Chapter 5

4 years later

Emilia looked at her map it had been all but full names of kingdoms and villages she past she smiled now that she finally made the trip she then fell to the ground a young child came walking close to her he smiled the child had looked like any ordinary child but just exclude the white silver hair and the red iris he smiled "Basil we're finally here after four years woo!" Emilia said basil smiled he nodded "I told you mommy that we should have taken a dragon now basils feet hurt."

Emilia sighed she got up her feet had been hurting since she hadn't stopped walking and only stopping when necessary she looked at Basil with a furious face she speared him she started hugging him tightly she smiled basil laughed "mommy your going to kill Basil if you squeeze Basil too much." Emilia smiled "why do you talk in a third person way ever since you started talking you've always done that?" Basil looked at her confused and a bit upset "is it not alright?" Emilia shook her head "it's alright your three talk the way you want plus I mean it's pretty cute and you are a little cutey." Emilia said basil smiled he nodded Emilia got up she picked up Basil and walked into the village she looked around there had been many in poverty Emilia could tell they would not survive Emilia started having flashes she walked where she remembered where her mom was once she got there she opened the door.

There she found a beautiful women and two children one was about 8 the other had been somewhere a bit older then Basil the women turned around she stared at Emilia confused Emilia eyes locked on a door opened "hey is food done cam is just a baby he needs to eat?" The women faced where the voice came from she nodded "y-yeah it's in there." She said the guy noticed where the women was looking at he looked at Emilia confused "who the hell are you?" Emilia gulped "sorry I probably got the wrong.... home!" Emilia turned around she began to exit but was stopped by a sharp object pointed at her back Basil had a view of the object he gulped "who are you looking for women are you working for lord Roman of the Prius village if you are tell him this we don't have the money yet." Emilia shook her head.

She gulped once more "I'm-I'm just looking for my mom it's been 9 years since I saw her." The man sighed he took the blade away from Emilias back Emilia still felt her heart pound Emilia heard a plate drop she turned around the women had dropped a plate of food spilling it on the floor the man had gotten upset but he noticed the women's face she was shocked "E-Emilia i-is that you?" She said Emilia eyes widened she started walking towards the women her walking turned into her jogging her jogging turned into running once she was there she hugged the women "mama I found you!" Emilia sad.

Basil had gotten squished when they hugged "mommy basils still here and Basils being crushed!" Emilia exited the embrace she laughed Basil got set down by Emilia, Emilia then hugged her mother again "mom you look better." Emilia's mom smiled she nodded "yeah I was cured by him 9 years ago." She said pouting at the man who had pointed the blade in Emilia back he had looked confused "I'm Derek."

Emilia nodded she bowed "thank you for saving my mom." Derek nodded Emilia looked around her "who are these children?" Mom looked at her she sighed "why don't you sit down there's a long story I must tell you." Emilia nodded she sat down Basil sat down on Emilia's lap he looked at his mom with a smile Emilia smiled back "Emilia first things first there's something you should know... after you went missing your father had died." Emilia looked at her mom Emilia's smile faded "when he found out you went missing because you hadn't returned he went looking everywhere for you after a few days he himself went missing-" Emilia had cut her off she looked at her upset "if he went missing how can you say he died dad couldn't have died he's strong!" Emilia said.

Mom looked at her frowning "after he went missing a handful of men went looking for him too..... they all returned with his corpse half of his body was chewed on the other was left in tact we suspected he died trying to fight something off but it had killed him." Emilia looked at her shocked she looked at the children "that still doesn't explain these children who are they?"

Mom looked down "these kids are mine and Derek's kids and they're your siblings." Emilia's eyes widened a tear fell down her face and had hit Basil he looked up Emilia had been looking at all the kids with a hint of hatred in her eyes "b-but that one the older one he looks 8 so he would have been born 9 years ago?" Emilia looked back at her mother she had frowned "me and your dad.... just wasn't getting along like we used to when you went missing one thing came after another-" mom had gotten cut off Emilia fainted Derek catches her before she can hit the floor.

Emilia's began to dream of a memory

"Dad my school is doing a daughter and father dance c-can we go?" Emilia said Dad smiled he nodded "of course anyway me and your mom have a question for you?" Emilia looked at her dad she nodded "how would you like a sibling?" Emilia smiled she nodded

Three years later during the disappearance

"Sister I'm scared." Emilia nodded she hugged Mac closer to her chest "it's alright Mac your alright we'll be fi-" Mac started coughing uncontrollably after a few seconds he started to cough out blood "Mac?" Emilia watched as her brother fell to the ground "BASIL!"

Emilia immediately sat up she looked at her hands she started crying "Mac." She felt someone's hand on her back she looked next to her it had been her mom Emilia pushed it away "Mac..." Emilia said mom looked at her then down "Mac was such a kind child he wouldn't even hurt a fly he deserved a be-" Emilia cut off her mom she frowned "mom just don't..... i was the one who basically raised Mac..... and I was the one to be next to him when he died while you only got better he.... it should have been you.... he's only had a short time in this world you had such a long time it should have been you!"

Mom looked at her shocked "I hated all these years I thought I missed you I thought that was the only reason I looked for you but it turns out I just looked for you in spite." Mom stood up shocked Emilia got up from her bed she looked down "maybe it's best if we don't finish introductions." Emilia said mom had moved her hand on Emilia's shoulder Emilia looked at her "I already know about everything you have a son and his name is Basil the nickname you gave your brother because of his love for the plant."
