin blended well with her black and golden long sleeve jumpsuit costume. The suit seemed to be made from latex because it clung so tight to her body, exposing her delicate feminine curves. She didn't seem to mind the stares as she walked gracefully, her long silver hair swayed brilliantly against her short dark blue roman-fleuve cape.

They walked up to the stage and the Mayor respectfully shook hands with them before handing the microphone over to Metalio.

"Greetings citizens of Doomsville...it's really a pleasure for use to be here...we all know that it's been a really tough time for everyone but this city has survived far worse..."

"Yeahhh...!!"

"Woohoo!!!..." The crowd roared cheerfully.

"And we shall not be put down so easily...not now ! not ever!!" He roared hoping to bring more light into the crowd.

"Yeahh!!!..." The crowd roared, more audible than the first time.

"I love you Boost!!" A feminine voice shouted admist the crowd.

Boost could only smile as he waved towards the crowd. It wasn't the first time he was receiving such comments. Aside his dazzling looks, his costume was more likely the most colorful, so he gained more of the attention.

The was decorated with in a blue and yellow colour, it was however predominantly blue.

His gloves, boots and his lightning chest logo were the only yellow coloured parts in his suit.

He wore the costume not just to shield his identity from the public but also to protect himself when running around at high speeds. Due to his insanely fast movement, he was always at the risk of burning up from air friction, luckily the costume prevents that from happening. His blue cowl mask had a small Hermes wings over his ears.

The roaring had slowly dissipated and the crowd were once again quiet.

"Alright everyone...I'll like to introduce to you all the new face of Doomsville...Omega girl!" Metalio gestured for her to step forward.

An outburst of clapping, whistling and nasty remarks were given off by the audience as she stepped forward. Gradually it all died down and the crowd went numb as soon as she took the microphone.

"Thank you everyone... personally am happy to be there in this wonderful planet..."

"you're looking mighty fine sweetie!!" Shouted someone from the crowd.

She simply gave off a flirtatious smile and continued with her speech.

"During the 90s a spaceship crashed here in Doomsville...my home planet was raided during my birth...we were refugees seeking for shelter but unfortunately I was the only one to survive the crash" She paused a bit to catch her breath and then she continued

"Am not telling you all this because I want you to feel sorry for me...but because it's part of why I want to protect this city with my life... Captain Bolt gave me a reason to live..he gave me a purpose in life and I'll be damned to let another planet I consider home die on my watch!"

"Blah Blah Blah!!" The people all turned back as soon as they heard the strange voice.

And there stood Johnny Iceman, a new crazy wannabe villain. He was a bit known for his ability to manipulate Ice.

"This city is mine for the taking sweetie...and I might as well sta_".

His skull split into two before his words could slip out of his mouth. Blood and bits of brains splattered on the nearby people's face. A huge sharp chunk of metal had cut through the crazy wannabes head.

Metalio smiled to himself he was proud with how well he'd handled the situation. He could see how horrified everyone were including the Big Six. All except for Iron klaw who remained unmoved.

The rest were all shocked so he seized to moment to make a smooth final statement.

"To all the crazy villains out there...This is the new face of Doomsville".
