Chp.20- Drama Queen.

I woke up feeling like absolute shit. I cried as I held my stomach and rolled on my bed. Oh, how much I loathed the first day of my period. It was absolute hell for me.

"oh god, why me!"

Pulling my knees up towards my chest, I clutched my stomach and recoiled onto my side. The feel of my cotton sheets offered no comfort to my trembling body. An ice cold sweat ran down my spine and soaked my nightgown, while heat seared in my lower abdomen as if I was being internally singed.

Why was it me? Why did I have to endure such torment when there were others who skipped merrily around, barely grazed by the symptoms of their menstrual cycle? I rolled my eyes at the thought of Aarin's gleeful face when she confessed her periods were a 'slight inconvenience'. Mine, on the other hand, were absolute hell.

"Ahan. What happened?" I heard my mother's voice from the entrance, but didn't have the energy to turn back to look at her. I groaned in response and curled my body even more until it folded.

"What happened to you, Fayth? This early morning." She came and sat beside me on the bed, caressing my face.

"My stomach hurts." I whined as tears rolled down my cheeks.

"Oh my baby," She rubbed my arms and kissed the tears on my cheeks. "I'll go and get you some pain killers to take. Do you still want to go to school today?" She asked me with a frown on her face.

"Yeah," I sighed as I rubbed my stomach. "The pain will stop as soon as I take the painkillers. I can't miss school."

"Ah! Are you sure, Fayth?" I only hummed back in response.

Third person pov.

"Please tell me you got us food, "

Was the first thing Nkem uttered to Williams the moment he got to the cafeteria.

Williams Jiddena raised an eyebrow at him amusedly. "Well hello to you too friend. I'm doing absolutely fantastic, thanks for asking." He rolled his eyes.

"Cut the crap, I'm super hungry right now and I'm not in the mood." Nkemjika grumbled, taking a seat next to Williams, and a very quiet Anuoluwa. He dug into Williams's food without warning and dished a full spoon into his mouth. Williams stared speechless and wide mouthed at him as he continued to eat his food without any remorse.

Anu for the first time that day, made a sound. A small chuckle escaped his lips as he watched Nkem and Williams with slight amusement flashing in his eyes.

"Dude! That's my food! Go get your own for damn sake," Williams recovered from his shock and dragged the plate of rice from Nkemjika, snatching the spoon from him as well. "Rubbish."

"Hi boys," Sylvie Hussein sat next to Anu who smiled slightly at her in greeting.

Kelly, Evaurere, Rachelle and Kasim followed suit, taking their respectful seats around the table.

"Here Nkem, your food." Sylvie handed the boy a food tray. The Igbo boy smiled brightly in return.

"Thank you, Sylvie. That's why I love you." As if planned, the rest of the gang rolled their eyes at the same time at his comment.

"YOU PIG!" Sylvie flinched, and the rest of them at the table let out a long sigh.

"Here we go again." Kasim mumbled under his breath. By now the whole cafeteria was busy staring at the scene. A very angry Chiazokam glaring at a very terrified Bela, a junior, her hands shaking as she held the tray in her hands.

"Oh em gee,"

"LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE YOU PIG! DON'T YOU HAVE EYES? CAN'T YOU LOOK WHERE YOU'RE GOING? ARE YOU BLIND?!" Chiazokam continued her yelling. Bela flinched back as a few students got up from their seats to get a better view.

"I can't believe I'm going to the same school with a bush girl like you. NOW LOOK AT THIS MESS!" She let out a scream that made everyone to cover their ears with horrified looks on their faces.

"Jesus." Evaurere stared at Chia in horror.

"That is enough, Chiazokam Isiekwe!" All head turned to the source of the voice. Esosa Williston walked into the scene, an annoyed look on her face.

"You're making a scene, can't you see?" Esosa said, standing in front of the shaking girl in a protective stance. " What happened was clearly a mistake. She didn't do it internationally, so stop trying to make a big deal out of it!"

"She knows what she did!"

"Shut up, Chia!" Esosa snapped at her, eyes blazing in anger. She pointed towards the exit door. " Go cool yourself down. I don't want you bullying this girl again, you hear me?"

Chiazokam glared at the darker girl, then at Bela. She  screamed again, stormed out, stomping her feet towards the exit. She yelled out a "MOVE " to the girls standing by the entrance and pushed the poor girls  away, both of them stumbling in, almost falling flat on their faces. Both girls turned to stare at the retreating figure with their mouths gaping, then their eyes slowly narrowing slits at her figure.

"Bitch."

Bela pressed her lips together, staring downwards at her wasted food with tears threatening to spill from her eyes.

"Don't let what she says get to you." Bela raised her head to stare at the darker girl. Esosa offered her a sympathetic smile, giving her a reassuring squeeze on the shoulder before returning back to her seat. Bela sighed, dropping the tray back with the lunch lady, then she walked out of the cafeteria.

Once again, Chiazokam Isiekwe had managed to embarrass her in front of the whole school.

Evaurere twisted her body to face the exit, watching as the sad girl walked out of the room. She couldn't help but feel sorry for her.

Chia liked to exaggerate things sometimes.

She sighed, turning back around to her previous position. "Poor girl."

No one said anything in return. But they were all feeling the same way.

"Yes sir, I understand but...she...She can't leave school until closing... We will try to calm the situation, sir." Zahara Skyy stared at her vice principal, as she talked on the phone with one of her student's parents.

"Ehn, let her come home please. I've already sent the driver to come pick her." The man said, his eastern accent coming out strong.

"She is so upset. And I don't think she can concentrate in class anymore." Both ladies locked gazes and shook their heads in disbelief.

"Okay sir, " Belinda Bakare sighed, hanging up. She turned to the teacher. "Chiazokam again."

Zahara sighed, " That girl is a real drama queen. Just because of a little accident she went to report to her father?"

"I can't wait for that girl to graduate out of this school honestly. I cannot wait. Her wahala is simply too much for me." She huffed, getting up from her seat. "Lemme go find out if she's okay, so I can prepare her for pick up"
