Chapter 30 – Meeting with the Vampire Queen

 A few days had passed, and in that short time period, Atsushi was now an official soldier of the Red Scarlet Army. He was skillful on rescue missions against the beastmen of the apocalypse and with Saya on his side, he seems to be unstoppable alongside his comrades Basuki and Myeong. One day, Yeager took him to visit his stepsister Krul Tepes in the vampires' underground lair. At this point, Atsushi, clad in his bright red military uniform and had brought his signature halberd, didn't know that because Yeager didn't tell him her name. But, he was looking forward to seeing her with positive excitement.

 And then, they entered the said lair, and Atsushi quickly recognized that place as the vampires' underground lair back in his previous life. "Wait…this place…Yeager-san?" Yeager then looked at him. "Yes, you remembered this?"

 "Y-Yes, this is the vampires' underground lair!"

Yeager smiled at him. "Good. Now we will meet her."

 And then, they arrived at Krul Tepes' throne room. Seeing Krul Tepes on her throne, Atsushi was shocked to his heart. "No way!" he thought in his mind.

 "Atsushi, this is Krul Tepes, the current queen of the vampires," Yeager introduced him to his stepsister.

 "You're late," Krul Tepes said to Yeager with an upset voice.

 "Yeah, yeah," Yeager replied with complacency, "I was busy running my army."

The vampires came and looked at Yeager and Atsushi, making Atsushi nervous.

But, they know Yeager before so they gave their greetings and respects to him.

 "What?!" Atsushi responded to this.

 "Hello there, human," Crowley said to him.

Atsushi then recognized him as Crowley. "Wait, you're Crowley, right?"

 "Yes, I am. You must be one of Red Scarlet Army's new soldiers."

 "Y-Yes, I am."

Krul Tepes then stood up and approached Atsushi down the steps.

 "Um…" Atsushi was nervous at her.

Then, she runs her hand on Atsushi's right cheek. "You must be a tough warrior, am I right?"

 "Yes, I am."

 "Krul, cut that out," Yeager interrupted that moment. "He can be nervous and anxious."

 "Whatever, old man." Krul Tepes snapped at him.

Yeager was very upset. "You're like more than a thousand years old, while I am only 25."

Because of that, Atsushi and Saya are dumbfounded by it.

 "Wow, that's a huge age gap."

 "Yeah, it was."

And then, Atsushi asked Ferid about Krul Tepes and Yeager's relationship, "Um, are they always like that?"

 "Well, when they meet up, they will go in a meaningless fight," Ferid replied.

 "But, that will die down, and they will go along for the most part after that," Crowley responded back.

"Oh, okay…" Atsushi gets it now, and so as Saya.
