"Your father was indeed wrong for his empty promises to my aunt. She was hurt and all. But that was them. It was their problem. Not ours. We are different. My parents were still wrong for forcing us apart like that. They were so heartless to separate us regardless of our feelings," Seo Joon said with so much bitterness.
Anna knew that Seo Joon was right as well. Both of them were hurt so much because of that. Anna almost dropped out of school due to it but her mother and grandparents supported her and encouraged her to finish her studies or else Seo Joon's parents would have more to say once they learn that she did not pursue her studies.
Years later, she heard the reason from Seo Joon's sister. Anna also got to know that Seo Joon attempted suicide once. But their parents threatened him that if he were to do it again, all his responsibilities will become that of his younger sister.
